Name: City Express by Marriott Tepotzotlán
Address: Autopista Mexico-Queretaro Km 42.5, Tepotzotlán, State of Mexico, MX
Price range: $70–$105 per night
Rating: 8.55

What guests think

At City Express by Marriott Tepotzotlán, travelers highlight a convenient highway location, generally clean, compact rooms, and friendly staff, while recurring downsides include heavy road noise, occasional booking or check-in issues, and some reports of odors or maintenance shortcomings.

It works well for overnight stops near the Tepotzotlán toll and nearby industrial parks, with ample, well-lit parking. Breakfast feedback is mixed, ranging from generous and tasty to very basic or poorly managed, sometimes with disposable plates and limited items. Rooms facing the highway get the most noise, and some report limited natural ventilation or mosquitoes. Overall, expect a practical stopover with trade-offs in noise and consistency.

Malo, malo.

Slept well with the blackout rolling shades. Comfortable beds. The bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan so leaving the door open was a must while showering. The shower curtain was too short which lead to a soaked floor every time I showered. I had to use 2 towels to soak up all the water after the shower. I had to get clean towels every day, something I absolute hate doing. Not a very eco friendly situation :( The staff was super friendly except for 2 ppl, tall young door guy and Zaira at the front desk. I had to visit the front desk about 4-5 times to reactivate my key. I had the displeasure of dealing with Zaira for this particular reason. She was extremely rude and told me the reason my key was no longer working was bc I had to pay my laundry bill. I asked her “ so what’s the excuse for having this issues 3-4 times prior to sending my my laundry out?” Needless to say, I had no response from her.

Location

Right by the Mexico-Querétaro highway and near the Tepotzotlán toll and industrial parks, making it practical for road trips and business. Downsides include heavy truck noise, tricky access and traffic, limited nearby dining or shops, and an area that can feel unsafe at night.
