The pictures are obviously taken a long time ago first day there I cut my foot in the pool. Beware it’s like sandpaper you won’t notice because it’s just below the water level. I tried to swim lap, but that was all I could do not much response from the hotel they said they might fix it when they remodel, I wasn’t able to use the pool days later. It looks like my foot is infected. I thought the hotel was gonna be a lot more fun. The gym was OK. It’s not bad but it’s dated the thing with the pool is just unacceptable to me and very unsafe.

We had stayed here a few years ago when the property was newer and it was excellent. We stayed again in July but it had changed for the worse. The room had broken blinds, no remote to adjust a/c, and the pool gets used for kids swim lessons so hotel guests are not allowed during those times. No mention to us at check in even though I asked the pool hours.

The stay was good. The room and surroundings was exceptional clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. parking was good. The location for us was ideal. A few things in my opinion that was lacking for me, which I overlook when booking, is there was no in room microwave, but there was one in the lobby. Breakfast was not included, and have been spoiled in booking in other hotels that it was included. :( The closet space was very narrow with only (2) hangers and no drawers to place clothes, for extended stay. We stayed for 3 nights. I guess if you are not planning to stay for long and it's a quick trip/overnight, it's great. But otherwise it's good to stay. Oh, another thing I had liked when I initially booked it, was they had a pool and billiards table :) however the pool was out of service and they gave us the option to walk across to the next door hotel to use their pool. as much as it was not far, just steps away and the weather was good, I just didn't feel that I had to walk out of the building and walk over to use the pool... but that's just me though. Just little inconvenience.

There was lotion or some other similar substance all over the carpet when we arrived. I was too tired to complain as check in took forever due to it apparently being difficult to use cash (even if you check that option online when booking) it may be something small to the leadership at this hotel, but to those trying to get away or have a relaxing weekend this is appalling, offensive and disgusting. who knows what it is, and how can you miss this when cleaning rooms?? Guests such as myself pay a high price for a stay, and this just left me with nothing but regret about choosing this property. $374 for two night din a room with a questionable substance all over the carpet. Disgusting lack of effort to care for guests.

My stay at this location was horrible. The room (room 314) we stayed in was infested with ants and I only realized when I wokeup the next morning to find my purse and other items located by the window infested with large ants. I was completely grossed out and literally threw a way my bag and other contents. Also, no response when I called the front desk multiple times. I had to literally go downstairs and wait on a line to have my issues addressed. No working iron and rude staff during breakfast. Definitely not staying here again. Horrible! Horrible! Folks find another hotel!

The live music in the lobby on Saturday night was a nice touch. It was over-amplified, however. No need to crank it up so much in that small, intimate space. Room 104, which I had this time was good as usual. Very few complaints other than one reading light over the bed is not working, the conditioner in the shower had very little left and one modest use of it had it totally empty. Had it been more important, I would have asked for more, but that sort of attention to detail could maybe be imparted to the room cleaning staff. Overall, this hotel and its sister, Element across the way are my first choice stays when visiting the Boston area. Lexington is an outstanding place and removed from the hustle, bustle and stress of the inner city and downtown. Not having to deal with the Expressway is a plus! Far better than the competition out in Waltham, Woburn, etc. where stay when the rates at your properties are too high for my budget. Thanks!

I know some folks like the “simple” look. But the room was so sparsely decorated, it felt almost like sleeping in a jail cell ( not that I ever have-but it’s what I would imagine). No lamp on the desk. All furnishings except the one chair, built in to the wall. No door on the bathroom. Everything worked well, but not much to look at. Not even plastic liners in the trash cans. Also, my husband felt put out that they knocked on the door in the morning while we were still in the room. He thought they should notify staff when folks check out, not have them knock on the door. These things seem small, and I hardly ever mention anything negative, but someone told me recently that it’s always good to say something so that improvements can be made. Or, in the case of the “simplified” appearance, it might be that some folks just don’t care for that type of setting and would book elsewhere. Thanks for checking and giving folks the opportunity to respond.

Upon entering the room, you notice immediately that there is not a door on the sink area. The toilet and shower (which leaked under the door) were self-contained so if you wanted privacy while dressing this where you went. One hook in that area with no place to hang a towel close enough to shower. Consequently, while soaking wet you had to exit the shower to grab the towel. The refrigerator was kept on a rickety wooden contraption under the sink. When you pulled it out, it teetered and did not stay secure. Unfortunately, there were no bedside lamps which made reading difficult in low light. Except for an office, armless chair, there were no place to watch TV except while sitting on the bed. No dresser to place clothes. The bathroom had some shelves with a few hangers, but it was not the same as having a closet space. Will not be back.

A front desk worker was rude and not accommodating when I informed him that there was not a iron nor ironbound in my room. He insisted that there was, then told me to come down to the desk and he would give me a iron and use the desk as a ironboard.

We had two full days in the hotel with a broken toilet. Twice the staff tried unsuccessfully to fix it with a plunger. We left for 12 hours and the staff promised it would be fixed when we returned. Nobody ever came to fix the toilet during that time and we came back to a still-broken toilet The hotel was full so they couldn't move us to another room. Upon checkout we were charged the full amount. It took multiple messages and phone calls before anybody finally apologized and gave us a partial refund.

Checked in to my room at 3:30 hung out left for a concert. When I came back they had given someone else the room I was in. They fixed the problem and put me in a different room. Just never had that happen before. Would give them a second chance though because the staff members that didn’t cause the problem were very polite and handled the problem quickly.

We booked this place since every hotel in the center of Boston were booked or really too expensive and it was perfect! Only a 20 mins drive to go to the center of Boston and really cozy. We ran to the Lexington park which is super close to the hotel so that was definitely a plus for us! Also the place was perfect for the price, would definitely book again.

I had a pleasant experience. Even though the hotel seems like it is located in the middle of a giant highway cloverleaf, it is heavily wooded and quiet around the hotel. Not recommended for people who like to walk.

We took the T into Boston for a show and didn’t want to drive all the way back home after. This location is perfect if you’re traveling by train to Boston… a hop, skip and jump from the Alewife station. Comfortable and quiet, breakfast option included and easy highway access got us back on our way home.

We enjoyed our stay, particularly pleased that when we requested a quiet room with a view other than the parking lot, the young man on evenings mugshot did so, sending us to room 318. Perfect. We enjoyed the room design and colors. Our surprise was at the food selections in the lobby, no healthy “snacks” even the yogurt was sweet. I’d suggest a “ plain” unflavored option. At least there was fresh fruit available.

Overall the hotel was ok. If you are just looking for a place to stay the night, its just that. There is absolutely no restaurant on site as advertised. The only food available is frozen microwaved food offered at the bar. The breakfast is truly no more than an average continetal breakfast in which you are charged inflated proces for each item. I will say that the room was pretty clean, and was fairly comfortable. Seemed slightly dated but ok overall. The in room fridge worked great, most hotels the fridge barely keeps things cool, this one worked really great. The shower products were decent as well, and the beat part of the room and hotel was the shower.
