I booked this room the day we were to arrive. We arrived around 8:30 at night. We were informed the elevator doors would not open on our floor. As my husband has a knee problem climbing stairs is painful. We requested a room on a floor where the elevator worked and were told no rooms were available. Consequently we had to manage the stairs. The room was in horrible condition. Filthy carpets, broken furniture and lights that did not work. When we checked out in the morning we spoke to a young woman who said she was a manager and told her what happened. She stated she called me on Friday to inform us of the elevator. We did not book the room until Saturday. She then informed us if we had a complaint why didn’t we say something the night before and stay somewhere else. I do not recommend this hotel. It has a rating of 8 which is why I chose it but it clearly was a 3 at best.

The rooms were bigger than a normal hotel. Staff were awesome. They have their own restaurant pub the food was phenomenal. I recommend the salmon bowl and the apple crisp. My kids had a great time. Parking is very limited though with no clear markings for where else you can park. But overall I will definitely be staying here in the future.

Very homely, historic and right at cross-roads. It is difficult for one without USA phone because the staff one needs to call. We were practically locked in the first night as there was no indication of how the door worked. No one is around at night. Elevator does not work.

Stayed in the executive room. Very clean, rustic feel, wall paper everywhere, huge bathroom. It looks exactly how you see in the photos so don’t expect an ultra modern room. Unfortunately the room next to mine had a dog with them which was most definitely NOT a service animal. Shower was also plugged up, but hey, the toilet and tub works. Restaurant has good food. The pub in the basement is the place to be around 9pm.

The staff is very friendly the food is excellent everything is well kept up nice and neat I enjoyed it this is one of the best hotel we've been at ps. The parking is not easy I think it's unfair that the people who eat in the restaurant park next to the hotel you should Reserve that for guests who are paying to stay there

We were only there one night - the room was fine but in the morning, no one was at the desk, a sign said breakfast 7-10 am but the door was locked. At 7:30 the front door was still locked. Other guests were wandering around looking for breakfast. We had factored in breakfast there - because there really isn't any other place to eat that is convenient and the lack of communication was frustrating.

Staff were great & helpful. Received a call that elevator was out of order, but not before I had already left home. So getting another hotel wasn’t an option because of weekend. Used back steps to take luggage up 4 floors. Ugh! I didn’t feel the room I had was clean. I accidentally spilled water on my slippers & had to go barefoot & my feet were so dirty from the rug. I had to wash before going to sleep. I’m home now & even the things in my suitcase I felt I had to wash. Ceiling has numerous water stains. Refrigerator didn’t work. Breakfast was poor. Not much variety & purchase from Walmart. Containers for water, juices & milk weren’t clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Cozy, spacious room. Very comfortable. Disliked parking for guests. Too far away to lug your things. Close parking was used by restaurant patrons. Another dislike was the elevator was broken. Steps are pretty steep for seniors.

My kids picked this hotel because the cover photo looks spooky. It wasn't. It is very old, the elevator is so slow we just took the stairs. When we arrived to check in, there was no staff and a sign that said they stepped away. Eventually a young woman from the bar helped us and was able to check us in by calling someone and they walked her through it. That was weird but the room itself was clean, comfortable and our floor had a little bookshelf and sitting area, next to a table with free coffee and water. Soda machine drinks only $2. I requested 2 rollaway cots, and they were already in the room, set up and ready to be slept in. There's a bar off of the lobby and complimentary breakfast- bagels, oatmeal, granola bars, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, pastries.... only issue was parking filled up and we weren't sure if we could use the lot access the street because it had a no trespassing sign. Other than the limited parking, this was a nice stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The housekeeping manager was delightful and very helpful. The restaurant on site was good. Coffee bar on the 2nd floor -- yum! Negative comment--the bathroom is quite dated and the breakfast bar was basically muffins and cereal.

This quaint beautiful old hotel has several resturaunts and pubs, because we booked online, we were delegated to a room on the 2nd floor. The elevator doesnt stop on the second floor. The room was large The carpet was dirty, you had to turn sideways to get past the bathroom sink to go use the toilet. Tile was missing from the floor. The short single sink vanity had a chip on the side. The bathroom appeared to have been installed in the 1980s. The mattresses felt like they were even older. My friend booked through the hotel, she got a room on the 4th floor, with nice much newer mattress. Spacious sitting area and large bathroom with double sink.we chose this hotel because my husband had stayed here about a month ago. At that time the elevator didnt stop at the second floor. He enjoyed the restaurant and the pub.

