No frills 3* hotel in great location. We had a small double room with en-suite. Facilities basic but very clean. Decent size bed. Aircon (slightly noisy but guess just not used to it - didn’t need it much anyway at end of May). Free toiletries and coffee making etc in room, fresh towels daily. Small balcony with table and two chairs overlooking the street. Buffet breakfast had wide selection available. All staff very friendly. Excellent central location for exploring all areas of old Athens and main tourist destinations. Metro about 6 minutes walk. Hotel très bien situé, tout est faisable en 5 à 20mn à pied. Tres bonne communication dès la réservation. Navette aeroport , organisée par l hotel. Chambre nettoyée tous les jours. Personnel bienveillant, respectueux et très sympathique Petit dejeuner varié et qualitatif.

Livlig gata på kvällarna och hög musik samt skrikande till framåt 2 på natten. Tag med öronproppar! Smutsigt golv, sköna sängar men bara kanske 75cm breda och dusch för pygméer, uselt kaffe och damerna i frukostmatsalen hälsade inte ens på gästerna. Trots ”stör ej” på dörren så gick städpersonalen in i rummet. Tar 10€/tim om du vill ha rummet någon timme extra. Killarna i receptionen var supertrevliga och hjälpsamma. De är det enda som får högsta betyg. Kommer inte bo här igen. Rekommenderar mitt vanliga hotell Syngrou Fix istället!!!

Hotel com boa localização- única coisa positiva. Muitas escadas, acústica horrível. Banheiro lastimável sem lugar para colocar uma toalha .. chuveiro vazando , quarto sem um guarda roupa . Fui recebido por um profissional grosseiro mal humorado .. não recomendo. Samis do hotel com 5 malas e pelas escadas .. sem nenhuma ajuda. Beautiful hotel with a stunning view of the Acropolis! The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is in the heart of many restaurants and shopping! I’m so glad we chose the Carolina!

Hotel between 2 convenient metro stops. Very little space to put clothes if you want to unpack. No dresser drawers, just a shelf. And incredibly noisy all day and late into night! But maybe that is just Athens! View of Acropolis from balcony was nice but you had to put up with loud motorcycles and music if sitting out there. Breakfast is included - lots of choices, both hot and cold. Staff is knowledgeable about transportation options and directions.

The room was clean but I knew when everyone in the hotel went to the bathroom. It sounded like it was raining. Also, I had an interior room that had a window that opened up onto a very narrow open area which I could smell cigarettes from my fellow guests who would blow their smoke out the window. Breakfast began at 7 AM and was pretty good with the usual assortment of breakfast food, including eggs of some kind and pork of some kind.

Das Zimmer war sehr, sehr einfach eingerichtet, ohne Bodenbeläge, ohne Schranktüren, mit kaltem weissen Licht von der Decke. Die Betten waren komplett durchgelegen, und es war lärmig ohne Ende. Einerseits von der Strasse vor dem Haus bis weit nach Mitternacht, plus aus dem Treppenhaus oder dem Korridor im Hotel. Die Tür des Zimmers hat nicht richtig geschlossen, daher hat man alles, aber auch wirklich alles gehört, was sich bewegt hat. Wir konnten kaum schlafen, und können dieses Hotel beim besten Willen nicht weiter empfehlen.

Staff were wonderful except for one instance. Breakfast is awesome…. I don’t like to waste food but had an early tour and did not have enough time to finish plate…. I wrapped up a few small slices of salami and cheese (2 each ) so it would not get wasted. Staff embarrassed me by acting like I was stealing food. It was mortifying. There are cameras watching you as you eat breakfast.

Very welcoming, we were able to check in at 1am with a very tired infant without problem. Delicious breakfasts and fantastic front desk staff. Would highly recommend, and is in a great area of the city

Average hotel in a busy, noisy street. Beds are comfortable but that’s the only positive. Breakfast is depressing. There is no real coffee, just instant coffee or drip from a boiler. The worst thing was the rude guy on reception. I booked on hotels.com which says there is a 24 hour shuttle available. It turns out there is no shuttle - they just mean they’ll book you a taxi. Which is fine - but when I tried to speak to the guy about this, he kept shouting over me and telling me I was wrong. I’ve genuinely never met anyone so rude in the hospitality sector. He had literally zero customer service skills. It all could have been handled politely instead of shouting at me (for a mistake they made).

