We did like that the staff was mostly nice and accommodating. There was security outside the office and walking around during the night hours which was nice it made us feel safer. The bathroom had black mold and was disgusting. Our bed only had 2 paper thin pillows and the sheets on the bed had holes and yellow stains. We had to ask for more pillows and blankets. No bugs tho, despite the previous reviews. So at least there’s that. Not a convenient location if you’re interested in going to the beach everyday. But honestly for this being one of the cheapest hotels in Charleston it was not bad at all for the price. If you’re looking for a cheap motel that’s what you get here. If you’re staying more than a couple days I wouldn’t waste your money on this motel I’d get something nicer for a better deal.

If you stay few days, you need reactivate the key card daily, bed clothing not be changed, room floor dirty, people fighting or loud discussion outside the room, cats everywhere, hard smoke odor in the rooms, if the room says "fridge and microwave included" let me tell you that the microwave is not in your room, you need go to le lobby reception for use the microwave, and they just have one. Horrible experience.

For this property being aged as it is, it's probably one of the best ones I have resided in. I am in the process of moving and needed an in between spot for the next couple months. This place met my criteria, close to public transportation, restaurants, and shopping as well as the price! The staff here are very friendly and helpful! You have round the clock desk staff unlike some properties, vending machines available 24hrs a day, staffed security guard, and again very friendly staff!

Upon check in we were met with a rude desk attendant. Our rooms were not ready. One room didnt have a shower curtain, the other had no fridge or microwave and the bath mat towel had black foot prints. The property is inundated with drug deals and prostitution. The pool was chained off and a light shade of green.

There was no coffee maker in the room, the ice bucket was dirty, there was only one wash cloth, no plastic flatware, one tiny microwave for the entire hotel in the lobby, people loitering outside at night urinating in the shadows, a malfunctioning HVAC, no power outlet at the work desk, one hard wooden school chair, non-functioning light switches, peeling paint on the walls, broken plastic floorboards - not even a do not disturb sign to put on the door! Overall, the hotel was substandard, cheap, dirty, ghetto and since it was beside a major highway, it was noisy all night. The only good things were the price, location and the accommodating staff but I won't return.

I love love love the upgrade. They have made major changes. The are is quiet and the rooms are clean. The lady that checked me in was exceptional. Check in process was fast. Lots of restaurants surround the area. Shopping mall and a movie theaters Overall my family and I had a great stay. Yes we will be back 😊. I almost forgot they have a pool and laundry room for guest.

They false advise this property! The pictures on Google isnt the rooms at North Charleston Lodge !!! The room was nasty the floor had blood in it and was sticky. The air conditioner had 1/2 dust on it and the room also had bugs !!!! No microwaves in rooms only 1 in the snack area for the entire building to share and it also had bugs in it. Even though they have security gaurds people are allow to change outside where the entire building and area smelled of Marijuana..

They didn’t have no towels. The floors wasn’t clean. They had roaches had extra TV just sitting in the floor. They had old pillows no blankets will never stay there again.

I didn't end up staying here and still waiting on my refund. The room was infested with roaches. There was on only 2 pillows and a fitted sheet on the bed. Half of the lights in the room didn't work. None of the tables had been wiped off and we're sticky. There was urine in the toilet still. Besides all the roaches there was trash on the floor. The refrigerator still had food inside of it. I asked for another room, but none were available and the check in agent said that she would have given me a refund, but since I purchased it through Expedia, that all I needed to do was tell them about the issues and that they didn't have a problem with providing me with a refund. It's been over a week and I'm still waiting. Guess I'm going to have to dispute it with my bank now. I will never use a third party app to rent a room again. I guess the phrase the customer's always right no longer exists.

I changed rooms 3 times in my 13 hours there the first room had a roach infestation that wa apparently not even wort Trying to hide the sheets were biologically filthy to the point I wouldn’t disrespect fire by burning them and thee were fresh barely dried puddles of vomit The second room had no heat (23 degreees outside ) and apparently the entirety of the median male population happens to converge and socialize RIGGT IUT SIDE OUR DOOR WITH BOOMBOXES . Also politely describing length how hard they were gonna “f*ck my wife” only after they had”killed my cracker a**” When I complained to the staff they stared blankly as if they heard music in the distance

Cockroach city. At last count 37 counted. ALIVE! The dead ones were 17 that we killed on floor. Alive ones were On beds, windows, walls, everywhere. Outside area most rooms there were FILLED with out of control screaming yelling people. So scary!!

