No valet. Handicapped and no parking near the front desk. Had to park. Walk all the way to the front desk. Walk all the way back to the car with a luggage cart. Push the cart all the way back past the front desk and down a hallway to the elevator.

The hotel is very nice, the room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. The hotel is a little noisier than typical, perhaps due to the attitudes of the guests having fun at the casino. The parking lot is ENORMOUS, and since the casino valet parking lot is directly in front of the hotel entrance, you can expect a LONG walk back & forth to your car out in the parking lot, particularly when the casino is busy.

Check in great. No.valet parking, lot is far from door. Its dark so my car was hit. Bell hop is self serve. Staff doesnt answer the phone at night. Restaurants close early so food is scarce after 10p. Barely winners in the casino. Snack machine ia so expensive. Room was great but they have no views other than construction outside. Clean, fun decor old timey train. People were smoking in the None smoking section. PRIMO restaurant was delicious. 🎤

Parking is terrible unless you’re an elite member. Even with handicap placard I had to park far away from the entrance. Then the walk from the hotel to the casino felt like a mile. Poor layout.

Casino and indoor shopping mall is very unique. Only drawback is they can’t get workers so most shops are closed. Such a shame.

The property was very clean and offered free valet parking. There isn’t a pool or much for children to do inside the casino. The casino was clean and had vending machines with soda and coffee for their guests in the gambling area. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was easy. I would definitely stay here again due to it’s close proximity to KC Royals stadium.

The carpet in our room was digusting. Worn and stained, I wouldnt even take my shoes off. When the sheets were pulled back to go to bed there were water bottle caps from previous stay still on the floor. The lamp between the beds was covered in dust. Otherwise the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean so I do appreciate that. But carpet definitely needs replacement. We have stayed 3 times now and the hotel and casino are great, this was the worst room with stained carpet we have stayed in.

Stayed because we attended a concert in Star Pavillion. Appreciate the facility and convenience. Sports bar was open (it was a Sunday) food was 'okay'. As for the room, mattress was very thin. Could hear others using the restroom above us. Cleanliness...like the air vent was very dirty. Linens and towels were clean.

There was vomit on the ground in front of the greeting bench that stayed there for the entire 2 day period we were there. The men’s bathroom nearest the train car was dirty and unattended. Two of the stall door latches weee broken. The casino overhead music was inappropriately loud. I’ve been a patron of the Ameristar KC for many years and it sure seems that this property has simply deteriorated over the past few years

The shower was durty and had black mold. The front desk associate charged us an extra 120.95 for resort fees. - my receipt said it was a going to be 17.72. According to the associate this fees are for - Free WIFI, unlinited local and long distance calls, Free Parking, in room coffee, in room safe, in room refrig, in room iron and ironing board, water station in hotel lobby and few other things. One would think that if it is in the room it is part of the cost to rent the room. They advertized Valet Services - per front desk associate "Only on Weekends" I would like to say thank you to the associate who checked us out. She reversed the charges saying this was not right.

The room didn't look like it had been cleaned before we checked in. Hair all over the shower and misc trash around the room and dust in the corners. The front desk staff were very unprofessional complaining about other guests to myself. There isn't a sidewalk to get to the parking area for the hotel, which makes it unsafe.

Casino was great. Many dining options. Room was clean and quiet. Con: the bathroom smelled like sewer gas. Called the front desk to let them know and was told to flush the toilet x3 and call back if still an issue. Called back with no answer from the front desk.

This hotel has gone downhill quickly. The horrific smells in our room as well as the hallway were shocking. It smelled like massive water damage occurred on the 11th floor and created strong mildew and poop smells. It gave us horrible headaches. We called the front desk to ask if maintenance or room service could come do something to help mask the smell and no one ever showed up. It was impossible to sleep all night due to the awful smell. We will not be going back. I also never understand the carpet choices in the hotel. It looks like multiple murders occurred in the hallways as the carpets have large splatters of red which looks like blood. Just a horrible experience when it has so much potential for customers going to concerts and want to stay overnight.

Our hotel room did not have a screen on the window - and it was the 7th floor and fully opened. Seemed dangerous. Room was perfect otherwise. The casino area is very cute and reminds me of the NY NY in Vegas a bit however it is incredibly smoky. The casino was fairly empty when we stayed but the smoke was so so strong. Would be nice if they could find a solution to reduce it some.

Loved it. Room was clean. Beds were super comfy. Only gambled a little bit but it was fun. Loved walking around the interior of the building. It was a great place to stay after two days of concerts. Only thing i honestly didn't realize was missing until like the second day was that we didn't have a microwave or anything to warm up food in the room. Just the mini-fridge. I will say the safe is big enough for a laptop, gaming console, etc.

Check-in was smooth. Good conversation with a very friendly receptionist. Room was nice. Pillows were a little firm for my taste, but still okay. The room next to us had a family of at least four and we could hear every. single. thing. We woke up two hours before our alarm to the kids screaming and squealing, and the mom telling them to wipe their butts, put pants on, etc. Check-out was fairly quick, but detatched, lackluster. We weren't asked how our stay was, just given our receipt and sent away.

