I have stayed here in the past, but the renovations made this stay even better. Room.was clean and well stocked. The pool area is really nice and the check in and out were a breeze. I'll definitely be back!

Had a great time there. Room looks fairly newly remodeled. Beautiful bathroom. No complaints. Mexican restaurant next door was really good. A cannibis club next door and no issues with having to smell the cannibis. Nice pool and hot tub. Wish they offered towels at the pool. Other than that had a great experience and will be back.

Very enjoyable stay. I would definitely return. When you pull in, you’ll be daunted by boarded up rooms & make shift office. Spacious, remodeled, pristinely clean room. Easily sleeps 3 comfortably. Includes mini fridge, safe, coffee maker, fan, blackout curtains. No microwave though. On site is a pool, jacuzzi, a really nice home gym with the basic essentials & water purifier. Very good walkability to local stores, strip malls & convenience.

The Hotel is still going thru remodeling in the Lobby, but their Rooms are nice, spacious and has all the amenities needed to enjoy your stay. They are business friendly with electrical outlets for your computer, they have Coffee Pot and Refrigerator for you and you have room to move around. The only issue is if you are on the bottom floor, depending on who is on the top floor, you might hear some HEAVY FEET walking around.

I gave a low rating because for the price of the room I was very disappointed…… in the bathroom the floor was wet….i cleaned up but but there was water coming from under the floor….. I was beyond disgusted when I dim the lights and I was watching the roaches crawl over the countertop where all our stuff was….i don’t think this was worth the price.

The room was super spacious and the bed super comfy but the floor and towels were dirty. It was obvious the floors hadn’t been mopped in a while and the towels had stains from regular wear and tear and were not white.

There are flying insects that will get in any food you bring in or set down for even a moment. The coffee maker....forget about it. The drains smell horribly so you can't stand near them to brush you teeth or you will gag. An insect from the room bite me in my ear....I kid you not. I didn't realize it until I was driving home and my ear started bleeding. I complained to management while I was still there..they said they would take care of the room while I was out during the day but apparently did nothing. Now I've emailed them several times and sent photos and they won't answer me. I'm traumatized by my stay at Casa Via Mar

My family and I stayed here for a beach trip and to visit friends in Port Hueneme. At first, the room looked nice, but within minutes of walking around, we noticed the floors were filthy—either mopped with dirty water or not cleaned at all. My son’s feet turned black from the dirt, and I had to wash them in the sink. I spoke Spanish to a staff member who said she’d clean while we stepped out. It was somewhat better after, but we still had to wear shoes or socks the entire stay. The train that runs directly behind the hotel is extremely loud and woke us daily at 9 AM. The pool looked murky and uninviting, and my kids didn’t even want to go in. The comforter had a few stains, and there weren’t enough towels provided. I requested more, but they never came, they weren’t left. We had to use our own beach towels. On the plus side, the fridge worked well for leftovers and the room was a good size. Outside of room, the walkways and areas could use a power wash- it’s gross!!!

They lied and said there would be breakfast (on their official website) but there wasn’t any. When I complained, they said they would offer $66 in credit for two nights and it has been 2 weeks and it hasn’t come through. Also, smelled weird and was the bathroom plumbing was really bad.

The room was absolutely filthy. Spilled some water and when I went to clean it up the paper was black from the dirt on the floor. The sheets had black specks of dirt and stains on them. The towels smelled musty. Worse of all there were spiders everywhere. Killed at least three that I was quick enough to get.

Very quiet and relaxing. The room is enormous. The wifi excellent. The decorations are super sophisticated, gorgeous really: the mirror with back lighting behind it, the circular storarge rack on the bathroom wall, the frame photo of the beach on the wall.

Very comfortable beds. The AC machine could use an upgrade. That thing was loud when it would go off. The floor was dirty, like dusty. Our socks were filthy dirty. Besides those minor details the stay was great. Customer service was good, housekeeping was friendly. I will be back soon.

The hotel is perfect for beach access and not far from the downtown areas as well. The only negative thing i can say is there isnt a full size mirror (body length). Women need mirrors, just a heads up.

This was such a strange room. It was very big and very empty. No microwave or fridge. It had ugly laminate flooring. The colors were dark gray and white. It would have been fine is I had several motorcycles I wanted to park inside. Reception was perfectly nice.

The suite was exactly as it looks in the pictures; the renovations are amazing! The insides have been modernized but the outside has kept its old-time charm. The staff were awesome and very responsive to our needs. I would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my 8 day stay at this location, I do wish they had a breakfast or food option and changed the bedding more frequently if not daily but the rooms were very large and clean. The staff was great. I also think they should leave more towels in the rooms to accommodate they amount of guests but the staff was so wonderful and got us towels so quickly every time we requested no matter the time of day. I wish the weather was warmer to explore the pool! All in all I would definitely stay here again.

The room I stayed in was plain but very roomy and clean.I like the 55 in Samsung TV, and the outlets for charging mobile phones. I also like the office person, Nancy. Her customer service is excellent.

Such a cozy, clean and modern style room. The design outdoor calls you in but the inside design and comfort really prepares you for a nice relaxing day. I will definitely come back again. Check in was easy and staff was friendly.

When checking in the person who assisted me was not particularly welcoming. Did not let me know where the pool and fitness room were located. Did not apologize for the office being in a guest room while the lobby and office area were being remodeled. On the other hand the housekeeping staff were very polite and efficient. Would not have booked here if id known there was a Marijuana dispensary next door with people lining up at 8am to get in. I like this company but won't stay at this location again. Nor will I recommend it to anyone .

Fantastic location if you’re visiting someone on base! Room was spacious and perfect for me and my partner! I liked the layout and thoughtful design- efficient and purposeful. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area! We will definitely stay here again in the future.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. I fair value for a reasonable price, better than expected. I had no issues, but felt that some of the surrounding businesses were a little seedy - pot dispensaries. Having said that the nearby area seems interesting and somewhere I'd like to return to and explore.

Pool & jacuzzi were a-mazing!! There was no hotel breakfast, so that was an unexpected added expense. And one night the couple next door was having way too much fun, or at least she was! No amount of hollering from me was shutting her up, so i went out & pounded on their door & she shut up for maybe 15 min, then was at it again. Turns out, im pretty sure she was a professional, because my grandson said the guy left alone @ about 1am. So, i guess she was just good at her job. However, it was incredibly awkward being the grandma with a 13 year old boy next door. ! Point being: The walls are NOT thick enough to muffle the sound of a working girl ...uh...working. THE POOL & JACUZZi WERE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! Pool was heated to perfection & the jacuzzi was phenomenal!!! Thats what brught rhe review back up to 4stars. i -for sure- WOULD RETURN, but i would budget for breakfasts & bring earplugs

Nicely renovated older property. Very cute and convenient for my needs. The staff was great. The only downside was no restaurant/bar, but there were a few options nearby. We were on the first floor and it was a bit noisy when people checked in above us.

Upon arrival, I was given a room key, and when I open the door, the bed had not been made. It had been stripped, and the pile of bedding was on a chair. The office is currently closed and they are operating out of motel room 119 There was no signage indicating that on the office door. I reserved a king accessible room. It was very spacious. Great accessible bathroom with a roll in shower nice light up vanity mirror. It did have a refrigerator but no microwave. There’s a strip mall attached to the hotel where they offer a few dining options nearby there’s also a McDonald’s across the street, and it is a convenient location This is a great budget motel no-frills there is a pool which I did not use. I have stayed here many years ago and return to this property due to its location.
