Room was not the cleanest, but wasnt so gross that i wanted to leave. sauna was not working and they had issues with the hot tub bit then it started qorking and they saod we could use it but never took down the out of order tape. Then when we went to leave one of the housekeepers was yelling at another one and she was loud. Was not impressed. Had a nice family trip to the falls.

Enjoyed this hotel. It is in the middle of no where. Hot tub and pool was great. Air conditioning was a little noisy. I struggled to sleep because of it. The website said it had laundry available to guest but then it’s been broken, so we couldn’t use it. Breakfast was nice.

Hotel is ok. Expected something a little nicer at this price point as the hotel is very dated. They have issues with their key system. My key card stopped working multiple times, requiring a walk back to the front desk. It was extremely frustrating bc they know about the problem. The hot tub and pool are nice. Continental breakfast ok.

Sauna did not work Doors 1 and 2 did not close/lock from the out side. I don’t live in the UP and I know that things are different but security should still a number one priority. Pool/hot tub was taken over by a child’s birthday party by mostly non guests. Kids in the hot tub with beverages. Food also. Not pleasant for other paying guests Reading Lights and dome light did not work in our room. (218) Reported to desk. No action Place is dated but clean Staff tries very hard to accommodate and were very polite.

Quite outdated in furnishings. The pool deck had black mold in places. One entrance door wouldn’t close. Ice machine broken. Pillows were awful. Staff was nice. Not worth the amount we paid

For a hotel that is down the street from a prison, you would think that locked windows and key entry exterior doors would be a thing. The hallways reek of cigarette smoke, the room gave me an instant headache from the mildew/mold, the bathroom is moldy, the shower leaks and water pressure is awful, the room is like something out of the 80s, and not all the lights work. I have to be here in the morning and everything else is sold out otherwise I would leave.

Cat urine smell in hallway! Carpet needs to be removed and replaced with washable flooring if pets are allowed. Limited seating for breakfast, coffee was empty 2 of our 3 mornings. No ice any time I tried.

The hotel was not our first choice. Not many options for last minute plans. The hotel had a musty smell, the bathroom door didn't shut or lock, and there was hair in bath tub. The light over the sink didn't work. The seating area for breakfast had several benches that were not safe to sit on. Very limited space to eat. I will pass on staying there again. The prices for the night was way over priced.

The property was just okay. Kept having to reset the Direct TV and didn’t use the air conditioning as it looked like there was mold growing in the room air conditioner. Carpet was not vacuumed in the room and there were several strands of dark hair on the shower walls. Curtains let the light in from the parking lot light poles (having a dark room is a personal preference of mine and I realize that.)

Bedding was stained. Shower/tub spout was loose when you switched to shower mode. Lampshades & curtains were torn. Mattress was pulled away from headboard and I could see lots of hair down there. I would not recommend

When we checked into our room, the garbage cans were still full of garbage. When we got into bed, the sheets were full of sand, and what appeared to be dog hairs. While the bed was made, it did not seem that they changed the sheets. We had to get new sheets and change them ourselves. The staff seemed nice but the place was understaffed and the front desk staff were overwhelmed.

This property is very poorly maintained inside and out. The room was filthy as were the hallways and lobby area. Staff could care less and nothing worked correctly. No ice, no washer and dryer, etc.

It was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and I have stayed in a lot of hotels. The bed must have been very old because my wife and I sunk into the middle together and my back hurt when I woke up in the morning. Customer service was nice and pleasant and the hotel itself was fine, but they really need to invest in new beds.

It was ok. Our room had many outlets that did not work, which was frustrating for charging and taking care of things. The breakfast is mediocre - if you like cereal or pastries you’re set, but nothing super healthy. Pool was decent, which was the only reason I booked this hotel.

