Pools and the hot tub are frequently closed or dirty, and leaks, buckets, exposed wiring, and limited elevators reinforce the work-in-progress feel. Service feedback is mixed: several guests found staff friendly and helpful, while others noted rude encounters, slow responses, and check-in frustrations. Breakfast often disappoints and strict dine-in-only rules frustrate guests, though a few called it acceptable. The location near shops and Horrocks is convenient, but recurring noise and occasional safety concerns suggest a budget stay with trade-offs.

Doesn’t look like the pictures at all , only 1 elevator . Rooms are scary looking with nasty carpet , bathrooms are small and old . Rust all over the shower head . The pool area was even scarier . The bottom of the pool didn’t look like it had been cleaned properly in 5+ years . Never again .

The hotel was clearly older. There was a spot on the bathtub that was chipped and rusted. The halls smelled of linger smoke of a bygone era. The pool was a bit run down and dingy, the hot tub was closed. The heat was turned off in the room so it was very cold when I arrived, but warmed up once I turned the heat on. The interior of the room was updated and clean. Water pressure was lack luster and shower didn’t get very hot, overall it was acceptable for the price but nothing spectacular

Property is right across the road from Horrocks and there’s plenty of dining and shopping areas nearby. Our first tome staying here and while we probably wouldn’t stay again it wasn’t too disappointing, just not what we normally stay at. The room as clean but it’s dated and the hallways need some attention and there was an unusual smell in the hallway. The hot tub was in repair and while there was a pool it looked like it was closed off too as there wasn’t a single person in it.

First, let me say that I took photos. The first room, #331, we were assigned had dirty towels pushed up against the wall under the window. The floor was warped as water has been leaking in. The second room, #133, was not in good repair. The blanket had cigarette burn marks. The tub caulking was moldy and there was rust around the drain. The vent in the bathroom was not working. Therefore, after showering the room became very damp and humid, even with the A/C on. The room was not very clean and lacking one facecloth. We returned back after a very busy day and evening to find that the room was not made up hence no fresh towels. We went to the front desk, and they gave us towels, but again only one washcloth for the two of us. They said they could not find a second washcloth. The halls were filthy, and bags of trash were out in front of the door of one room. They were not picked up during our stay. Again, I took photos. The ceiling tiles in the hallways were filthy and stained and someone ran communication wires along the ceiling like clothesline. The pool was cloudy. The Spa was empty. The grounds had trash that was not picked up during our stay. Finally, this was a Ramada that was "transitioning" toto a Clarion hotel. We had a little trouble finding it, as the sign out front was still a Ramada sign. Had we known this was a Ramada, we would Not have booked it. In all of our Domestic and International travel, we have only once before had to write a review such as this.

I liked the retro lobby. The rooms were clean, and staff was super friendly. Only one set of elevators for a huge hotel is a bit inconvenient, the hike to your room was also a bit inconvenient. Upstairs layout was like a labyrinth because its huge and improper directory signs. No ice anywhere. Crammed breakfast area was uncomfortable and chaotic, food was bad. They are remodeling so i am sure it will improve.

The ceiling tiles in the hallway were dirty, soiled, and some were missing. The floors were dirty in the room and in the hallways. The smell in the hallway made me physically nauseous. The hallways were not vacuumed and therer was trash from the night before in the hallway the next morning. The window frame was pulled away from the window on the outside as if someone pulled it loose to get in from the outside. The pool was not operational. And we were told we had to pay $20 per plate if we wanted to take our "Complimentary Breakfast" to our room.

It was very disappointing to show up after booking a room and find out that the pool was not operating since it was 100° outside and that was one of the reasons for staying there was to relax and chill indoors in the pool. Had I known this when we had booked we would have chosen a different hotel.

The building is under construction, Pool and hot tub are closed. The roof leaks, including in our room. Buckets in the hallways. The front desk staff originally told us she didn’t have our reservation, we had to come back and show our reservation. Our view from the hotel room looked like a war zone. Staff are not in uniform.

Talk about "am i in a episode of american horror story" 3 stars!? Dirty as in hasn't been touched, surface spaces, since maybe the last guest. White caked stuff on the sheets as well! Nothing like the photos advertised. Staff acts like they're a busy 5 star hotel in NY, but when the quality of cleanliness and basic needs of a hotel are not met; You cannot carry a concierge staff culture this way. Save yourself the uncomfortably and unsatisfactory pricing for a unsavory experience in Lansing, Mi.

