The hotel was very clean, and located with easy access on and off route 40. Restaurants were primarily downtown, about 5 miles away, but there were also some on the way in. It was odd that the swimming pool was closed for the winter on August 26. The hotel was much cleaner than many others in its price range.

Only good things to say are that the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The lady at the front was fine. However, I will never stay here again as there were vehicles blaring mariachi music driving through the parking lot at 11:30pm. There were random people coming to the hotel to do laundry that weren't staying there (I saw them leave the parking lot and go another building). The pool was empty, the ice machine was broken. It was unsafe, maybe that's all of Gallup and not the motel in particular, but I seriously drove my butt off on the way back through just to make it to Texas as I had no desire to stay in New Mexico. (Albuquerque was trashy and full of druggies too).

Our sheets were dirty from previous guests, with cheese cracker crumbs. Floor was dirty. The person who checked us in was dry and not very friendly. Spoke to the manager the next morning about the bedsheets and he seemed nice enough. Unfortunately I will not be staying here again.

My first time staying in a Motel 6 and my last time. It was horrible. The room had a very strong smell. The most horrible thing was that the two of us, sleeping on different beds, all got bedbug bites at night. In the morning, we found the mattresses were dirty and had bedbugs. The manager took it lightly and pretended it was something never happened before. But when we asked to file a bedbug incident report, he said he would handle it and they had treatments every month. Also, the area seems not safe.

Very clean new curtains, bedspread very clean, bed linens very clean, king mattress firm but very comfortable. Property is kept up. I was worried about previous security reviews but we had no issues. Security person and lots of cameras at night. Felt safe. Close to interstate. Look for signs because the property is set back from road. Fairly quiet. I would definitely stay again..I had a good experience at this property.

This place has gone downhill. The bed covers were filthy with pizza from guests before or maids, the beds were made but sheets were definitely not washed. Holes in the doors were fixed with putty. The floors had bubbles maybe water damaged? Tv sucked. Definitely will not stay there again.

Room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. Also the office employees were friendly, the rooms were in good condition and the air conditioner worked great. On th down side the WiFi is basically nonexistent the farther away from the office you are, the cable tv was grainy, and the water pressure for the shower was weak. That being said I think that for the price it was a good stay

The shower sucked! It was too small and the water pressure was very low! There were other renters who smoking pot outside and the smell came into the room. The mattress was uneven, so uncomfortable. I won’t stay here again!

Room Smelled horrible. Booked a king, was given a queen. Moved to another room, due to the smell. Second room also smelled, but not as bad. There was ZERO pressure when taking a shower, was was dripping out of the shower head. Heating unit blew hot air for about 5-10min, then blew cold air.

The shower was unusable so small you were constantly pressed against the wall or the shower head. The beds were in bad shape and had mattress protectors on them that were of poor quality. The floor hadn't been swept well and dealing with the security glass at the front and the sign in the room telling you to use both locks made you feel unsafe.

It was enough to meet my needs for a three day business stay. My only issues were the lack or outlets at the desk. In fact, I had to unplug either the lamp or refrigerator to use the microwave. Plus, there was no good lighting at the desk. Oh, there was an issue with noise my first night, with children or adolescents run around and yelling. One other thing, the mattresses were hideously uncomfortable (I.e., worn out). The staff were very kind and helpful. I have stayed at numerous Motel 6s and this one was a tad below average due to the outlet and the mattress situation.

My first disappointment with the Motel 6 in Gallup is that they said they had absolutely no record of my having made a reservation. Consequently, I had to take a room on the 2nd floor, which they apparently use as their overflow. It was late, so I figured I'd take what I could get. When I tried to pay for my room, I tried to pay in cash. The clerk then pointed to a handwritten sign posted on their check in window that requested that if I was going to pay in cash, I had to have the correct change.I confess I was shocked that they wouldn't accept cash payment. What if I hadn't had an available credit card? Would I have been out of luck? The check in person was rude and condescending, I suppose knowing at that time of night, on a Friday night, I didn't have much choice. This was, undoubtedly and indisputably the worst hotel experience I've had in my life. I would never return to this hotel.