The room was clean, but toilet needed to be recleaned. The bathroom fan needed to be replaced due to excessive noise. Breakfast is included but very limited compared to other motels. The area around the motel has high traffic volume, and the people above us had kids running (or maybe a dog) running around fairly late. We also had the misfortune of being in room 101, which is right next to the lobby, so there was a lot of talking and foot traffic up until about midnight. The only real advantage is that it’s fairly close to Tahquamenon Falls State Park.

We tried to check-in around 7 pm but our room wasn’t ready until almost 9 pm. I understood that they were understaffed from housekeeping with some quitting. They couldn’t credit my acct because I pre paid so they offered lunch the next day in town but we were leaving the area. We didn’t eat the breakfast it looked liked it was warmed up food so we just left. The pool had to much chlorine in it plus the kids were jumping in at all sides of the pool and splashing so we just went upstairs to our room. I was really disappointed in this hotel stay especially for spending close to $180 for the night.

Staff couldn't find our booking as someone else had messed things up in their computer system. We ended up with a queen handicapped accessible room and paid more than what was on our itinerary (which I showed proof of via email) for a king room with a jacuzzi tub. We travel to that area several times a year & booked here specifically for the room & area. We won't be staying again.

The check in was horrible. The room keys just worked once so every time we re-entered the room had to ask for new keys. The breakfast was a joke. Few items and a lot of empty containers (it was before 8am). The lady at the desk this morning was rid and clearly demonstrated she did not want to be there. Dark green carpet long due for cleaning was the cherry on the cake. Bad experience.

It was quiet and the bed was comfortable I arrived early and asked if I could check in early The front desk woman was rude She said no My room wasn't ready I tried asking her another question but she became more rude I waited in the lobby area for my room I was tired from traveling She talked loudly to the housekeeping manager about the other staff Which rooms to clean She told the staff the second floor rooms needed cleaning About 45 minutes later she let me and another guest check in She gave me a first floor room but it was the farthest one from the front All the way around back of the building Other problems The refrigerator didn't work and I travel with food She said she would have it looked at but never did I had her put my food in the fridge up front This was the first hotel in over 20 years of traveling in different states that I wasn't able to check in early The front desk woman needs to be trained more on customer service

Check in is at 3:00 and they didn’t have a room ready until 5:30! After driving 5 hours we were asked to leave and come back to see if they had a room in about an hour and they still didn’t! Unacceptable! Not sure what the issue was and we understand that things happen, but we weren’t even given a credit for the time we couldn’t have a room and the general manager refuses to return our calls. Highly unprofessional! In addition, the room was extremely run down and shabby.

When we got there to check in at 5pm our room still wasn't available which should have been available at 3pm. We finally got into our room at 6:30pm. Then my boys went swimming and asked for towels and were told they were all dirty so they had walk to our room soaked. When we left for a excursion on our 3rd day there we put the sign on our door for the room to be tidied up. Well we were gone for 8 hours and when we came back they hadn't done anything so we called down to the front desk to at least get towels and garbage bags so we could empty the garbage. Instead of them bringing us those items they told us to come and get the stuff. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all!

Check in was at 3:00. We arrived at 3:40 to find that our room was not ready. The woman at the reception desk was Rude and defensive as if it was our fault. We ended up taking a lesser room to accommodate their schedule. No apology was offered for our inconvenience.

The property was ok and clean. One staff member was rude and not accommodating. The worker tried to charge us for having two kids in the room. Which kids are free. She also would not accommodate us by bringing us extra pillows into the room. However, another staff member was excellent, we left our wallet in the room, and she found it and held it for us at the front desk, she also removed the charge.

This was good for the money. It was a bit noisy. The one side door did not lock, so anyone could have walked into the hotel through there; that was a bit unsettling. The front desk staff were very nice. I liked that they had coffee, tea and cocoa available as well as pop and water for sale. It was a convenient location for our trip from Ste. St. Marie down to lower Michigan.

Everything about the hotel was very good, except for one thing. The breakfast was very very poor! They really cheap out on it, no eggs, no meat, just carbs, cereal, etc. Stay at the hotel but go out for breakfast.