The property is very run down, old and out dated. The bathroom smelled like pee, the tub didn’t drain and was stained, shower curtain dirty. A/C was very loud, hall ways smelled like weed and the bathroom light turned on and off all night. It looks like the property is under construction but the inside and outside is gross. Would not stay there again and very over priced.

The front desk staff was nice. When I opened the bedside drawer it had a bag of Ireo’s and a vape in it. Clearly, the cleaning staff wasn’t very thorough. The bathtub backed up with a foot of water. We had to completely remove the drain plug in order for the tub to drain. There were quite a few signs posted about how breakfast was “dine in only” and no good/drink could be taken outside the dining area. The reality is that the breakfast was one of the absolute worst I’ve ever had. There’s nothing I would have wanted to take back to my room even if I wanted to. The remaining few days we had breakfast at Denny’s instead. The room was pretty cheap (cost-wise) and we pretty much hit what we paid for. That being said, we won’t be staying here again.

This property was filthy. The first room they gave us had a broken television and refrigerator. The floor was dirty and the bed looked unmade. The second room was no better. The fridge didn't work, there were globs of some gross gel like substance on the floor and nightstand, and dirty sheets. The television barely showed a picture. There were buckets in the hallways catching water. The hotel sign was taped to the counter. The staff was not very kind. We didn't stay longer than 5 minutes in the second room before we left for a different hotel. This place is gross.

Room was dirty, cob webs all over ceiling, room smelled like smoke as well as the halls, bathroom door didn’t lock, water was Luke warm, roof water stains all over. Outside grass was terribly mowed and bushes were overgrown. No signs on the outside showing it was Clarion. Outdated old bath tub. Very disappointed cut my time there and left a day early.

The staff was friendly. Our whole hallway smelled like pot. The room had marks on the bedding, in the shower there was hair in the corner of the shower, rust marks everywhere in the bathroom, the blind was all stained. The hallways were dark, tv had very poor quality picture. Very uneasy feeling. The pictures when you book look amazing but they are very deceiving.

Check in lady had a cough and could not or did not know how to cover her mouth. The ceilings in the hallways were molded and falling down. When we went to the continental breakfast you had to have a voucher and they did not allow you to go in and eat and take your coffee with you, I think that’s a little over the top being it was not a grand breakfast that you would need a voucher for! The outside was dirty and they had carpet and junk laying all over! Was not happy!

The property has just transferred to Clarion. It is in dire need of updating. There seem to be long term residents who cook in their rooms, causing the hallways to smells. The rooms were clean, however the accommodations are old.

I stay here often, but the main reason is for the access and the price it’s a work in progress. It’s a huge hotel much bigger than the area at the Giants so I can only imagine a huge fixed cost associated. They are restoring the building. It was in pretty rough condition but they’re doing a good job. It just takes a long time For the meantime there’s no direct number to reach the front desk so I have to give service a downgrade the people are very nice when you get a hold of them and accommodating, but you have to track them down like I said forget about reaching on my phone. The design and the upkeep of the hotel are right out of 1979 kind of dark and dingy, but not unacceptable in terms of the cost . The room themselves have been updated nicely, except for the bathroom. They need work, especially the tub in the shower, plumbing.

I was stuffed up from whatever was I that room I could not get sleep I had someone stomping over my head then my last day I get off after having no sleep try to take a nap before I have to drive the rush me out at 1130 furthermore the lady that knocked didn’t wait for me to respond she just tried bursting through the door which I had the latch on but never even gave me time to respond so I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone if your looking for a quiet place for sleep for your business trip

Front desk were polite but breakfast food and staff were both awful. Never had such a terrible breakfast and when I complained the staff treated me terrible.

a 50$ deposit is charged on every stay. i have stayed there on three separate occasions over the past week/two, and not seeing the return to my payment card on any of them yet. they told me the return is within three to five days.

There's no sign on the hotel (apparently it used to be a Ramida). The halls reminded me of The Shining. The halls and exterior are VERY dirty. The room we were in had been updated and was better than the rest of the place. You can't bring your "complimentary breakfast" back to your room to enjoy or they will charge you $20, which I found absolutely ridiculous. Staff were ok. Would I stay here again, definitely not.

