This property was perfect for our weekend getaway to Chattanooga. The kiddos loved the bunk beds and all the toys/games that the house provided. They also loved the playground that was right across the street!

We loved Kathy’s cottage. It had all the amenities, a fun backyard, and a great place to play across the street. Also, Tammi‘s gardens are absolutely gorgeous. It was so easy to get to all the Chattanooga attractions from this location.

Very convenient and beautiful home. Had everything we look for in a mountain trip, from fire place indoor and outdoor fire pit, easy access, washer/dryer/dishwasher/grill.

This was perfect for our family. Tammy the host thought of everything. She has toys for kids of all ages. No need to pack up so much for a baby just ask her she provides so much. The homes she has are beautifully decorated. Very clean. It’s like your home away from home. She has a playground across the street for kids and other activities. She loves her flowers and the yards are beautiful. The fenced in yard in the back was great for our dog. Book this without hesitation. Thank you so much for everything. We are so glad you came to personally meet us. You rock!

We stayed in this house last fall with some friends when visiting our boys at McCallie. We decided it would be perfect for graduation. It’s so close to school and also convenient to downtown. The house is very well-appointed. The front porch is great. We didn’t take advantage of the back yard, but it looks great also. Everything was very clean and well-kept. Check-in and communication were great.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was perfect clean and well stocked for our family gathering. The fire pit was a family favorite in the evening.

The property is so close to everything there is to do in Chattanooga. I think the farthest we traveled was 15 miles away and that was Lookout Mountain. The house was spotless, roomy, and oh so cozy! They offer games and a beautiful garden to walk through. If you have kids, there is a playground across the street. The house is equipped with everything you need for the stay. We will definitely be back, it was so good for our souls! Thank you so much Tammy for allowing us to stay at your beautiful house, we loved every single minute!!!!

We stayed at Kathy's Kottage for 3 weeks for our "live like locals" trip to Chattanooga. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodations. The location is close to everything you want or need. We especially loved being near the Southside historic district. The home is comfortably furnished, thoughtfully decorated, and fully equipped for all your needs (not to mention, meticulously cleaned upon our arrival!). We enjoyed sitting on the front porch taking in the view of the mountains and the lush greenery on this pretty street. We also made use of the grill on the side deck, and our dogs loved running around the fenced back yard. An unexpected surprise was being able to wander around Tammy's beautiful property right across the street. I highly recommend Kathy's Kottage for your visit to Chattanooga!

We were extremely impressed with this house from the moment we drove up clear through the minute we drove off. It is simply gorgeous and inviting at the same time! The first thing you see is an inviting out front porch sitting area with cushions that seem to say “Come sit and relax”. The area around the house is beautiful and peaceful… always felt safe! Tammy came over the next day to introduce herself and see if we needed anything. A very delightful hostess! Very friendly and informative. The house is beautifully furnished… well decorated and it’s obvious that a lot of love and planning was put into decorating this house. The rooms are spaced out nicely. We had 4 adults an one 14 year old man child who loved the room with the stacked double beds! Tammy supplies everything that you could ever think you might possibly need and I seriously mean that… we wanted for nothing! It was also very clean and well taken care of. My family and our good family friends stayed here as a mini vacation! We took the kids to the zoo and the children museum! We also loved the fire pit. The kids loved roasting marshmallows!

We traveled from both coasts for a Celebration of Life in Chattanooga, and this beautiful home provided a much-needed sanctuary. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt a sense of peace and warmth. The Kottage was impeccably clean, thoughtfully decorated, and exceptionally well-equipped. The fully stocked kitchen, which became a central gathering point for our family, allowed us to prepare traditional family recipes, providing a sense of normalcy during a difficult time. We were especially grateful for the pet-friendly policy and the secure, fenced backyard, allowing our four-legged family member to be with us without exorbitant fees. The location offered the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility, with easy access to major roads and grocery stores, yet far enough removed to allow for quiet reflection.Tammy, the owner/property manager, was responsive and thoughtful to messages and on the day of arrival, popped by for a quick minute to ensure we had everything we needed. Kathy's Kottage offered more than just a place to stay; it provided a haven of comfort and support during a challenging time. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Chattanooga.

We booked this house for a family of 8 (3 generations) to stay in while going to Ruby Falls and the Tennessee Aquarium/IMAX theater. It was perfect. It was close to both attractions. The house was clean, cozy, warm, had plenty of towels, and the kitchen was well-stocked. There were toys for the littles that they really enjoyed plus games, puzzles (we only got 1 500-pc one done!) and books for eveyone else. It even snow showered this morning before we left!

