Quality Inn & Suites Salisbury South

Front desk warned me that our room (the only room available) was near an exit & that other ppl have complained about the exit door being loud. We’re heavy sleepers so I thought it might not be too bad but the exit door has a mechanism that causes the door to slow just before closing & suddenly releases the door so it slams so hard & loud that our room shook. The hotel was very clean, the staff was nice & it was located conveniently for why we’re there. One of many reasons I chose this hotel was bc we wanted to go swimming while there. When we went to the pool the gate was locked & there was no sign explaining why. At the front desk we were told the pool was closed for the season. It was 90 degrees & sunny that day so we were a little frustrated. We still tried to make the best of our time there. The bed was nice, the water pressure was great & the breakfast was ok. I know a lot of other ppl might have had a much different response to the 2 issues we encountered but we tried to not let it ruin our weekend. We won’t be booking this hotel the next time we visit the area again though.

Toilet was not connected to the floor. So it was tricky to sit on. There is a hole in the fiberglass tub. Pool was closed and I'm disrepair.

Overall, very small and limited space in parking lot in a slightly sketchy location. The outside of the building was dirty and somewhat run down. Looks NOTHING like the photos online. They claim to be non smoking however we smelled multiple types of smoke smells in the lobby and hallways. The elevator was the worst part… had to hold our breath each time we got in. Once in our room we noticed the eye hole was covered with a tissue (room clearly not cleaned) and someone broke off a prong in the electrical outlet near the bed. Tv stand was broken and multiple holes and stains on walls. Our sheets and bedding seemed to be cleaned, however the wall and headrest behind it was not. I think the only nice thing to say about this place was the room service lady who came by each day. We will not be booking again.

We had a good room, decent breakfast, and a good location for a decent price. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool

Great staff. Parking is very tight.

Beds were comfy. Shower was good with instant hot water. Carpet in rooms were dirty old needs replaced. Spider webs in corners by ceiling. Not a bad place to stay for a day. Pool was green and not available.

The only thing I did not like was that the hotel has provided the pool service on the web, but at the time of accommodation they told me that the pool was closed for no reason.

The pool wasn't operational and no accommodations were made. Allowed early check-in, customer service was ok, but not professional at all. Sitting around on their phones. Housekeeping was amazing help.

Parking lot needs attention (pot holes).

There was a little bit of confusion getting us checked in, but the staff took care of it. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very large and comfortable. The hotel is well-maintained and very clean.

Black mold in bathroom paint peeling from ceiling windows filthy, pillows smell and unwashed

Bathroom ceiling had black mold,ceiling in entrance area peeling from ceiling, Windows were filthy and streaked, apparently the pillows had never been cleaned smelled of perspiration. The only reason we stayed in this was to attend my brother’s funeral, this was my first bad stay while traveling using Expedia strongly discourage anyone staying here

Room was dark. Carpet wet from air conditioner. Did not feel clean

The AC was noisy. All of the doors into the room slam shut awakening guests in the morning and evening. Walls and doors are thin. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and vent. The bathroom itself was very clean as was the room. Excellent housekeeping. Tracy, who handles breakfast was a delight and very helpful to those who do not get around well. With a little renovation to the doors, the stay would be much better.

Small beds, floors were filthy. Building smells like cigarettes and needs some updating. Very our for us as we had room next to road, thin walls. Staff was very nice.

One of the filthiest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. From the cob webs over the bed to the bloody snot on the wall to the black mold in the bathroom, this place is dreadful.

Hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Employees were kind.

The bedsheets were worn, so much so that they had hair stuck to them even though they were “clean”.

Room was clean, staff was courteous, breakfast was pretty solid. Didn't visit the second floor to confirm if there's one there, but there was an ice maker on the first and third, which was nice. Excellent value for the cost.

I read dozens of reviews of other hotels prior to picking this one and wasn't disappointed. The staff were friendly, the beds were very comfy, water in the shower stayed hot, and the A/C kept the room very cool.

The room was very large and spacious; we had plenty of room. The shower had a constant drip that we could not figure out how to stop. Otherwise our stay was pretty good.

This rating would have been a 5 if I hadn't been awaken every time someone opened the side exterior door. I could hear and feel the door slamming. Avoid room 101.

Just a little noisy per the location

The accessible room would have worked better if it had a walk in shower not a tub. With a hand held shower head and a seat. Many handicapped people who use a wheelchair can not lift their leg over a tub.and need a shower seat because they can’t stand up for any length of time.

