When I first got there I walked into a dusty lobby that was under construction ( floors being redone in the middle of the day) Almost tripped over a piece of plywood that was laying right in the walkway. The next morning we got to eat breakfast the breakfast was closed down due to construction. They were out of “breakfast grab bags” by 9:00am. Even the only ice machine on property didn’t work. At least the room was clean. I was uninformed about the lobby reconstruction and the absence of breakfast when I booked the hotel through Expedia. Very disappointed with my stay at Days Inn.

no elevators, and the ac unit is so so loud it’s a repetitive noise it pushs out constantly it’s so annoying. Not sure if i will even get good sleep with how annoyingly loud it is.

Check-in was straightforward and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and had all i needed, including a mini fridge, microwave and hair dryer. Breakfast options were limited but the fitness room was nice.

It is affordable and in a great location near lots of stores, restaurants, etc but it is run down and the gym that is advertised is not much more than a treadmill and two stationary bikes.

This was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed. There was something splashed up on the ceiling and I don't even want to know what it was. The floors were so nasty that we didn't even want to take our shoes off to step on them. There were dirty Q tips on the floor. We slept with our clothes and shoes on and on top of a quilt we brought with us on the trip. The bed was so bad that the next morning I could hardly walk because the bed caused my sciatica to act up. We did not even take a shower. The only thing I could say was that we did enjoy our breakfast after which, we promptly left we left. The parking lot was full of trash everywhere. When we were going into our room we had the duck under the stairway while the maids threw dirty mop water over the railing. It was a terrible experience! We would never recommend it to anyone or stay there again.

The floors were dirty. Dust everywhere. Flys everywhere (not that they can help that). The curtains, pillow cases and sheets had stains. Condoms outside. However, the staff was friendly. If you’re looking for something cheap and don’t necessarily care about the cleanliness, it’s all good. Just not a right fort for my family.

Curtains, chair and ottoman filthy, cigarette hole in bed cover, 1 bath towel, floor dirty, lock on entrance door broke off, spark from behind wall plate when I used plug in. IF I WAS EXPEDIA I WOULD DROP THIS HOTEL FROM THE LIST THEY BOOK FOR.

So the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room. lol. It was bad. Very bad torn curtains, broken security lock, dead bugs, no hot water or water pressure, dirty floors, broken fridge and we paid 95 a night for this. I called to leave and we were stuck for one night as per policy and we got the next night refunded. Now, my wife and I are from humble roots so we just stayed but it was not pleasant

If you are on the Sam's Club side of the hotel, they unload the trucks all night which is very noisy. The second time I stayed on the other side and it was fine. The staff was wonderful catering to my needs and recommending places to eat. I would stay there for sure if I go through Birmingham again.

The room and surrounding area was clean and nice looking. The staff was friendly. My only 2 complaints would be the bed is old and very worn. Springs squeak with slightest movement. Water pressure was very low to.

Front Desk was so friendly! Ms Shawn and I believe the owner were so nice! We loved our stay and will be back again. We were nervous about staying due to other review comments we had read but I will tell you this was a great hotel and we enjoyed our stay. All kinds of shopping around it and good places to eat.

The worst stay ever. The attendant at the desk charged my card 4 times. She couldn’t figure out how to refund me & correctly charge me. She called the manager & he cursed her out. Then when I went to check out another customer was having the same issue of being charged multiple times. Upon checking out I checked my account to see if I was refunded the multiple charges from the day before and I was charged again. I would never, ever recommend this hotel if using your credit or debit card. Pay in cash & use a prepaid card to hold the room for the reservation. The staff is very incompetent‼️‼️

I had an issue in the beginning where people moved into the room next to me and they sounded like they were throwing a party - loud music, yelling at each other, and no respect for other people around them. This was addressed with the front desk who moved me to another room on the other side of the building. And for that, I am rating this a Good stay because the issue wasn't a hotel/staff issue, it was the people who have no respect for others issue. Bed was comfy and I slept 14+ hours after a long travel day. I loved that there were restaurants around that you could walk to and easy access to the interstate. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe here. I would stay here again.

