At Huntsville Marriott at the Space & Rocket Center, travelers consistently praise the walkable location next to the museum and frequently note friendly staff, comfortable beds, and clean, updated rooms, though experiences vary depending on building and room assignment.

Several reviews report recurring water problems, including outages, scalding-only taps, brown water, or weak pressure. Cleanliness and maintenance feel inconsistent, with mentions of dirty or unkempt pools, bathroom hair, musty or humid rooms, stained furnishings, and occasional pests. No room service, broken ATM, limited dining with no silverware or drinks, rude staff in dining area. Nothing in the so called snack bar, no Starbucks, no staff, the staff there didn’t care and diverted everything to a different staff member, who then diverted it to another staff member. Felt like I was in the twilight zone. The air freshener made me feel sick in the hallways it was just all around horrible experience. The night time bar staff was great and the front desk on Sunday other than that I won’t be staying at a Marriott again!!

The front desk staff not friendly. Paid by 3rd party and not told anything about a city tax charge. Was going to use the pool but the bottom was filthy on the deeper end. Looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Very disappointed at the service for the price.

The Marriott was an ideal location to walk to the space center. What I did not like was having to pay for WiFi each day for each phone. Also breakfast was not included. Had all these separate fees and extra fees. We are a retired couple and did not appreciate all the added costs.

The pool was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. It took 4 requests to get new pillows for the room. Awful smell in gym on Friday morning. Could not stay in it. Limited bartending skills. Hard to find just a to go cup of ice water. The sofa in our bedroom was stained and dirty. The sign in the elevator about dining at Southern Chop was misspelled.

The bathroom did not thoroughly feel clean… There was a lot of hair on the floor… Also, there was one night where there was smoke coming out from the vents and I called the front desk to try to have someone come out and look. They told me that they will try to get someone out but they were in the middle of a shift change and would be there soon. Needless to say nobody ever showed up

The room had an odd, musty smell. I called front desk to ask if they would come and spray something while we were out, which they agreed to, but when we walked in it smelled the same. When I called front desk to enquire, they told me that the person who went in didn’t smell anything. The pool was pretty dirty. I ended up extending my stay for another night because I wasn’t feeling well, but had to do it through their website. Apparently they don’t book rooms at front desk. Two out of the 3 times I had any contact with reception, they seemed bothered by just having to speak on the phone. I’m not staying there again.

The staff was very nice. Our room was very clean. The view of the space center was magnificent. There was a problem with soup that we ordered for dinner. The chef identified the problem BEFORE serving it to us. He then made a new batch and had it ready for us to get later in the evening. Outstanding customer service by the chef.

An excellent hotel- modern, clean and well maintained. The bed was so comfortable. I could not hear any other guests from my room even though I knew the hotel was full. Food onsite was okay, the breakfast brunch was mediocre and not worth the price. Expedia offered an upcharge for "Breakfast for two" which only ended up being $10 off per person for an $18 breakfast. Expedia also losts this as having free airport shuttle and heated indoor pool, which it does not. They do have a nice outdoor pool. But no airport shuttle means I paid more to stay here than expected.

When I checked in, the hotel was overrun by a 200 + Roudy biker gang. The check in staff apologized about the noise and stated that the women with the biker gang are there for pleasure and questioned as to why I did not know about the biker gang was staying at the hotel. Concerning food on the premises she suggested either door dash in the room or go somewhere else. The reason that I picked this place is because it is directly next to the space camp for my 14-year-old son. We felt unsafe, made complaints about the 1am noise, drug use and the blaring music in the pool, near our room. I will never recommend or stay at this place again. I should have been offered to stay at a different location without a financial penalty.

We are on day 9 of a 14 day road trip. We were so happy with our room. We especially liked the bathroom. The shower and shampoos and soaps were spectacular. The hotel was in walking distance from the space and rocket center where we were visiting the next day. We stopped at the restaurant for breakfast and were terribly disappointed. All the food was cold and the quality mediocre. The price was outrageous considering the quality. When you consider that we could have paid less for a room at another hotel and had breakfast included, it was very disappointing, considering the quality we normally expect from Marriott.
