Scott and Lisa were great hosts. They were very responsive and I enjoyed talking with each of them while we were there. We were concerned about driving their in our Tesla but they have a couple of RV Hookups right at the cabin that allowed us to quickly charge (about 30 miles of range for each hour), which gave us peace of mind and got us back on the road with no issues. Thank you guys.
Scott and Lisa were great hosts. They were very responsive and I enjoyed talking with each of them while we were there. It was a good experience overall! We really liked the back porch and fire pit set up. The location is set back in the woods which provided the privacy and quiet that we wanted. The beds were comfortable and the size of the bathroom was appreciated! The hosts were responsive and nice. We had some furry visitors at times in the form of dogs and a kitten. They were so sweet and polite beggars too. My dad fell in love with the kitten. Our only big complaint was the lack of privacy inside the house with the odd, sliding barn style doors. You could see through cracks in the doors at night and into the bathroom from the kitchen, even with the bathroom door "closed". We would stay here again, but probably not with another couple soley due to the lack of privacy inside.

Lots of great features and some could use improvement on. Pros: keyless entry, great private backyard space, concrete slab, fire pit with chairs, charcoal grill, picnic table, large bathroom with separate toilet & laundry, kitchen was mostly stocked, beds comfortable & 2 mini split AC units, internet worked. Friendly hosts. Cons: that picnic table was filthy, sticky & still had [dessert] sprinkles on it from previous guests, flies were horrible as you are next to the horse stables so sitting out there wasn’t enjoyable, we had 2 spoons for the 4 of us and a few forks (plenty of other utensils). The sliding barn door for the bathroom isn’t on a track & there’s quite the gap, not very private. No privacy shades on the east windows/entry door which faces the campground. The drive to the cabin is a rough, long dirt road, just be prepared for that. Don’t get me started on the early morning dog howling & constant barking from the puppy mill up the road. Obviously not the owners fault but you should be aware. Finally, their cleanup expectations were a bit much for the amount of money we paid (200/night). We had to strip all the bed linens including the mattress pads & pile everything on the couch, mop & vacuum the cabin (what on earth?!?), clean the oven & glass top cooker and empty all the trash. Some of these expectations are normal but vacuum & mop?Overall, We were close to the current river, had a great outdoor space, pretty well stocked, friendly hosts & felt safe.

The property was great! The cabin waas so cute and clean in a secluded area outside Eminence There was the cutest outpost on site ran by owners so if you want a drink, ice cream, pizza, or snack you didn't have to drive into town. The owners were very nice and had quick communication. We will be back.

We spent 2 nights at the ranch house and it was perfect for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. They just opened an outpost for trail riders with a bar and nice outdoor area. The house contained all the essentials and was very comfortable. We did a float on Saturday and then an early trail ride with the owner Sunday before we left. My daughter loves horses so she was excited to see all the trail riders and their horses that stoped at the outpost! The location is still very quiet and the view of the stars at night was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, secluded tiny house tucked into the Ozark hills on a working horse ranch. We were lucky to be there when a large trail ride was passing through and got to watch riders come by all day. Very helpful hosts gave us our space but were available to assist with anything if needed. Bonus: ice cream was awesome!

Property was the cleanest the interior design and decor were the best I have ever stayed at in the Eminence area. Scott and Lisa were great hosts and the additional amenity's of the new Whisky River Bar along with food from Shortys Rolling Grill not to mention horseback riding and horse stalls for your own really make this a one stop destination. We will back.

My friend and I stayed in the tiny house in June 2024 and I brought 1 horse with me to ride on the trails. The tiny house is super clean, it was very well made and decorated. Everything works and it’s nice to have a coffee maker there, pots and pans, kitchen utensils etc. All bedding is provided. The horse stalls very very safe and clean. There is over 300 miles of horse trails accessible from camp. We’ll be back!!

Despite the constant, drenching rain, I enjoyed my quiet solitude retreat. The picture made me think it was more isolated than it is (there are other cabins and the trail-riding stables right across the road), but given the weather and time of year, I pretty much had the place to myself. The cabin itself is tiny, but very clean and well supplied. The hosts are very friendly and responsive and I would highly recommend if you’re in the area. The dirt road in May be a little intimidating for a small car, but was no problem for my Outback, despite the rainy conditions and minor rain runoff damage.

