Western Plaza Inn

What guests think

Across many reviews, Western Plaza Inn offers solid value in a small-town setting, with basic rooms that can feel dated and occasional maintenance or noise issues, while location near highways and eateries helps for simple stopovers.

Cleanliness is praised frequently, though some guests reported stained linens, odors, pests, or mold. Service is often friendly and responsive, but a few reviews describe unwelcoming interactions and one serious discrimination allegation. Overall, it suits budget-minded travelers prioritizing practicality over extras.

Staff (only ever saw one person) not very friendly. Not provided wifi password, had to call and ask or it. My phone would not let me connect to the wifi; it just kept giving me a message that the connection was not safe. There was an ottoman in the room that most of the leather covering was worn off. Most of the paint on the sidewalks was gone or peeling. Not very impressed.

This is an older motel, with all rooms facing the parking lot. It was mostly empty when I arrived, but there were "big truck" sounds all night. However, it didn't disturb my sleep and the bed was quite comfortable.

The motel looks like it is run-down, but the rooms are very clean, well appointed, and well stocked. The owners are very helpful. We had a couple of requests for extra supplies which were taken care of immediately. We wanted to change rooms and they gave us a different room with no questions and no hassle. Best thing about this was how clean it was and how responsive the owner/staff was. 2nd best thing was the mexican restaurant just 100 yards north of the hotel. Ask for the green salsa!

Average property, nothing special. The room was above average. What I didn't like was that there is no pool and there is no breakfast offered. Also, the hotel employe was not personable at all. No smile, no welcome, but not rude.

The bathrooom was gross there was mold on the tub. Despite me telling the staff he acted as if they didnt care. Then i was refused to extend my stay. Im still undecided if ill stay again.

I want to give a lot of credit to the owner and staff. They did a great job of servicing my stay. I stayed at the facility all week - Sunday evening check-in through Friday morning. I received full service everyday. Each day I returned from my work site, the room was clean and the towels were replenished. I will definitely stay at this motel again if I am in the area.

The bed was hard and the pillows were flat. The toilet handle broke in the middle of the night. My husband had to take the back off and we had to pull up on the valve by hand. There were two remotes for the small television; one for the volume and one for the power. Disappointing overall.

The people who run the place are beyond rude and disrespectful to other people of color. I was able to book a room online and the manager was happy to assist me, until he seen that my husband was African American then his mood suddenly changed and he no longer had any rooms available. He also insisted in an extremely rude tone that we leave his property. I’m still sick to my stomach with the way this experience has impacted me.

If ur looking for a clean, comfortable, place to rest, this works very well. Convenient to major hi-ways helps U get on ur way. U do get noise from occasional train warning horns but not a deal breaker. Cost is important and room rate is excellent. Only negative was coffee and doughnuts were advertised for breakfast but not available. McDonald’s across street took care of that
