I’ve stayed at this property before so I know they have better kept parts of the hotel but the rooms they use for customers that utilize sites like this are disgusting. The carpet and walls of the areas you walk through are filthy. The door handle was sticky, and there was a huge wet spot on the carpet next to the bed… like 3 feet in diameter… also made the room smell like feet. The bed rattled every time you moved. The furniture was also sticky. I understand it’s an old hotel but old things can and should still be cleaned. The positive was that the front desk staff were nice… but I would be embarrassed to put someone in a room like that.

Reasons to stay here - proximity to downtown, close to freeway exit, clean room, hot breakfast, indoor pool, large space in center if weather is bad and you want to walk laps unobstructed. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Seeing what a formerly grand family hotel looks like after years of neglect and poor maintenance, I bet it was a busy fun place 20-30 years ago. Reasons to not stay here - common areas are worn out, old carpets smell, paint is beaten off the doors, wall paper is decades old along with the carpets, elevators are broken so you are forced to access your room by taking the freight elevator at the very far end of the property - plan on using a cart if you have bags as its the entire length of the property. Once in the room its OK and despite being well worn it was clean and lots of hot water for shower. If owners revitalize it - then it could be great place once again.

This hotel is awesome. Huge and so neat. Sure, it's a little outdated but I thought that added to its charm. Rooms are huge, beds are comfy, and the fountain and pool and game area are super neat. Totally worth the price.
