What guests think

At Econo Lodge Brunswick Travel Center, travelers consistently note convenient highway access and budget rates, with opinions split between simple, satisfactory stays and experiences affected by various shortcomings, especially for overnight road trips and quick stopovers.

Many guests find rooms clean and the staff friendly or accommodating. Repeated negatives include musty odors, stained or worn carpets, occasional pests, and dated furnishings or maintenance issues. The continental breakfast is frequently described as very limited, while noise from thin walls or nearby trucks and the lack of an elevator also come up. Overall, expect a simple stopover with uneven quality.

I was unable to stay. Property manager had to cancel my reservation, because the property did not have power. The reservation was for 9/29/24. The Property Manager stated that I would receive my refund within 2-3 business days and I still haven’t received anything 10/4/24. I’m not pleased at all. Highly disappointed.

Ok for 1 night stay. Not very clean room. Found things left from previous guests in drawers, hair and dust in various places in the room. Shower fixtures all rusted and old. Door to the room barely opened and dragged hard on floor. Beds not very comfortable. One window was cracked and taped up. Sketchy people staying there and just hotel just had weird vibes. No elevator, just stairs. Thankfully, it was just one night.

We had to change rooms in the middle of the night due to the extremely bad smell coming from the AC unit. Both rooms that we stayed in had stained bed sheets. The water from the sink and bathtub had a bad smell. No elevator to access the 2nd floor.

When we first walked into our room 226 the smell of mold was so powerful we requested a change of rooms. The second room was better room 110 but later I saw the ceiling in the bathroom was covered in mold. I was traveling with my kids so we decided not to stay the next night and we weren’t given a refund for the unused night. This building is a health hazard mold is extremely toxic to your health. This hotel has a serious mold problem.

This hotel was rated very good on Hotels.com. We would only rate it good. It is located in a safe area with a nice dinner restaurant called Tabby House very close by. The breakfast area is very small and does not compare to the breakfast choices at similar hotels. The pillows in our room were not good. The room was clean but had a strange odor and was dated.

Both of our children were treated poorly as well all bc the rude lady didnt see our reservation... i wont ever stay with ecolodge again... i usually book with laquinta which is where i eneded up but after traveling so long we needed rest...in the future i will drive the extra 20 mins to Laquinta

Front desk person was not that friendly. Had a hard time finding my reservation. Did not seem concerned about the fact the coffee machine did not work. Could at least have put a sign on it. Instead folks are going up to front desk to say something and very nonchalant says “oh yeah - it’s not working”. Seems like need a more customer friendly person on the overnight shift into early morning.

The front desk workers were kind and helpful. The lobby area occasionally had a rough smell, like trash that'd been sitting in the sun. Room was as expected, tidy, no smells, working fridge. It is in a convenient location, right off of highway and interstate. There is a nearby grocery store, Waffle House, Dunkin Donuts, and Gas Station. About 30 minutes to Jekyll Island.
