Residence Inn Charlotte Concord

We visited for 5 nights as part of a wedding party. Staff members were friendly & helpful throughout our stay and the interior & exterior were kept clean. Our 1-bed suite was great and we enjoyed having a full sized fridge, microwave, and other appliances for our extended stay. There were only 2 small negatives in the room itself - lighting was strange and we never did figure out the coffee pot... With a long stay & large group, it was nice to have a variety of outdoor seating area options. However, when our group of 12 decided to make use of the firepit and grilling area, we ran into issues. The firepit didn’t work at all and the gas grill wouldn't get to temperature for cooking. Fortunately, we were able to use a small charcoal grill, but had to cook in shifts. The pool area was also frustrating - I can't think of anywhere I've stayed where there was an indoor pool but no hottub. We still tried the pool, but could only stay in the water for a few minutes because it was kept so cold. The location was very convenient for us - close to restaurants, stores, etc without feeling like we were in a city atmosphere. Just far enough set back from the road that it stayed quiet and peaceful. With a small effort, this could be an awesome property, rather than a good one.

Loved this hotel, very clean and had alot of food options and mall near by. Bed was amazing!! Customer service was great as well. The ONLY thing I had a little issue was is that they only had 1 elevator for the WHOLE building.

Check in was smooth, the place was perfect for what we were looking for. Nice pool, nice view, and a basketball court. Clean, great condition. Perfect for our stay! Kitchen and enough space for 6 people to sleep. Made our plans turn out great! My niece's sweet 16 was a success! All smiles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything was good except when I went to the fire pit it wouldn’t start and the grill wouldn’t start up either.

Front desk staff was often busy and away from the desk. The bed in the larger room was not made, with pillows and duvet on the floor of the dressing area. After the issue was corrected, we still had to request a vacuum cleaner to complete the job. The mattress on the pullout sofa was somewhat dirty as well, but the linens were clean and easy to put on the mattress. That said, it was a Nascar weekend, and the hotel was very busy. The indoor pool was very cold and not enjoyable to swim in, however the gym was well maintained and all the equipment was in proper order. The laundry facilities were easy to use with an app, and the property was overall clean and easy to get in and out of.

Hotel was ok. Indoor pool is not heated. Booked this hotel primarily for the indoor pool. No hot tub. Noisy guests. Property is old/worn. Needs to be cleaned better. Saw a gentleman cleaning the entry way earlier in the day, later when we went by it didn’t look like he had cleaned anything.

Hard to find check in desk, believe it or not. Value poor. Indoor Pool was freezing. And breakfast was poor.

I really liked how amazingly clean it was. I also loved having a fullish kitchen. It was very comfortable!

Room appeared nice but had ants in the shower. And, it may possibly have bed bugs as I had bites, itching and hives on my neck during the night. I looked for them but didn't see anything.

The staff was nice enough. I reserved a non handicapped king. When we got there we were told there were only handicapped kings available, so we took one, Rm#204. The mattress was horrible, completely worn out, could feel and hear the springs. There was feces on the toilet tank by the flusher handle and it had been there quite some time. Chunky mold in the shower, filthy grout lines in the backroom. Gross. Next day we moved to Rm#514. This room had a new mattress. The bathroom grout lines were disgusting, like a gas station bathroom floor. I cleaned 2 tile grout lines with vinegar &water to show how dirty, took pictures to inform/show staff. This crud had been there long term. In the kitchen, grout lines gross and there was greasy accumulation with dog and human hair sticking to the side of the fridge next to the cook top. I made staff aware of all and emailed them pictures. I was comp'd 10,000 points, but asked for full free night to comp for #204 (feces on the toilet tank room) where I got zero sleep due to the horrible mattress. If we hadn't gotten to the room so late, I would have had them switch us rooms. By the time we got back from eating dinner and saw the discrepancies in the room, and the mattress, it was after midnight. I used to love and trust the Marriott brand. This hotel had a framed "97.0" score from the health department. At first glance, the common areas and hallways look clean. Elevator also got stuck.

We always try to get a suite as we like having 'space' and our 500sqft room was perfect. The bathroom could use a little more space, but overall it was a great room.

The size of the suite was incredibly prefect for my family! The staff was very friendly, especially Bobby when we checked in very late at night.

The staff were friendly and professional. It was a bit loud until around 11pm (we had a room facing the courtyard with the basketball court, pool, and putting range area) but then things quieted down.

I stay here whenever I have to go to Charlotte. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. I love the kitchen area and being able to cook my own food.

