The self parking cost of 39.00 in addition to room cost of 318.50 for less than 24 hours is outrageous. Pool is full of kids and the rooftop nightclub is closed. What is the resort fee for?

This was a wonderful experience. We ate in the hotel. The pool was nice especially for the kids. With the Ferris wheel there it was a nice addition with the VIP paw.

I thought the Gaylord was overpriced for what it offered. Our bathroom tub was not draining properly, and the pull for the shower broke while we were there, they did repair it, but I thought the room was mid-overall. Also, the splash pad near the pool area was not working. That sucked because I had a small kid looking forward to it.

The spa at this hotel needs some serious renovation. The staff need some training. Hot tub wasn't working and the white couches are old and have cracks. Still was change full price for the spa

Nice hotel. Really appreciate the openness. We had drinks 2 nights and breakfast one morning at the hotel. The food and drinks were very good. The big bonus for this hotel is the bus. It runs a route from the hotel to the Tanger outlets and MGM. If you are staying at the Gaylord you just show your room key and the shuttle is free.

There was no notice that there was a convention going on with an extra 50,000 people and the hotel did not plan accordingly or have any alternative for basic necessities for guest. Waited 20-30 Minutes for elevators just to find a line that took over an hour for coffee and a bagel. No restaurants except the “market” where all food is prepared and under warmers. When I tried to call for room service I was informed that it was simply the food from the market brought up to my room. Nothing fresh!!! Over priced food for poor quality “fast food” quality food. I am sure the hotel would be great if there was not 50,000 extra people who were using all the amenities, elevators and restaurants but the idea that I paid close to $900 a night for a premium hotel it was far from premium service

The property is gorgeous. We’ve been here plenty of times before but we seem to discover something new every visit. This time, we visited the roof top lounge/bar. It offers an amazing view of the area. We also came across a beautiful rolling hill that over looks the water. We enjoyed sat in Adirondacks and ate snacks while watching the sunset. The staff were amazing especially James from the Potomac Dining Cafe and Market.

The pool was under construction and the roof top restaurant was closed and the garden area was under construction for Christmas set up I should have picked a better hotel my chance to have a fun trip was ruined The hotel should have disclosed that all of its facilities were going to be out of service I paid alot for it but didn’t get to use any of the facilities it had bragged about on line

My family, along with two of my best girlfriends and their families, decided to book a weekend getaway at Gaylord for the Christmas festivities. We participated in many of the holiday activities, which were truly magical. Most of the staff were great, and the front desk team was absolutely phenomenal. However, my experience took a turn when my son and I went swimming. At first glance, the pool seemed fine, but once we got in, it was disgusting. The filters were murky brown, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years, and the water was salty and gritty—an absolute nightmare. Additionally, there was a pile of trash on my floor near the elevator that remained untouched throughout our stay. No one came to retrieve it, and many guests took photos and made comments, suggesting they had reported it to the hotel staff, but nothing was done. On top of that, parking was $43 per day, and I was charged for Wi-Fi. Considering the high costs, it felt like we were paying Disney World prices for a local experience. Overall, while the festivities were wonderful, the cleanliness and value for the price left much to be desired. I likely wouldn’t stay there again, as the Residence Inn and Westin offer better rates and are much cleaner.

We had a wonderful stay. The decorations were beautiful.The food at the Old Hickory Restaurant was Delicious. Marc our host was wonderful. The elevator floor was dirty and a plastic cup on the floor for the two days. I didn't take the time to report it.

For $550 dollars a night - they lost my reservation then with confirmation email found it gave me a room that was easily 150 yards from the closest elevator (3 banks but none of them close. There were stains on the sheets and a lot wear on the building. If attending a conference, save your money stay elsewhere and walk 59 yards across the street.

The room was good until we opened the drawer to put our clothes away. There was a used fleet enema. We immediately requested another room. They moved us promptly however, the room they moved us from had view of the harbor, the new room was a view of the roof and trees. When we checked out and they asked us about our stay, we said it didn’t start off great, we had to move rooms. And the response wasn’t one of concern for the customer it was simply “oh ok”. I felt like this should have been handled differently than just moving us to a room without the view of the first. For a Gaylord property I did expect more.

We were suppose to have a king suite with a river view. We ended up with a king room with a view of bushes/trees. Valled the desk and was immediately told "it was not the hotels fault, nothing they could do for us, they did not have ki g rooms with a river view". I expressed my displeasure and was told "we can offer you a doue queen with a view of the atrium". Queen beads! Not exactly what i would want for a weekend get away with my wife. The halls to the hotel were not properly cleaned. Trash and wisky glasses i. The hall when we arrived o. Friday night, were still there when we departed Sunday morning.

Our room was upgraded because i am a Marriott member. The view awesome. However we had a problem with the air conditioning. It was near 100° and the room temp did not go below 70°. We complained to the front desk on Friday night someone came up but it still was not fixed. We called on Saturday and went to the desk on Saturday with no success. They comped us $100 and offered to change the room with not so great of a view on Saturday evening as we had dinner reservations so not something we wanted to do so late and check was on Sunday am. I was not satisfied. The weekend there was very expensive.