When I pulled up I already knew I messed up. Upon arriving to my room which had no towels. Filthy shower, stains on the bedding, and dead roaches on the floor I thought I’d try to tough it out. I sat at the desk chair while I finally convinced myself to get a different room. Knowing they wouldn’t refund my money I just left and went to the Best Western. Cleanest thing about the room was oddly enough the toilet. Expedia shouldn’t even advertise this property…

There were people all over the place. You could smell weed everywhere I got a smoke free room and it smelt like cigarettes bad. There was soap in the drain and hair in the tub a gob of it. There was mold in the corner of the bathroom. No blanket on the bed . No trashcan anywhere in the room. The bed was extremely hard

The door kept malfunctioning and I had to wait over an hour for maintenance to come let me in my room to only tell me that they needed to rekey my door. He then proceeded to bang on the window with a piece of 2x4 and hammer to let me in through the window.

The staff at check in and check out were nice. However, the bed only had a top sheet and the mattress looked dirty and stained.. also the door was hard to lock as it looked like it had been kicked in before and some of the lights in the room didn’t work. The gang tags on the side of the A.C. unit in the room was charming touch though.

No room to move around in the room very small walk way from in front of bed to wall to get to bathroom no chairs or table had to sit on beds no end table in between beds one bed was against the ac/heater signs of dead bugs on beds sheets were blood stained very noisey couldn't sleep from other guests being loud absolutely nothing to do in the area best part of the stay was watching the planes from the airport fly over the hotel

Fist off the room air conditioner didnt work, tv didnt work no towels or pillows on bed. Turn lights and roaches everywhere. People knocking on room door all night. Got moved to another room and same things. Reaches. This place needs to be shut down. Very unprofessional people working there.

The first room they gave me was dirty slept and not cleaned. Gave me another room couldn’t get in the door with the electronic key card clean my room once asked for fresh towels. They said they were out. The staff was horrible. The manager was OK. The whole hotel was dirty and disgusting. I will never stay there again.

The staff was above and beyond. Latisha and Shenna made the stay more comfortable. If the owners updated the bathrooms it could get 5 stars. Overall it looked dodgy as hell, but I would chance it again. It's a great place for a trucker on overnight. The grounds were clean, the property does feel inviting.

Staff was super rude, got into the room and it had dog hair and human hair on the bed, it seemed like it wasn’t even cleaned. The towles were brown they weren’t white, everyone smoking all around so smoke going through the door. Didn’t even stay the night and they refused to give me my money back. Ended up booking about her hotel somewhere else.

I checked in, ran to Walmart and checked out as soon as I got back. The place was filthy, staff was unprofessional, and all kinds of people hanging outside smoking weed. I ended up not even staying there and went across the street to the Hampton Inn. I tried to request a refund but this site says the room was a non-refundable room.

The front desk staff is always great. Every time I come I never have a problem. They always have my stuff together. I just wish the rooms would be done better sometimes there’s no remote in the rooms and if there is, there’s no batteries and sometimes there’s no comforter on the bed and you’re sleeping With just sheets only. But I always stay there for the staff. They’re excellent!

The first room they put me in smelled heavily burnt marijuana, despite it being a not smoking room. Second room was better. Appliances were working. The surrounding area is definitely not safe, especially for children. I recommend putting extra money aside to stay in more of safer area.

Honestly ya get what your pay for, I stay here often cause it’s cheap and in a central location. Rooms can very I’ve stayed in some that are pretty “clean” and some that were less clean. People live there and they hang out outside at all hours. This is a “I need to sleep somewhere tonight and only have 75$” kinda place. Def not a family vacation or business trip kinda stay lol.

The front desk was very polite and professional. Other than that, the property is dirty. Room said no smoking but Stunk of cigarettes. The window was broken. The microwave didn’t work. Everything in the room was just wore out and tired. You could tell that a lot of people lived there at the hotel full time. Only positive I can think of was that the room was cheap. The next closest hotel in price that would have been significantly better would have been another $50 per night. So it is what it is. Just putting it out there that it’s cheap for a reason.

We had an awful stay at this hotel. The bathroom only had one roll of toilet paper sitting on the counter, no holder just a single roll. Toilet was too short and hard to actually sit on. Door security lock was was broken and not usable. No coffee in the room or even in the lobby. Staff were very rude and unfriendly. I will never stay at this hotel again and would never recommend anyone else to stay there.