The hotel was nice and clean - staff very friendly. However it was probably one of the worst nights sleep I ever had. The head board has a backlight on it that won’t turn off! It will dim but we couldn’t get it to shut off. I am the type of person who has to sleep in total darkness and this was horrible. I got up so tired from lack of sleep!

Everything about the room was great except the bed and pillows. Bed was uncomfortable, sway in the middle, and the pillows were like sleeping on a bag of marbles. I was supposed to be able to have early check in, but desk said since it was booked through a 3rd party, that didn't apply. They absolutely would not allow check in before 4 pm. Ridiculous! Desk worker had an attitude.

Check out is 11 and we were being hounded started at 8:45am. Im a sound sleeper and finally heard them knocking. Hollared thru the door to hold on a sec so I could put clothes on. They still opened our door that was deadbolted and had a Do not disturb sign to the maintenance guy seeing me in my underwear trying to scramble to get dressed. This is so unacceptable. Because he was telling me that he thought our room was an adjoining room that ours got locked on accident. Our room was not an adjoining room so the reason for barging in made no sense. Then the night before couldn't get a bottle of soda/water anywhere bc none of the vending machines would work we tried Multiple floors. And for a casino very shocked at the lack of food options for late hours

I loved my stay at ameristar kc. Only issues were they were not able to see my reservstion on gheir end. After 30 minutes trying to figure it out with expedia on the phone, the staff at ameristar decided to comp my room. Ill always be grateful to those employees and how great the room was. No doubt I will be back.when I am in kansas city

Even though we booked our room in January when we arrived the hotel was overbooked. We were sent to another hotel. We were told it was better than the Ameristar but it definitely was not. Due to the time it took we did get to eat supper before the concert

We ended up getting a good rate going through a third party to book, so the room fee was nice, compared to the normal fee. The room was nice, clean and what I was hoping for from a casino. (For context, I stayed at a casino last year, that I won't name, and the shower was tiny, which was odd for a well-known casino) The floor staff at the casino was awesome and made our friend's birthday celebration a memorable one. My only complains about the stay are: - Limited power outlets near the beds (all of us require the use of a CPAP and didn't have enough outlets to use them) - The front desk staff. We had to wait for a bit at check-in and another 10+ minutes at check out for anyone to show up at the desk. Needless to say that by the time the lone staff member did show up, there were already multiple people besides myself waiting to be helped.

This place is very nice but this is the second time we have shown up here and they tell us we have no reservation.We book on Hotels.com and stay different places 2 or 3 weekends a month with no problems, apparently this place hates hotels.com. After arguing with her and proving that we have reservations with confirmation numbers and screen shots from our phone when we booked it they miraculously found our room. WOW! The lady was completely rude and should be fired, what an embarrassment for Amaristar.

I travel a LOT and my room at Ameristar was one of the nicest and cleanest I’ve ever stayed in! Staff was super friendly and helpful! Most often I don’t care too much about my room because when traveling I am not hardly ever in it! I wish I had more time to stay there, the room was so inviting and comfortable!!! But at a casino, who’s in their room? An absolute top notch stay all the way around. Zero complaints or suggestions!!

I was looking for a hotel with decent pricing within a nice distance from Arrowhead Stadium because I was coming to Kansas City for night 1 of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour. I've stayed at the Ameristar in St. Charles, Missouri before and thought this was a good choice. I booked in January even though the concert wasn't until the beginning of July and I'm glad I did! I got a good rate for my two night stay. It was easy to check in and out. The staff was great and it was very convenient to grab something to eat without leaving the property because there were already restaurant options there. The room was clean. Parking was easy. The facility is within 15-20 minutes for the stadium but is still located far enough out in a quieter area so that you don't have to deal with a lot of traffic. Nothing super fancy. I would stay here again.

The property was very clean, up to date and well taken care of. We enjoyed being right there basically steps from the casino. The area the casino/hotel is in seemed very sketchy. I would not feel safe walking out to my car after dark or stopping at any of the surrounding area businesses.

It was a beautiful place with a very pleasant staff and amenities. The only thing missing for a perfect score is the area around the hotel/casino. It is on a back road with very little around it. If you want dinner off property it takes a little drive.

All the restaurants in the casino were not open. One of the restaurants was in the casino and my 18 year old daughter couldn’t go in. Drinks in the casino couldn’t be free due to state law, but they weren’t even cheap.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our room was handicap accesssible, the bathroom was very accommodating thanks to grab bars, roll-in shower, plenty of room, and the room itself was very nice. Vending wasn’t very good, only one soda machine on each floor with very limited options. Wanted a Diet Dr Pepper but had to go all the way to a nearby convenience store to find one. Experienced one small problem with my room but the desk staff was very helpful and apologetic. Restaurant options aren’t very good during the week, with most in-house restaurants only open on weekends. The sports bar was open during my stay, and had very good burgers (although my bottle of beer was room temperature). Casino had a wide variety of machines and digital table games. Somewhat difficult to navigate (I didn’t see any signs pointing towards bars, restrooms).

It was a beaufiful room. Very clean! Other guest were very friendly. I have 2 complaints the young lady who checked us in was very unpleasant. Not friendly at all acted like we had been there before, didn't offer any directon on anything. The other complaint is dining. We arrived at lunch time only one cafe open, we then went to the KC Chiefs game. Came back at 11pm and again only 1 choice. Other than that was nice.
