What guests think

At Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Rossford - Toledo South, travelers praise the friendly staff, convenient highway location, and the indoor pool and hot tub, while noting dated rooms, intermittent noise from the interstate, and mixed housekeeping standards.

Cleanliness feedback ranges from spotless rooms to complaints about musty or chemical odors, dampness, mold in bathrooms, and a few reports of pests. The free hot breakfast is convenient and often liked, but quality and replenishment vary; the pool and hot tub are popular yet can be crowded, occasionally dirty, or short on towels. Rooms are generally spacious but dated, with maintenance quirks, mixed bed comfort, and Wi‑Fi that can be unreliable when the hotel is busy. Overall, expect a budget-friendly, highway stopover with warm service and trade-offs.

The front desk staff was wonderful. I draw a blank on names but it was 2 super kind women. We have stayed in the area multiple times and never have been treated with such kindness, accommodation coming from a hotel staff. They’re usually rude. They noticed that me and my in laws were together, and put us next to each other. The hotel was clean, convenient and great area for breakfast. Love the pool is open late.

Super friendly staff that went above and beyond, hotel is very clean and the pool and hot tub were clean and nice. There is adult pool hours 10pm-12am but both nights we were there, the adults that went in there didn’t know how to act in public to say it nicely and also had alcohol in the pool area

The hotel was dated with worn furnishings. TV was small. There were minimal accessible outlets; this was especially an issue charging devices next to the bed. The shower head was dirty and the water pressure was low. The tub had clear caulk covering mold or mildew. Breakfast was not worth mentioning. We’ll just say the store bought bagels they had were better than the cooked sausage and eggs. The fitness room was tiny and there were no towels stocked, not even paper towels. I didn’t have any specific problems; I just expected better. Parking was convenient and the attendant when we checked in was pleasant.

The staff is very nice as are the pool and hot tub. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. My main complaint was that the rooms smelled weird - mildewy with an undertone of cigarette smoke maybe. It’s an old facility so maybe smoking was allowed years ago?

Ok hotel, but needs better housekeeping. One of the drawers had clothing in it from previous person. The room had a musty smell, fixtures were rusted. The shower curtain smelled bad. The worse part was waking up to rashes and bites, we thought mosquito but no, upon inspection we found BEDBUGS!!!!! this was right before we had to check out. I immediately complained to front desk and she seemed shocked, but I know it was just a show because I then went to read google reviews. Highly disappointed because the rest of our Toledo experience was amazing.

The hotel was ok, but our room definitely was not cleaned thoroughly. The ice bucket was visibly dirty and my toddler found an acrylic nail on the floor. Random mystery stains on the furniture and black junk around the caulk in the bathtub. Everything else was fine it just felt kinda dirty.

We found roaches in our room, a housekeeper tried to walk in without announcing herself even tho we had the do not disturb sign up. Then when we were going to check out, a housekeeper immediately rushed into our room before we were checked out and ready to be done in the room. The front desk staff was friendly but I got super bad vibes from the housekeeping staff.

The room was clean but the smell of bleach was overpowering. There was also a smell in the bathroom that was unpleasant as if their cleaning supplies were not clean. I could not get rid of tho smell for the 2 days I stayed there. I did contact the front desk and they said it was because they did a deep clean which is good but it was too over powering and not welcoming. I did go to the store and purchased air fresheners to try to mask the smell but it did not go away. Otherwise the room was fine.

It was clean but inside my room the floor was like wet almost like damp. And when laying down there was ants on the walls. If you like soft comfortable beds than this was the opposite. Bed felt like I was laying on a box spring. Also no curtains so street light and people walking by the windows all night. Also asked for a wake up call and never recieved it. Luckily with the lack of sleep i got up in time. Went up to the front desk to see if they were busy since i didnt get a wake up call.... nope lady watching a movie on her phone and eating her snacks. Just really disappointed in my stay. Also took 17 mins for just warm water to come out of the shower head for a shower.

The staff was very nice and that was the only thing good about this location. The hotel was a very dirty. They need to do a deep cleaning. All the baseboard edges is the room were gross looking all around the room and in the bathroom. It looked like it had not been cleaned in years. The elevator floor was gross and had build up all around the edges as well. Gross!!!

I arrived on Friday and checked out on Sunday. Overall the hotel was very clean and very friendly staff. Having said that though I might have to think more about returning. The Wifi was "iffy" at best. I thought it had to do with me being at the very end of the hallway. That I found was not it. Morning worked well BUT when hotel began to fill and folks on the Wifi you got nothing infact it keep dropping you off the connection. If you are a business person as I am I need the internet o complete my work and I can not have at best an "iffy" service. They need to get it checked/ fixed and I guess upgraded to a reliable provider for the one they have now is not condusive to have workers stay if they need the internet.

The property was just average. Had a scent of curry to me, the rooms are average, the bed was uncomfortable for me, the only coffee in the room was decaf, the receptionist was unfamiliar with the area and unable to provide us any information on location of grocery stores or restaurants. Would I recommend it? Only if you got an amazing deal on it, I'm sure for that price point you could find something better.

Room was a decent size and staff was nice. Breakfast was just OK. Was expecting a better room. Most likely will not be back.

Its average for the type of hotel. Service could have been more thorough and nicer, (we stayed two days, and they only keyed my card for one so when we tried to get into our third-floor room, we had to go back downstairs and get a new card. The lady at initial check in was not the friendliest, you could tell she didn't want to deal with us), there was a weird sticky substance in the elevator, and it smelled so bad when we were leaving but they were trying to clean it up. Breakfast was okay. So overall just average. We got a deal for this hotel so I'd want another deal to stay again.

Checked in later afternoon and noticed the AC unit did not work in our hotel room or seemed it was turned off for awhile. We turned down the temperature before leaving for our event (we were only briefly at the hotel) and when we returned, the ac was still not working. We went to the front desk to ask to switch rooms but they did not have any other rooms unfortunately. The over-night receptionist was seemed under the influence and didn’t for some reason understand we did not have working ac. We were provided a fan after asking if they had one and thankfully they did but it was a very dusty desk fan and did not provide enough air circulation. The hotel otherwise was very clean and quiet. But I was very disappointed with how the non-working ac in our room was handled by the staff, as it clearly had not been working for awhile, and not fixed or disclosed before checking into the room.

Overall the stay was fine. Spent most of the days away from the hotel. Staff was good the few times I interacted with them. Room was as expected but would have been nice to have an extra chair to sit and relax in. Good location near shopping and food options. My only gripe is the “breakfast.” Since we were going to be gone all day we hoped breakfast would be the one meal we wouldn’t need to eat out. Unfortunately this was not the case. The options were very limited. The hot options were almost inedible. The “eggs” were something that resembled eggs. One morning the waffle batter was super thin and unusable. Staff was good the few times I interacted with them. Room was as expected but would have been nice to have an extra chair to sit and relax in.
