What guests think
At Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Hardeeville-Hilton Head by IHG, travellers frequently praise the friendly staff, convenient I-95 location and often-enjoyed free breakfast, while feedback is mixed on room condition and overall cleanliness.
Families like the indoor pool, though the hot tub is often out of order, parking can be tight, and there are occasional elevator problems. Rooms are sometimes spacious and comfortable, but several reviews cite thin walls, maintenance issues like loose tiles or aging fixtures, and intermittent musty or pet odors. The setting is convenient for road trips but sits behind a gas station, and several guests noted limited nearby dining. Overall, expect a convenient stop with variable room quality.

The hotel itself was fabulous. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything looked to be new or newly renovated. The only issue is it shares a parking lot with a gas station and convenience store and parking that is for the hotel itself is extremely limited. It you are not there early (before 7pm) to snag a spot, you need to park near/at the convenience store which doesn’t feel the safest to leave your vehicle overnight.

The breakfast was probably the best part of the stay. Good variety of food and staff attentiveness. When we first drove up to the hotel we were put off by the area it was in but other guests showed up and we decided to stay. Our room was okay but they need to do a better job cleaning the rooms. The elevator needs to be fixed as it lands hard with noise as it stops at ground floor. This was certainly not what we were expecting for a Holiday Inn.

Nice place, right off 95, could use some updating. The best was the shower, plenty of pressure as well as hot water, most hotels have no water pressure and you typically run out of hot water! The breakfast was good, plenty of choices. The downfall was they only have 1 elevator and it was broken.

The bathroom wasnt cleaned well - the shower had multiple black hairs in it and mold…the tv was very outdated…no access to netflix or any smart tv options and the cable the came in was so blurry it wasnt watchable - looked like a picture from tvs 10/15 years ago…could get a better tv for 100 bucks on black friday may I suggest upgrading…indoor pool was nice but the hot tub was cold🤔 soda machine on floor was broken but the staff was accommodating and friendly. Holiday inn express used to be our go to chain but the cleanliness quality and amenities were not what we would expect of this chain but rather a run down mom and pop operation…we will not be seeking them as our go to anymore. The pros were the staff and they are pet friendly. Thanks

We have stayed in many hotels in this area but this may be our new go-to. We were very comfortable. Staff was super friendly, our toddler loved the indoor pool, and was pet friendly. There was a wonderful young man taking care of the breakfast buffet and he was so friendly and helpful really made our morning even better. The food was also better than most other continental breakfast we’ve had.

Although the front desk got us a new room and even an upgrade, this is a dirty hotel. Our original room had filthy walls (I think blood) and the carpet was full of sticky stuff and stains. Our next room was cleaner, but still not great.

Hallway looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a week. The filters and vent in a/c unit were totally clogged with dust and debris. The room just felt dirty and old. If any hotel needed a remodel, it is this one. Not worth the price or the 3 star rating.

Mold in bathroom, wads of hair under the sink area and behind the door. Loose bathroom tiles rattle and click when walking on the floor. Super musty. Glad this was just a super quick stay. Will look elsewhere next time!

hotel is in a good safe location right off I95. the personnel at the hotel were very friendly. the bed was comfortable and the AC was working. however, the room was not very clean. the refrigerator was very loud so i unplugged it, and it was filthy behind, which triggered me to be much more observant than usual, and many details in the room just were not up to par, however i did not complain. morning breakfast was fine. i do not eat any cooked foods at hotels, so the bagel, juice, fresh fruit were fine. coffee was fresh blended and very good. i would stay again while traveling.

This hotel is conveniently located right off the highway. It is very clean and bright upon entry. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We were able to get checked in quickly, with no issues. The room was exactly as pictured and expected. The beds are comfortable and provide a decent nights sleep. The toiletries provided in the bathroom are Dove brand— and the water pressure in the shower is fantastic for a hotel. And, the most important part— the breakfast buffet is one of the best selections our family has seen at a hotel. Fresh omelettes, Turkey and pork sausage, fresh fruit, yogurts, pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, a variety of cereals and hot and cold beverages. They are constantly refreshing it and again, the staff is above and beyond. If you are looking for an affordable stay that meets your needs, look no further. Book this hotel with confidence!

This was convenient to I-95 and the rooms were large. Our room included a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker and had a large desk as well as lots of storage for luggage and other items. The beds were a little on the soft side and the water pressure was very low in both the sink and the shower. Our toilet also had an issue with running on and off throughout the night. I mentioned it to the front desk upon checkout and they said they would put in a maintenance request so I can't comment on the follow through with that. The breakfast was a typical free hotel breakfast - nothing special. The convenience was good but it was also located behind a busy convenience store. Overall, it was clean and I would probably stay there again.