The houses around it are newly updated and the area feels safe. The owner lives across the street and took a minute to chat with us as we were leaving one morning. The inside of the house is decorated well with modern fixtures and amenities. The rooms are a good size so everyone had room to spread out and get comfortable. Our stay was right before Christmas and the Christmas decorations gave it a nice ambience. We cooked 2 meals and had everything we needed on hand. We didn't bring our dogs with us but liked that it was set up for those that bring their furbabies. This is on our list of places to stay when we visit our son and his new wife in Chattanooga. Highly recommend!

Kathy's Kottage was a wonderful place to stay. It was spacious and had everything that we needed. There was games (cards and board games), kids/infant equipment, grooming essentials and plenty of other extra blankets and pillows if we needed them. Loved staying here.

Kathy’s Kottage was exactly what we needed for our 4-day family visit to Chattanooga! The house was so homey and cozy and you could tell a lot of effort was put into decorating and adding nice little touches. The house was a perfect home base for our outings to the Aquarium, Coolidge Park, Duckboats, Rock City, Ruby Falls, and nearby restaurants.Just an FYI for others that the house is close to the highway so when outside on the porch you’ll hear the passing traffic. And on occasion from inside you can hear 18-wheelers downshifting. This didn’t bother us at all and didn’t impact our visit but just wanted to include it so others are aware.

We were so surprised with the beautiful Christmas lights when we pulled up to the house. It's so lovely both inside and out, but Tammy really goes the extra mile with little touches to make it feel very warm and homey. We loved the layout of the house too! It flows really well and the front porch is awesome and we spent a great deal of time there (thanks to a warm New Year's weekend). We brought our dog too and he enjoyed the back fenced-in yard. We visited Lookout Mountain and learned a lot of history. In December and January, the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge hosts flocks of Sandhill Cranes. It's worth the trip about an hour north. Be sure to go near sunset to see the birds flying back for the evening. The one place we ate out was lunch at the burger bar on the old riverboat. Excellent burgers and fries and gorgeous views of the river! Be prepared at the house for visits each morning from the guinea hens. They are so beautiful They strayed into the backyard when our dog was there one time and barely escaped. LOL We chatted with Tammy and her cute little furball pup one morning as well. She is very nice and accessible across the street if you need her. The only negative is the interstate just above the house which made it noisy at times, but it was still very peaceful otherwise. The neighborhood is in an area where a lot of refurbishing is happening, but the block where the house is located at along with the other properties is very nice and you feel like you are way out in a subburb. Our dog is very skittish of noises and motorcycle and truck noises scare him, so we didn't always get as much time out of him in the yard as we'd like. It was also NYE and fireworks in TN are legal, so it's crazy and really cool seeing all the fireworks going off all over the town below. We put our dog in a thundershirt in a room and cranked up the YouTube Ocean noises and he crashed out while we went outside and watched the fireworks. If you are looking for a place that's comfortable and feels like home and are good with a little noise from the highway from time to time, this is perfect for you. We would definitely stay here again!

Our cottage was cozy and had everything we needed plus some! Loved the cute touches to the property and the closeness to the highway. Loved being able to sit on the front porch and watch the lightening bugs. We will be back!

One of the most thought out rentals we’ve stayed at!! And trust me, we stay at a lot with travel soccer and for vacations. My 3 year old LOVED the toy closet, the potty training seats, and swing set. I loved the little details like the history of the house book, qtips and cotton balls in the bathroom ( because who doesn’t forget to pack those), and restaurant menus. Super convenient location. And the owner was GREAT with communication and even stopped by for a friendly chat. I loved hearing about the history of the area and her beautiful job of bringing back the entire street to life! Will for sure stay here again when in the area!

We booked Kathy’s Kottage for my sister’s bachelorette trip. We all loved the layout of the house and had plenty of room for all 7 girls. There was lots of essentials available for use. We were also close to anything downtown. Everywhere we went was about a 10 minute drive.

I have stayed in lots of rentals but this one was absolutely the best equipped I’ve ever stayed in. When we walked in the door, it looked like a true home. Everything you could think of was there. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, blankets, throws, etc. There were also games, books toys, just about anything you could want for your kids. On top of that everything was clean and well organized. The kitchen was very well equipped for any thing you would like to cook. Even included lots of pantry, basics, such as coffee and creamer, condiments, flour, sugar, foil and plastic wrap. Tammy has thought of everything and supplied it for you.