Our overall immediate impression was how clean and well organized everything was in such a tiny spot. We stayed at the Bunk House. It had a large back deck. When sitting there we could see the horses and spent much time just watching them graze. So quiet and serene! It is definitely for people who want to escape to the country life! You are not totally out in the woods, though, because Eminence is not too far away. We will definitely be back! We will probably try one of the other cabins as we had just a little bit of trouble because, as seniors, we had a little trouble getting in and out of the bunk bed. All in all, it is a wonderful place and we have nothing but appreciation for Lisa and Scott and their hospitality! Thank you so much, we’ll be back!

Great clean place! Great location out away from people but a short drive to town. We had a nice quiet stay. Very handy they had everything we needed for cooking and any other needs. The hosts are very friendly and assured us if we needed anything to just call. We Had plenty of sights to see in the area and we plan to visit again soon!

The Bunkhouse was nice. Pretty small but big enough for 2 adults. I wouldn’t try to squeeze anyone else in. Futon is very small. Unfortunately we lost power every time it rained & numerous power surges all week long. It was pitch black when out but luckily we had two small flashlights to help us find our way around. I recommend the host put a lantern or something in the cabin or at least offer some sort of light if power goes out. We had trouble with the coded lock on the door. Got locked out. No grill or picnic table was located by our cabin. We had very little interaction with host. Overall it was a cute cabin. It was clean. The Whiskey Saloon was never open. Their 3 dogs were sweethearts. The National Riverway is absolutely gorgeous!

I am 70 and did just fine going up very small steps to go to bed. 90% of my friends could not have climbed a ladder or the steps with a railing a few inches tall. This should be a warning for anyone renting this. We did fine, there were no problems except I felt the owner did not want me to bother them.

The pry was the sleeping accommodation. We were told that there were two lofts, one with a ladder and one with stairs. Unfortunately my wife was not able to sleep in the bed because you had to crawl to reach the bed by the ceiling was so low. It was dangerous for me and I am a mobile retired person. We stayed two nights of the four we paid, couldn’t stand the thought of another night.

Scott and Lisa were great hosts. They were very responsive and I enjoyed talking with each of them while we were there. We were concerned about driving their in our Tesla but they have a couple of RV Hookups right at the cabin that allowed us to quickly charge (about 30 miles of range for each hour), which gave us peace of mind and got us back on the road with no issues. Thank you guys.

The property was great! The cabin waas so cute and clean in a secluded area outside Eminence There was the cutest outpost on site ran by owners so if you want a drink, ice cream, pizza, or snack you didn't have to drive into town. The owners were very nice and had quick communication. We will be back.

Our stay was wonderful. The peace and tranquility of this place allows you to decompress completely. The spirit of the Lord resides here. The horses were beautiful and even the snow that fell was like God dressing the trees. We can't wait to return! The owner stayed in contact throughout our stay and the caretaker Adam was very accommodating!

The Host despises communication, if you have any questions, inquiries, or even concerns forget it. She's very rude and snappy! If you're looking for a cozy friendly stay, this isn't it. We've stayed here once before and she was the same way, this last experience after contacting her about changing our stay due to inclement weather was the final straw. She's the type of Host that cares NOTHING about providing customer care to her clients. So if you book here, plane to have NO questions or concerns or even inquiries on ANYTHING! I strongly recommend booking elsewhere with more friendly, homely, vibes. Also, access to the cabins is on rough terrain. You'll likely need an SUV or Truck, I wouldn't recommend a car. You're best bet is to choose another locatoin!

We had so much fun. The hosts were amazing. The food at the whiskey river outpost was delicious. My kids loved the tiny house so much that they wanted to buy it and bring it home with us so we could live in it.

Great clean place! Great location out away from people but a short drive to town. We had a nice quiet stay. Very handy they had everything we needed for cooking and any other needs. The hosts are very friendly and assured us if we needed anything to just call. We Had plenty of sights to see in the area and we plan to visit again soon!

It was a good experience overall! We really liked the back porch and fire pit set up. The location is set back in the woods which provided the privacy and quiet that we wanted. The beds were comfortable and the size of the bathroom was appreciated! The hosts were responsive and nice. We had some furry visitors at times in the form of dogs and a kitten. They were so sweet and polite beggars too. My dad fell in love with the kitten. Our only big complaint was the lack of privacy inside the house with the odd, sliding barn style doors. You could see through cracks in the doors at night and into the bathroom from the kitchen, even with the bathroom door "closed". We would stay here again, but probably not with another couple soley due to the lack of privacy inside.