We walked in the desk is higher than the receptionist so they can’t even see people walk in. I felt very eary and unsafe from the minute we walked in, but I had already paid for it online. It took forever to check us in even though I had already paid for it. We went to our room and I felt like I was in a halfway house and the room she gave us was adjoined and kids were blasting and screaming at 11 o’clock. It smelt like weed down the hallway a room we walked past had 20 things of trash just sitting outside of door. I walked downstairs to have her move us she immediately did so we went to the 3rd floor and it was quiet until 4am someone was trying to break into our room shaking it. Me and my husband woke up. It was very scary as we had our kids with us. The hallways were very dirty with cords hanging everywhere along the ceilings. Never again! Oh and breakfast was so gross and they said we couldn’t take it to go when we had to be somewhere at 7:30 and breakfast isn’t served until 7. So my kids can’t take oj and a bagel to go? Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a very very long time. This hotel should not have 6.7 reviews. It’s a zero if I could.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The room was dirty the carpet looked like it had been there for 30 years, it was not vacuumed and had little pieces of stuff (including cigarette ashes all over. The comforter and the sheets had brown stains on them and the comforter had a burn spot. Not only that but my husband went down to eat the breakfast the first morning we were there and he watched tv as he ate. The breakfast was horrible. He took one bite of the eggs sausage and potatoes and then threw them away. The next morning he went down to try and eat again and the general manager came up to him and you need to leave. Yesterday you sat here for an hour and ate, you can not stay down here and eat for an hour, you get 20 minutes to eat and leave. My husband said I was down here so long because it was a nice morning I was watching tv while I ate my breakfast. They got into it and the manager told him that the cops would be there at 11 am on our checkout day. I could not believe he was so angry and put a time limit on eating your breakfast. This was the worst time yet

The breakfast waa horrible. The cereal we stall, milk was warm and the waffle maker didnt work. It took 3 tries to get a room that waant either dirt or had sogs on either side. The pool ans hot tub have been close for years per the front desk person. The staff was great, our beds where comfortable. They are renovating the place so hopefully these issues we had will be resolved.

My non-smoking room reeked of stale cigarettes. I was very uncomfortable in this old run-down facility - had I not had a late night arrival, I would have gone elsewhere. A " ticket" was needed for breakfast and there were signs everywhere that there would be a $20 charge for taking food to the room - the food was not worth it - poor quality and the coffee looked like weak tea. I would recommend avoiding this place!

Not a great experience. The room wasn't dirty but it could have been cleaner, dust in corners etc. The hot tub was out of order. Walls paper thin, the people next door were super loud (which is not the hotel's fault). Breakfast was not good, the breakfast room was freezing, The food was cold and overdone.

When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk manager told us that there were no longer King rooms available, despite our confirmation. As he searched for an available alternative, I reminded him that we also had paid the extra $40 fee to bring our dog. He said "Oh my God - you have a dog, too!? We already have 6 on property." I reminded him that the hotel was advertised as pet friendly. He suddenly found a King on the first floor "where dogs have to stay" and said we were required to put down a $100 deposit, which would be refunded if we didn't damage the room. We agreed. He told us we had to drive around to the back of the property to access the room. The back side of the hotel looked like a filthy demolition site with broken windows covered in plastic, tons of trash and debris and what looked like abandoned construction equipment. Our room looked dirty and our bare feet turned black from walking on the linoleum floor. The next morning, we discovered that the self- proclaimed "superior breakfast," which you had to submit plastic tokens to access, was a minimal assortment of the usual stuff - stale breads, powdered eggs, "best value" yogurt and Tang versus actual orange juice. We had to ask the attendants to make more coffee while we waited at a sticky table. This was clearly a franchise operation but I'm surprised Clarion would let them use their brand name and allow such disgusting conditions. Spend $50 more and find a better hotel. I took pictures!

The price was excellent. The grounds are very run down as well as the inside. Great place to stay if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. Staff was excellent!!! Breakfast was not great i would make plans to eat somewhere else very limited food even though we got there when it first opened. The clearly didn’t restock things for the next day. Cereal was stale & eggs were cold. We stayed 3 nights & had no maid service. Also had to have our keys reactivated multiple times.

I just want to start off by saying the evening staff member, I cannot remember his name was so helpful through the difficulties I experienced. The first room was smoked out with marijuana smell, and I thought the room I booked was non-smoking. I went to the store to get air freshener to not be a burden only to pull back the sheets and there was hair and crumbs like the sheets were never changed. There look like bedbug residue. I was changed into a much better room and finished my stay. I really like to know who is holding these stays accountable for bugs??