De är det enda som får högsta betyg. Kommer inte bo här igen. Rekommenderar mitt vanliga hotell Syngrou Fix istället!!!

Beautiful hotel with a stunning view of the Acropolis! The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is in the heart of many restaurants and shopping! I’m so glad we chose the Carolina!

Hotel between 2 convenient metro stops. Very little space to put clothes if you want to unpack. No dresser drawers, just a shelf. And incredibly noisy all day and late into night! But maybe that is just Athens! View of Acropolis from balcony was nice but you had to put up with loud motorcycles and music if sitting out there. Breakfast is included - lots of choices, both hot and cold. Staff is knowledgeable about transportation options and directions.

No frills 3* hotel in great location. We had a small double room with en-suite. Facilities basic but very clean. Decent size bed. Aircon (slightly noisy but guess just not used to it - didn’t need it much anyway at end of May). Free toiletries and coffee making etc in room, fresh towels daily. Small balcony with table and two chairs overlooking the street. Buffet breakfast had wide selection available. All staff very friendly. Excellent central location for exploring all areas of old Athens and main tourist destinations. Metro about 6 minutes walk. We tended to shut the balcony window at night to keep out the street noise, although that varied. Would be very happy to stay again.

The hotel is at a very convenient location in the city center. Close to both Syntagma and Monastiraki squares with lots of excitement. Walk to lots of attractions, such as Acropolis and Ancient Agora. Lots of restaurants closed by even after midnight. The staff are very friendly. 24 hour front desk service makes me feel at ease. Breakfast is nice with good variety. The only drawback is close to a bar with lots of excitement until after midnight. However, I slept well anyway. Enjoy my stay very much.

Llegamos de un viaje muy largo y la recepción fue amistosa y agradable. La zona es muy bonita llena de restaurantes, cafés y bares para todos los gustos. Caminando llegas a lo más interesante de Atenas y de fácil acceso a transporte local. Delicioso desayuno bien elaborado y bien sabor. Habitaciones limpias y confortables hacen de este hotel una magnífica opción. Son duda volvería.

The room was clean but I knew when everyone in the hotel went to the bathroom. It sounded like it was raining. Also, I had an interior room that had a window that opened up onto a very narrow open area which I could smell cigarettes from my fellow guests who would blow their smoke out the window. Breakfast began at 7 AM and was pretty good with the usual assortment of breakfast food, including eggs of some kind and pork of some kind.

Average hotel in a busy, noisy street. Beds are comfortable but that’s the only positive. Breakfast is depressing. There is no real coffee, just instant coffee or drip from a boiler. The worst thing was the rude guy on reception. I booked on hotels.com which says there is a 24 hour shuttle available. It turns out there is no shuttle - they just mean they’ll book you a taxi. Which is fine - but when I tried to speak to the guy about this, he kept shouting over me and telling me I was wrong. I’ve genuinely never met anyone so rude in the hospitality sector. Great location and very clean! The staff wasn’t the friendliest but it’s ok, you literally get a key from them and give them your key upon leaving and returning. I was surprised because I did have to pay a tax when checking in, I was surprised it wasn’t taken care of on Hotels.com. The breakfast had a lot to be desired…we have always gotten the breakfasts at the Greek hotels and were always happy with the choices. We decided to forgo the breakfast.

The location is the best thing. Staff are really nice and the hotel is really clean. It's a bit tired but that's what's makes it affordable. My only gripe was the coffee which was practically undrinkable. It would be so good if they had a decent coffee machine in the breakfast area, even if you had to pay extra. That's a small thing though. Overall it was great

The location of Hotel Carolina is great. It is in the center of everything in downtown Athens. The staff was helpful and friendly. It is a more traditional hotel which has been updated.