Beautiful old building but the rooms were not in good shape. Because we booked on line we were delegated to the 2nd floor, the elevator doesnt stop on the second floor. Our companions booked theough the hotel and were given a much more recently updated room on the 4th floor. The carpeting in the hall was decent but the carpet in our room was dirty, and very old the mattresses were awful. The bathroome floor was missing tile and the sink had a chip in the cabinet. You had to turn sideways to get passed the incredibly short vanity to get to the toilet. I think this room was probably redone in the 70s or 80s. Would not recommend.

When we were checking in, there was a hole in the ceiling of the lobby that was dripping on us. The rooms were extremely dirty. Air vents were black and filthy. Someone’s old food was left in one of our room’s refrigerators and a used tissue and wrapper was left in our other room by the nightstand. The whole place smelled old and musty.

This building could be beautiful if it was kept in good condition. The room was not clean, rips in furniture, furniture in room was not dusted. Shower door didn’t slide on the track, tub around door has not been cleaned. Stains on the tiles on the ceiling, mattress leaned downhill. Pros: The staircase was beautiful, the food and service in the restaurant were both exceptional. Nice employees with everyone we met. The place just needs a good scrubbing and updates to the furnishings and fixtures. If the things that needed updating were antiques or original to the building, I would understand, but none of the things we saw were antiques, mostly form the 80’s.

It was mostly a nice experience but you can tell that the hotel is quite old. Things felt clean but there was lots of grime and peeling paint on the walls and the ceiling. The bed was very nice but the stains on the bed frame under the mattress were questionable. Overall it was pretty good for the price.

The room was very clean and quiet. The restaurant had delicious food and was perfect after a long day. Parking in the main lot is tough but there is a second lot right across the street. The continental breakfast was nice and convenient. There wasn't a hairdryer and I forgot to bring mine. Other than my mistake the room was perfect. We definitely plan on staying again.

Shower fan is VERY moldy, not all lights worked in the room. Ceiling covered in leaks. I didn’t expect much from breakfast, just wanted a cup of coffee and a piece of fruit. Milk served went bad, coffee was ruined. Eggs didn’t taste fresh either. I don’t know how this place got 8.2 stars. Maybe 5/10, with a big stretch

The positive was the room was very large. The negatives were the beds/mattresses were very uncomfortable, there was lots of noise from trucks driving by at all hours of the night, the walls were very thin so we heard a guy next door talking and coughing at 5 in the morning, the wallpaper was peeling, the heat lamp in the bathroom did not work and the food in the restaurant was adequate at best.

First time here for an overnight trip. Overall a clean place. It is dated 1980’s wallpaper. However, the mattress needs to be replaced. It was not comfortable. I could feel the springs. Also, the jetted tub was not working and appears to have been that way for a while. I would stay again minus the old mattress.

We chose this place because it was close to family we were there to see and the only hotel in the town. When we arrived there was no one at the desk for check in. Had to wait a few minutes. Our room was quaint, but clearly out dated and could use some improvements. The bed wasn’t that comfortable for me so I didn’t sleep well. The parking lot is small but there is another lot in the next block, so a short walk. In the basement level of the place is a bar, so the parking lot was full when we returned from our family’s house. Not sure about the continental breakfast, but a family member said it was inedible, so we went to Wimpy & Dees diner down the street which was great! Our stay was ok, but sorry to say we will probably not return.

In the basement level of the place is a bar, so the parking lot was full when we returned from our family’s house. Not sure about the continental breakfast, but a family member said it was inedible, so we went to Wimpy & Dees diner down the street which was great! Our stay was ok, but sorry to say we will probably not return.

I booked this room the day we were to arrive. We arrived around 8:30 at night. We were informed the elevator doors would not open on our floor. As my husband has a knee problem climbing stairs is painful. We requested a room on a floor where the elevator worked and were told no rooms were available. Consequently we had to manage the stairs. The room was in horrible condition. Filthy carpets, broken furniture and lights that did not work. When we checked out in the morning we spoke to a young woman who said she was a manager and told her what happened. She stated she called me on Friday to inform us of the elevator. We did not book the room until Saturday. She then informed us if we had a complaint why didn’t we say something the night before and stay somewhere else. I do not recommend this hotel. It has a rating of 8 which is why I chose it but it clearly was a 3 at best.