Well-priced & most of the staff were friendly & accommodating. A few issues - The 1st room I was assigned had a broken safety lock. Same w/the 2nd room. The 3rd was a charm! Each time, I walked to the room & went back to the f/desk to request another room. When I suggested they put the rooms out of service, so they could be fixed, the mgr. said they would not bother doing that, they were not going to fix the broken safety locks. The place was safe. The f/o mgr. loudly announced my room number while he was also checking in another male guest despite me being a single female checking in after 8 p. When I indicated that I was uncomfortable w/this situation he said there was nothing to worry about. The manager also did not update my new room number in the system, & the next day, another guest was assigned the 3rd room I was in, and he was given keys to the room. Fortunately, one of the conscientious afternoon shift staff realized this when I returned to my room in the evening & went to the lobby to get a coffee. She must have been watching me on the camera as I left the lobby & kindly followed up to identify which room I was in. She made new keys, brought them to my room while explaining the situation. The bathroom & linen were v. clean. The textured tile floor was so dirty that the soles of my inside house slippers left footprint marks on the bath towel & a couple of wet paper napkin. I would NEVER get into bed after walking barefoot on those floors. Gd b/fast & 24/7 coffee.

I came to this hotel based on an emergency and Myles, Sonny, Kimberly and many other staff were absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I CANT THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING HOSPITALITY AND I WOULD ALWAYS RECOMMEND THIS DAYS INN HOOVER ALA TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND ASSOCIATES!!!! Myles did the great job checking us in. This is a motel so face the outside. The rooms are simple, but incredibly clean. There’s a big refrigerator and a microwave, bath is generous. Breakfast offers, homemade waffles, fresh fruit, fruit, juices, milk, cereal, variety of breads for toasting, and pastries. I cannot imagine why anyone would not love this breakfast. Of course there’s coffee and tea as well. The icemaker is in the lobby. There is a Panera that is open for breakfast and all day on the parking lot of the motel, one minute walk. The location is amazing as the embassy suites is right down the street at triple the price. There is a huge Mallregional mall right across the street. I give this hotel 5 stars for value and staff.

Motel was conveniently located near the interstate and Costco. Neighborhood was nice and felt safe. This is an older motel, but it looked well cared after. Lots of food choices for breakfast, and they even gave my DH a bag of spicy chips, as well as Sunny D in the fridge. No complaints for our one night stop.

Deodorizer used in the room very strong. Refrigerator made loud noise. They changed our room due to the refrigerator noise. Breakfast buffet very sparse, only hot food was a belgian waffle. Noticed staff member eating pancakes and sausage when we walked in but we were informed there was no hot food other than the waffle. Milk from a pitcher, not individual cartons.

I believe the overall score of this Hotel is not correct. It should be higher. Everything I read that was negative I never witnessed. I am glad I took the chance on this one. Def worth the price. EVERYONE was so nice and helpful. Front desk clerk this morning even helped my 8 year old carry her bowl of cereal at breakfast to the table just because. The bed was as comfy to me. I like mine a little more stiff, but still has some cushion. I never had issues with my heat and air unit. The ice machine was fixed. Breakfast had cereal, fruit, waffles, oatmeal, grits, coffee, milk, orange juice, sunny D, toast, cinnamon rolls, and more. It wasn’t loud outside our room at all at night. I asked the front desk about all the issues that was posted in the ratings. They explained when negative issues arise they immediately start working to fix them. Some issues take longer than others. I must say I believe everything spoken about has been fixed bc we had a very good experience!

The staff were friendly at check in and check out, the room was clean, the air/heat worked, and the waffle maker was appreciated. We got new towels when we needed them and I liked the room did not have carpet.