Its not secluded!! the bar is right accross property, just turn around you'd see and hear it. The residents are in the same location, you will see people, horses, dogs. If you don't mind that is the spot. There's several horse stalls that house horses for events and what not. Smells of poops all day. We were out all day long so it didn't matter. Its fun if you are not there to be alone!!

Despite the constant, drenching rain, I enjoyed my quiet solitude retreat. The picture made me think it was more isolated than it is (there are other cabins and the trail-riding stables right across the road), but given the weather and time of year, I pretty much had the place to myself. The cabin itself is tiny, but very clean and well supplied. The hosts are very friendly and responsive and I would highly recommend if you’re in the area. The dirt road in May be a little intimidating for a small car, but was no problem for my Outback, despite the rainy conditions and minor rain runoff damage.

We loved the scenery. Traveling up the mountain road and all the way down to the current river. Absolutely loved the craftsmanship of the cabin. It was beautiful. Owners were accessible if needed and gave great suggestions on places to visit.

The Bunkhouse was nice. Pretty small but big enough for 2 adults. I wouldn’t try to squeeze anyone else in. Futon is very small. Unfortunately we lost power every time it rained & numerous power surges all week long. It was pitch black when out but luckily we had two small flashlights to help us find our way around. I recommend the host put a lantern or something in the cabin or at least offer some sort of light if power goes out. We had trouble with the coded lock on the door. Got locked out. No grill or picnic table was located by our cabin. We had very little interaction with host. Overall it was a cute cabin. It was clean. The Whiskey Saloon was never open. Their 3 dogs were sweethearts. The National Riverway is absolutely gorgeous!

We spent 2 nights at the ranch house and it was perfect for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. They just opened an outpost for trail riders with a bar and nice outdoor area. The house contained all the essentials and was very comfortable. We did a float on Saturday and then an early trail ride with the owner Sunday before we left. My daughter loves horses so she was excited to see all the trail riders and their horses that stoped at the outpost! The location is still very quiet and the view of the stars at night was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, secluded tiny house tucked into the Ozark hills on a working horse ranch. We were lucky to be there when a large trail ride was passing through and got to watch riders come by all day. Very helpful hosts gave us our space but were available to assist with anything if needed. Bonus: ice cream was awesome!

Property was the cleanest the interior design and decor were the best I have ever stayed at in the Eminence area. Scott and Lisa were great hosts and the additional amenity's of the new Whisky River Bar along with food from Shortys Rolling Grill not to mention horseback riding and horse stalls for your own really make this a one stop destination. We will back.

Exactly as described. Enjoyed walks with our dog down the quiet country road to the pretty creek. Very safe being off leash. Enjoyed kayaking with Windy outfitters just a few miles away. The town is also a few miles away with gas, groceries, eating places. Everyone is so friendly in Missouri! (We are from Illinois). Recommend the Pie Barn in town too. If you enjoy cooking you might bring some sharp knives, maybe a big pot and some dish towels. The hosts provide only one dish cloth and one dish towel but were accommodating and sent extra towels the next day. Our dog enjoyed himself playing with the hosts’ dogs and meeting horses for the first time. If interested guided trail rides can be booked separately. Would enjoy coming again.

We are not horse people! However this place was so cool! We def enjoyed our stay! It’s off the beaten path (and it’s beaten!) but only about ten minutes to town. We were able to take our dogs with us and we loved that. It is a dog friendly ranch. We took our golden on the float and she had a blast! So did we the water and sites are amazing there! The cabin had a front porch seating area as well as a large back patio area! It was wooded, peaceful and the fire pit was amazing! You can get firewood and ice on site for a fee!! That’s super handy. We went with Windy’s for our float and they picked us up and dropped us off. The cabin was decorated super cute and stocked with just about everything you would need to cook a meal. The ac and all other appliances worked well! Lisa was an amazing host. I would recommend booking if you are looking for place to stay with your horses and or dogs.

This is located outside of town away from the crowds but still close enough to run into town for supplies. The road leading off the highway back to the cabin is gravel with some hills but no problems with a suv or 4x4 truck. Enjoyed visiting with owner at their watering hole the first night!!!