We've stayed here several times and always like it. It's an older hotel, but well maintained and clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I also appreciate that their roll away beds for kids are comfortable memory foam.

We were only there one night - the room was fine but in the morning, no one was at the desk, a sign said breakfast 7-10 am but the door was locked. At 7:30 the front door was still locked. Other guests were wandering around looking for breakfast. My kids picked this hotel because the cover photo looks spooky. It wasn't. It is very old, the elevator is so slow we just took the stairs. When we arrived to check in, there was no staff and a sign that said they stepped away. Eventually a young woman from the bar helped us and was able to check us in by calling someone and they walked her through it. That was weird but the room itself was clean, comfortable and our floor had a little bookshelf and sitting area, next to a table with free coffee and water. Soda machine drinks only $2. I requested 2 rollaway cots, and they were already in the room, set up and ready to be slept in. There's a bar off of the lobby and complimentary breakfast- bagels, oatmeal, granola bars, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, pastries.... only issue was parking filled up and we weren't sure if we could use the lot access the street because it had a no trespassing sign. Other than the limited parking, this was a nice stay.

I realize this property is quite an old property. However, I don’t believe it is being kept up. It is quite dusty all throughout the halls and the hotel. The front desk assistant’s answer to my “can we get a first floor room”, was “we are full and you get what you get.” She did not say it in a rude tone, however, that is not a way to respond to a customer.

Located in center of town but right on a main junction and my room was about 30 ft from the main traffic light junction in the town. Heard all the traffic all night. Breakfast was adequate but need to update and repair some basics in the rooms and common areas. Toilet didn’t flush well. Tables all wobble terribly. Nice outdoor garden area. This is a lovely old hotel that has been around for more than 150 years. Walking down the stairs in the front hall, I imagined all those who have walked before me. The location is central to horse and buggy traffic so prepare for a step back in time! The staff is friendly and helpful in every way. I look forward to my next visit to Honey Brook and Waynesbrook Inn!

This was my first time staying in the Honey Brook area, and I loved the small town and unique, quaint Waynebrook. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The building had some issues with leaking ceilings in one of the common areas, but it is an old place, and things happen. It is on the corner of the main road, so occasionally you would hear some road noise, but nothing too disturbing. I would definitely recommend and I will stay here again if I am in the area. Thank you, Waynebrook Inn, for a great weekend.

It was convenient and easy to get to. It was quiet too. There is a pub downstairs that I didn't care for. The beds were not very comfortable and the room was not very clean. For example, the floors in the bathroom seemed dirty. The staff were excellent. So nice and helpful.

The rooms were bigger than a normal hotel. Staff were awesome. They have their own restaurant pub the food was phenomenal. I recommend the salmon bowl and the apple crisp. My kids had a great time. Parking is very limited though with no clear markings for where else you can park. But overall I will definitely be staying here in the future.

My friend and I booked this for a last minute trip, and I think we stumbled across a hidden gem! It was comfortable and clean, and the water pressure in the shower was to die for! We loved the basement bar and outside patio area connected to it. We will definitely be back!

Staff were great & helpful. Received a call that elevator was out of order, but not before I had already left home. So getting another hotel wasn’t an option because of weekend. Used back steps to take luggage up 4 floors. Ugh! I didn’t feel the room I had was clean. I accidentally spilled water on my slippers & had to go barefoot & my feet were so dirty from the rug. I had to wash before going to sleep. I’m home now & even the things in my suitcase I felt I had to wash. Ceiling has numerous water stains. Refrigerator didn’t work. Breakfast was poor. Not much variety & purchase from Walmart. Containers for water, juices & milk weren’t clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.

HORRIBLE PLACE! DO NOT stay here! Elevator is broken to 2nd floor. Smelled everywhere. The floor and toilet were literally crooked/tilted. Handprints and dirt on walls and ceilings. Lumpy bed. Was not worth it. Breakfast was seriously just some prepackaged muffins.

Beautiful historic hotel, which has maintained the integrity of its history by using interiordesign from the period. Also by using antique furniture and adding classic pieces that blend nicely. Bedrooms and bath were clean and well maintained. Lola and staff we’re very attentive to our needs. Lovely continental breakfast out in the sunroom every morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again.
