What guests think

Across recent reviews, Best Western Galt Inn stands out for a popular, better-than-expected free breakfast, convenient freeway access, and solid value, making it a practical stopover for road trips and short stays.

Many guests also note friendly, accommodating service and quick, easy check-ins. Drawbacks that recur include occasional maintenance or amenity problems (elevators, AC, hot tub temperature, ice machine), areas that feel dated or worn, and late-night noise from other guests. Cleanliness feedback skews positive overall, though a minority reported hair in bathrooms or on towels, carpets needing attention, or rooms not fully serviced. Best for uncomplicated overnights when passing through the area.

Hot tub, pool, gym. Something for everyone. They also have Tesla chargers onsite. Signs say only for employees, but in a pinch I think they’d let you use them.

Good hotel price was good. Hotel is older and in need of touch ups but overall good for a one night stay. Bed was comfortable. Air con worked well. Easy to see room had been recently painted. Was clean. The only negative for us was the carpet was clearly not in great condition. It actually felt a little stick with residue or something on it. We just made sure to always keep our flip flops on while in room. Other than that all good. We would stay again. Breakfast was average.

I liked free breakfast, I liked the Nice staff, Comfortable beds, Clean linens, convenient & close parking, Wi-Fi ! I didnt like that our room carpet didn't get vacuumed and all floor didnt get cleaned by housekeeping We did get our beds made, and towels changed But floor carpet was very dirty, I was wearing my socks for our 3 day stay and all 3 pairs of white socks ended up super filthy!

The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good (although no gluten free bread options) and the breakfast area was clean and maintained. And the bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint is the hot tub wasn’t hot, our room wasn’t vacuumed, and every time we got towels there was hair on them (it was clear they were washed, but for whatever reason there was hair on every one of them on all 3 days).

When we got there, the desk clerk said he could not find my reservation even though I showed the confirmation from my cell phone. Then he said someone checked me in even though I have not showed up at the hotel yet. There were 2 queen beds in the room. One of the beds had hairs on the bedsheet. It seemed like bedsheets were not changed. Pillows cases appeared not changed either. Water was stagnant in the shower room. I almost slipped when I stepped in the shower. It was unsanitary. It was disgusting. The room was not spacious. The door would not lock by itself. Had to pull it to close every time going out and in of the room.

Rooms

Rooms are generally comfortable—many are spacious or refreshed—with reliable Wi-Fi and in-room fridge/microwave; some offer jetted tubs. Downsides include noise from AC or fridges, dated decor in places, hard or sagging beds, harsh lighting, and some layout/accessibility quirks.

I am in a mobility/handicap room with a roll in shower. There is not enough clearance in the room for me and my chair to pull up to the bed and lie down. There is not enough room for me to pass the end of the bed. I am confined to the entryway. Can you imagine how I got to the bed? My husband was not injured in the process

Front desk gave the key to my room to a man I didn’t know. Imagine sleeping only to wake up to a grown ass man in your room. Then they called me like I wasn’t supposed to be in my room. I guess the person who checked me in gave me the wrong room. I usually stay here when visiting family but I don’t think I’ll be staying here anymore. As I waited someone else came and said that there was luggage in her room that wasn’t hers. I don’t know what’s going on but for safety I don’t recommend anyone staying here

Upon arriving we were greeted by the most nicest lady Polly. She help us get our rooms and even changed our first room because the fridge wasn’t working. Through out our 5 day stay for the music festival in Sacramento she and her staff greeted us warmly. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, breakfast was great, with lots of options. This was the cleanest place I’ve seen and everything was well kept. Would stay again next year for the next music festival.

Upon arriving after a 14 hour day on the road with three kids, we were denied check in because Expedia had not paid the hotel. Mind you, I had a paid in full receipt from Expedia but because BW’s “hands were tied” and they were still “waiting for payment”, we could not check in. We had hustled to make it in time for the kids to swim before the pool closed and I had even told the young man working the desk this. I know he was doing his job, but he did little to nothing to make us comfortable while we waited for Expedia to fix their error. Long story short, my kids didn’t get to swim and burn any energy after a long ride. Also we paid for five people and the hotel only provided enough towels for three. From here on out, I will be double checking with hotel prior to check in to make sure Expedia’s affairs are in order. I’ve never had a problem with Expedia before so I’m not sure where the real problem was. But I have a feeling it was BW’s since I’ve heard from a couple others staying with BW having similar issues.

I never give a place 5 stars, but I will give this place 5 for the excellent breakfast alone. Usually when my wife and I stay at a hotel or motel they say free breakfast and you go down for breakfast and there is tea, hot water and toast. The spread had everything, fresh waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, everything you need for a good breakfast.