Even though my room was reserved and their policy states check in is at anytime….no cut off when we arrived after driving 3 hrs after midnight, I was told my room was canceled!! And the next available room with vacancies was 25-30 minutes away!

Large Residence Inn property. Front staff were nice (only really had an interaction with Greg, he was very upbeat and friendly). Housekeeping seemed to have a language barrier causing some miscommunications. Aside from Greg, the property didn’t have any “wow factors”. Broken hinges on doors, broken tiles in the bathroom, just not really what I’d expect from a Marriott Bonvoy property.

The staff double charged us for the room and didn't know what they were doing. The two people at the front desk didn't greet us and acted as though we were a bother. When we alerted by our credit card company of the charge, they didn't know how to reverse it and we are still waiting. The hotel elevators were out of service. One of the rooms in our group had a toilet seat that was unattached, mold behind the wall paper next to shower... Overall condition and staff, I would say find another place. This property is a dump.

Arrived to water pipes busting. Not water, they arranged for us to shower next door. Good to go. Next moring no hot water...Blah. I was there for business and had about 10 employees staying. Patrick the GM comped all our rooms for one night and I didn't pay for the conference room. We use this hotel a lot and will continue to have trainings there. Great Customer Service!!

We came here after Hurricane Helene hit our town of Asheville, NC. We had booked on Expedia for 2 nights at a good rate but we didn't make any further reservations bc we didn't know what was happening in our town due to no cell signal or internet. On our last day, we asked at the front desk if we could extend one more day bc we had found out we still had no power or running water. Front desk said they were showing no availability bc they were holding rooms for linemen coming into the area to help but we could check back the next day and if they were allowed to release rooms, we could keep our room no problem. We completely understood. The next day, they said we could keep the room. We asked if we needed to book on Expedia. They said, it would show as no availability but they could fix it. We were very appreciative. We returned home and a few days later finally got cell signal in our area. I looked at the emailed bill and they had charged me 1 night at the Expedia rate and 2 nights at the higher rate. I immediately called and explained the situation. Although she was nice, she said oh no we don't price matched with Expedia, you should have rebooked with them. I said I would have but your front desk person said they could take care of it. Then the other issue was I was overcharged for the 2nd night from Expedia. I had to email my confirmation. So they had to refund me where they overcharged that night, but refused to for the 3rd night. Watch their billing!!

My sister and I arrived at 3:30 and our room was not ready and that was fine but the guy at the front desk was not very friendly. Someone had left trash out of the side door and it was still there the next morning, which was nasty. The sausage at breakfast was horrible. And the tv in our room kept skipping so made watching a show very irritating. Other than that we enjoyed our room. But for the cost of motel, we were expecting it to be outstanding.

Easy access to highway, dining options close.

The hotel itself was nice, with a very helpful and friendly staff. As a solo traveller without a car it isn't the most convenient location. For any dining and local sights you'll need to call an Uber. But I perhaps could have looked into this more before I left. My primary reason for travel was a convention at the hotel next door, so of course for that it was very convenient. There is a complimentary breakfast offered, but you'll likely want to head out for something more substantial. Staff gave me lots of good recommendations.

The rooms were spacious and well maintained! My family and I stayed for 2 nights/3 days to attend a wedding in Concord, and this location was absolutely perfect. Close to the CLT airport, the wedding venue and many dining/shopping options! The hotel was clean, the HOT complimentary breakfast was just right and the amenities kept our family entertained.

It was good and convenient. Very close to UNC Charlotte.

The property is close to local attractions and shopping. Staff interactions were always friendly and helpful.

The hotel was really nice, will definitely stay again. It was in the perfect location to what we wanted to do. Ever yone was friendly. Breakfast was good as well. Very friendly to pets. Only thong is there is no inroom safe. That would have been very nice. But our stay was very pleasant!

Our third time here and we will be back for a fourth time in October for the Roval. Staff is excellent and helpful and we've had no issues with our rooms. Great breakfast and close to restaurants and shopping if that's what your into. We love the full kitchen and making our own.

Our unit (#404) was nice, but needs some attention. A couple of lights/lamps in our unit did not work (or need new bulbs?) The BED is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE -- too low - close to the floor. Sleeping on the short couch (NOT hideabed) was a bit better, but of course too short for an adult. Some of the Breakfast staff failed to maintain good availability of food through time allowed. We expect more at this accomodation price.

Uncomfortable office chair. Water always running in toilet tank. Lights are very dim. Toilet door is heavy to open and close. Not enough towel handles to hang towels. Breakfast is bad.
