What guests think

At Comfort Inn Ellsworth - Bar Harbor, travellers consistently praise friendly, welcoming staff, very clean rooms, and a convenient location for visiting Acadia/Bar Harbor, alongside popular complimentary touches such as afternoon soup, cookies, ice cream, and iced coffee.

Common drawbacks include occasional Wi-Fi hassles with reauthentication or ads, small bathrooms or sink-outside layouts with sometimes low water pressure, and crowded breakfast space at peak times. Some guests noted dated areas, hard left turns when exiting the busy road, and sporadic service lapses. A reliable base for exploring Acadia without staying in Bar Harbor.

Assigned without requesting to an accesible room across from front desk, next to the "gym" of 4 treadmills. No pool with a resort fee. WiFi had to be signed in frequently. Pro:Bed was good quality for sleep. Regular coffee and OJ good in minimal breakfast area. Breakfast was mostly defrosted or warm in a small area, garbage heaping from the bins. No service for room-leave sheet on door for towel needs. Phone ran for long periods before being answered in evening. Shower head very high, chair to moved into stationary walled tub and three grab bars---just doesn't seem to be an accesible option.

What you would expect from a Comfort Inn in a built-up area 30 minutes from a major tourist area (Bar Harbor/Acadia NP). Clean, basic accommodations. Desk guy was great... very friendly and offered a lot of info about the park. Only real complaints were with the design of the bathroom: the sink and the bathroom light are both outside the bathroom, making it nearly impossible to use the bathroom in the middle of the night without waking others in the room with a very bright light and running water to wash hands. Otherwise a good stay.

On the first day of our stay, we reported a clogged sink and requested either another room or that it be repaired. Despite following up more than five times over our five-night stay, the issue was never addressed. Additionally, the bathroom shower had extremely low water flow, making it difficult to use. We also requested room service, but it was not provided at all during our stay. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.

Very quiet hotel. The breakfast was very good and had a load of options. The cleanliness far surpassed any of the other hotels we've used this trip. If i had to nitpick and find the smallest thing negative it would be the the entrance on the road. Its horrible trying to make a left turn outta there. Also has a blindspot behind a pole. I pulled right out in front of some old lady i didn't see. Fortunately she still had good reflexs. Afterwards i had to turn around go back to the room to change my underwear then attempt that turn again...

Ok stay. Convenient to Acadia, but still a 30min drive to Bar Harbor. And not much to do in Ellsworth...including limited dining options after 8pm. Trouble with wifi first couple of nights. Morning breakfast was decent. Very pricey for a Comfort Inn, but i guess at peak season, it's the going rate. Probably better off with B&B closer to Acadia or Bar Harbor.