It’s a comfortable but basic hotel. The kitchenette doesn’t offer a single utensil, no plates, no pots or pans. The room was clean but the building could be better soundproof. Every conversation, cough, or bathroom flush from neighboring guests could be heard clearly.

I could easily hear people in the hallways and the rooms next to me. Nothing like hearing loud snoring from another room next to you all night. Also, the muffins in the breakfast area all had mold on them. For both days I was there. Gross. I'll probably look for a place that's a little more sanitary and quiet the next time I visit the area.

Nice staff. Since we had our dog with us they put us on the first floor. The problem the room was next to the elevator and the breakfast area so there was a lot of noise. It was a good room but poorly placed. A conference room would be a more appropriate use for the space. In addition to the crowd and traffic noise, we had a family with an over active young child who stumped for over 4 hours the first night then started early the next morning. Thankfully they left. The child made so much noise the front desk staff could hear it but did not do anything until my wife asked them to call the room.

Missed cleanings, which means no coffee refill or towels. Musty and damp( almost moldy smelling. Refrigerator leaked on floor everyday. We went to address our issues and not one person took care of us. If I could put pictures on I would. Mold in bathroom but the biggest issue is that my mother in law passed away the first night we stayed and no one would answer the phone for over an hour at the front desk. Then when they answered the staff didn’t put the call thru for another 15 minutes. VERY disappointed

The property was good. The staff was great. The only thing was that we arrived a little late and we couldn't find a restaurant were we could order in. After being on the road for 10 hrs we didn't really want to drive anymore to find a restaurant. Apparently Hardeeville is in bed by 9pm on a Sunday night. Other than that the hotel was great.

The hotel itself was fabulous. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything looked to be new or newly renovated. The hotel is a little far from Savannah and is located in the middle of nothing. For one night stay was ok, breakfast more than enough and staff friendly.

Good hotel easy on off from I 95. Decent area. Will have to drive about 10 miles for food other than fast food.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Interior appeared fairly recently remodeled. Check-in was inefficient. Property location is right on a major highway (convenient) but directly behind a busy gas station/convenient store which was not appealing.

hotel is in a good safe location right off I95. the personnel at the hotel were very friendly. the bed was comfortable and the AC was working. however, the room was not very clean. the refrigerator was very loud so i unplugged it, and it was filthy behind, which triggered me to be much more observant than usual, and many details in the room just were not up to par, however i did not complain. morning breakfast was fine. i do not eat any cooked foods at hotels, so the bagel, juice, fresh fruit were fine. coffee was fresh blended and very good. i would stay again while traveling.

The outside area was disgusting. Garbage and dog poop everywhere. Also, breakfast did not start until 7. Most travelers want to be on thevroad by then. Very noisy.

Excellent representative of the Brand..Very comfortable. Friendly, efficient staff. The breakfast was the best offering that we’ve seen of the hotel standard buffets. Everything exceptionally clean. Well presented. A winner in the class.

I had high hopes staying here. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The attendant tried to charge me twice for the room when I got here. Then in our room the pull out bed in the suite had rust stains on the mattress and the bedding was dirty. The sheets had hair and stains on pillow cases the bathroom had stains on walls and floor needed mopped. They do have wonderful soap. When we went to go to breakfast it had closed. We were told 10 and showed at 9:30.

The gal who checked us in her name was Tiffany and she was wonderful very friendly very helpful. The breakfast staff were really really good. Food was delicious and we spoke to a young lady who was acting in the trash and wiping down tables and she was just as sweet and as happy as you would want to encounter at 7 AM in the morning.. highly recommend this hotel

Breakfast was fine, area was very clean and staff friendly. Room was a little “wet” feeling, air conditioning set to 70. Found a m&m under the desk and chocolate ground into the carpet and long hairs in the bathroom, everything else was very clean and comfortable. Stayed for two nights. Front desk staff extremely friendly. Parking lot well lit, easy access off I-95 and easy access to Bluffton

Room 106 had black mold on the ceiling. It was apparent the ac unit above had leaked and this was never addressed. Wi-fi & internet are VERY slow & spotty. They have removed all coffee makers in the rooms and only provide half the towels they used to. Ŵas this cut back in amenities reflected in the price of the room? NOPE!