Head's up - don't stay in room 101 if you can help it. It's on the ground floor, right around the corner from the elevator. It's the only room there and there's a door to the outside that is very loud when anyone opens or closes it. In addition, the smoking area seems to be right outside that door so you can hear any talk or conversations going on when someone steps out to smoke. Unfortunately, I think this room is wheelchair-friendly—I hope it's not the only accessible option. Other than that I do plan to stay here again.

Water pressure for shower was very weak and water was warm, not hot. Breakfast was available but not that appealing. Could hear traffic outside occasionally and the alarm from the next room woke me up before them as it went off for 4-5 minutes.

Comfortable

We had a terrible experience with the lady behind the counter. Brittany was behind the counter and she was arguing with a person about there license plate number telling him he doesn’t need to write it down but she told him this a couple times in a rude manner. He barely spoke English. We got to our room and we had no hot water so she did give us another room but the next room was dirty and moldy when we called to complain she said what do I look like a plumber. Very rude and disrespectful. We will not stay here again. Brittany needs to be replaced

There was no one at the front desk for 6-8 minutes when I arrived.

The staff here were so helpful and friendly. We really appreciate their willingness to help make our stay as good as possible.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and the entire building and elevator smelled very fresh. No stale orders or body sweat from workers staying at hotel. Breakfast was very good lots of options and Breakfast lady was lovely and helpful. Very nice stay

I arrived early and walked into the hotel. Stood there for 10-15 minutes an no one there. Front desk person walked in from outside. Then she advised I had to come back in an hour. I returned in 2 hours and as I walked in the door I seen the front desk person sitting in a car . She got out and followed me in. Then she had to leave the front desk for something while checking me in and when she came back another employee showed her where the paperwork was located.

Most of the staff was rude

The cleaning staff was nice but front desk personnel was horrible. Plumbing issue occurred brought a plunger and said fix it yourself. Didn't work and got yelled at for not clearing and returning the plunger.

The property needs to review it’s booking and incidental fee policies. The current policies are toward locals (within a 50 mile radius) are extreme and inconvenient. Staff should be required to stay on property and not hang out at the gas station adjacent to the property.

Very nice hotel in great part of Salisbury. Convenient to shopping and major restaurant chains, several wonderful locally owned friendly courteous staff. Will highly recommend

The property was nice and clean and close to a lot of things. We could walk across the parking area and down the steps to get to a nice restaurant for a bite to eat. That was a plus.

The room itself was nice enough for the price. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. The bathroom is very tight even for one person, but two people needing it at the same time doesn't work. My take away from this hotel is that it's a good hotel for a one night stay, maybe two. The furniture and drawer space is very limited which means you really have to live out of your suitcase, thus my opinion that it's a good place to stay if you're passing thru. Good location if you have business to take care of in Salisbury. Very convenient to highways and main roads

Close to interstate on the outskirts of Salisbury, decent hotel at a reasonable price, no problems breakfast could do with a bit more variety. Would use again

Liked that easy access on adn off the Hwy for travel.

Close to Major hwy, close shopping centers, dining (Culvers Wendys, etc), & choice of service stations (BP, Shell, Citgo)

Very pleasantly surprised and satisfied by the value of this hotel: clean, quiet, updated, and comfortable, all at a very good price. Additionally, it’s close by both restaurants and the freeway. I’ll be back on my frequent trips through NC.

1st of all the was advertised open but upon arrival it was closed. The shower was messed up and would not get very hot or shut off completely. The toilet ran all the time. The curtains were ripped. Tiny square pillows on a king bed. The main idea on the lacking breakfast was a waffle maker but the waffle batter looked disgusting.

Although the property seemed like an old structure it was very, very well kept. The rooms were very clean with fresh linen. The continental breakfast was excellent! You could even make your own waffles! I will definitely be making Quality Inn & Suites our go to look lodging whenever we come to Salisbury!

The property was unique in that it was well kept and clean. The hot water was a pleasure as well as the continental breakfast. The beds were very, very comfortable. We extended our stay for one more day as it was such a pleasure. This will be my go to place to stay whenever I am in the Salisbury area.

The pool was closed for half of our visit and we only choose the place for the pool. The breakfast was completely inedible. Even the wrapped danishes were hard. Some of the staff were nice and helpful. Others were pretty.much lazy. Definitely dont recommend staying here.

Front desk agent was GRUMPY. Breakfast was very limited. Pieces of Bathroom ceiling were literally falling down onto us when we showered. Toilet wasn’t bolted In so it was like being on a see saw every time you sat. Pillows were awful