Our bellhop Mo, was truly the nicest guy, that has ever handled luggage. His personality, kindness and interaction was amazing. Another amazing person, was Lisa. She was truly one of a kind. From the customer service, to the valets and bellhops, we will definitely choose to stay here again!

My two daughters and I we're greeted poorly by a check in representative. She was rude and denied us access to the property because I left my OD home. She offered us no alternatives to checking in while never establishing direct eye contact with me. The experience was humiliating and disrespectful. We were also, disrespected and talked to in a threatening manner by a male pool staff person. This incident had me leaving in tears while being escorted by security along with my two daughters to my room.

This hotel was a disaster. Check in lines were long. We attended a convention and there were 3 people checking in. Our rooms were not ready till 6pm. Check in staff looked miserable and disinterested. There was a constant problem with room keys not working. After getting key reprogrammed and still not working I went back to the front desk and politely told the front desk about it, his response was "punch me in the face". It seemed like he had enough as others were also complaining. I was then told the door lock battery must be down. They will send maintenance shortly. I came back 3 hours later with the same scenario. Every morning when we left the room we requested rooms be cleaned. That never happened. It was a nightmare. PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT STAYING HERE. STAFF WAS UNFRIENDLY, MOST LIKELY DUE TO BEING SHORT STAFFED. MANAGEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS QUALITY OF SERVICE. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Check the Google reviews. All the issues we had have happened to others as well. The hotel can't care less.

Despite making our reservation six months in advance, we received an email just two days before our arrival informing us that the hotel was overbooked and that we would be relocated to the MGM Hotel. This last-minute change caused significant inconvenience, especially as commuting to the convention by shuttle was both time-consuming and challenging. We were extremely disappointed with the handling of the situation

Wonderful Hotels in a very convenient location. Bed was very comfortable, and the view was wonderful. Check in & check out was a breeze. Our bellmen (Moe) was absolutely attentive to our every need. We will return.

The service in the hotel was disappointing. The restaurants were incredibly slow. We wanted to grab a drink and share appetizers at the Belvedere Lobby Bar, but they appeared to have one bartender. It took 20 minutes between ordering and get our first drink. We ate breakfast in Old Hickory the next morning. It took 10 minutes before a hostess even came up to acknowledge us. Once seated, we ordered immediately, but it took 15 minutes to be served coffee and 30 minutes to get our food. The food was delicious, but expensive. We also had a problem at check-in. When we were checking in, the desk associate (not sure if their title) mentioned to me that it looked like I already checked in online. I said, “No, I haven’t done anything since I booked it.” He said, “No, you must have already checked in online.” We both said that was weird because I had not. He checked me in and gave me room keys. When we opened the door and walked into our room we were surprised to find someone else already in the room laying in the bed watching TV. That was uncomfortable for everyone. We went back to the desk, they apologized, and assigned us a new room, which thankfully was not occupied by anyone else. The hotel room was nice and was decorated for Christmas, which was nice. We missed our window to see the ice show because of how long breakfast took. They let us use the tickets but we ran out of time based on the rest of our schedule.

The Gaylord is classy and impressive. It's an easy walk to attractions at National Harbor. Also, the DC Circulator shuttle takes you to Tanger Outlets and MGM Casino. The biggest challenge for us, during New Year's weekend, was finding affordable food. Reservations were very difficult to come by, both inside and outside the Gaylord. The hotel's marketplace is well stocked but quite expensive. Anyway, the Gaylord is a beautiful destination. An added bonus was the courtesy of the staff. I enjoyed chatting with the concierge Anthony and I was pleased how housekeeping anticipated our needs.

This is an amazing property - the grounds are immaculate, with lots of stuff to do. I especially love the cafe. I have been here before and have nothing but praise for everything except the lack of variety of appealing vegetarian selections at each of their restaurants (we did not visit the steak house, so this would be the cafe, the lobby bar, and the sports bar.). Options pretty limited. Also, the light show is much less dramatic than my visit of 2 years ago. Definitely not something I'd make a point to see the way it is now. Great large bathroom in the guest rooms, great hairdryer, nice beds and tv, courteous housekeeping staff. Will definitely come again.

We went to the Gaylord to celebrate my husband's birthday. Check in was awesome. After getting settled, we decided to go downstairs to harbor social. Had an awful experience there. We could not get anyone to take our order for food. Horrible service. The gentleman that served us our drinks for some reason could not take our food order which we told him twice we were ready to order and 30 minutes later still nothing. We left and went to the lobby bar and had a wonderful experience!! Top notch service!! Also an awesome experience at the Old Hickory steakhouse!!

Room was good but needed a microwave. The breakfast stunk. $90 for two breakfasts that had COLD SCRAMBELED eggs, cold bacon and sausage. There was no hot fresh breakfast station. Terrible o pay $38 a person . No breakfast options around hotel. . Would have to get in your car and drive into Alexandria or 5-10 mile to get a fried eggs or waffles
