What guests think

Motel 6-Lawrenceville, NJ is a basic, budget stop that offers fair value for short stays, though experiences vary widely by building, room assignment, and staff interaction, and expectations should match a no-frills motel.

Rooms are often spacious or recently refreshed, but several reviews cite thin or connecting doors, door-slamming, muggy air, and loud AC that can disturb rest. Service is split between friendly, helpful interactions and complaints about rudeness, poor problem handling, and one serious privacy incident involving a key given to the wrong person. Amenities are limited: guests report no breakfast, a closed pool, Wi-Fi or TV hiccups, and no elevator, though on-site laundry and keyed building access are available in some areas. The location is convenient for Princeton and area attractions, but a few mention shady activity and mixed safety, so expect a straightforward, budget-focused stay.

The sheets were dirty, so we stripped the beds and used the blankets we bought with us for the car ride. The tub was dirty, but the water was literally boiling hot… so I cleaned it. There’s also no elevator so u have to take the stairs with your luggage. I would not recommend or return.

Not too friendly at the front desk. Too strict about not allowing early check-in. TV remote not working consistently (brought to Front Desk when checking out). On the other hand: Washer and dryer, and room's air conditioning all excellent.

Basic accommodation. Internet and cleanliness good, TV reception spotty. Biggest negative is the lack of privacy. All rooms with two beds are connected to the next guest room by an access door with no sound insulation. You hear everything as if they were in your own room.

ive stayed here before and really liked it. i have given good reviews. This last time, i was given a room that was connected to another through a door that was not secured. The people staying in that room were loud and lacked common sense. Kept slamming their door all night and morning. Screaming and at some point I could hear them trying to open the doors that separated our roms. i couldn't sleep, couldn't watch tv. it was a terrible experience. i asked the guy at the front desk to give me another room and he wouldn't. i literally must have been put in the worst side of the property. one i had not been or seen before. hopefully with this review they will hear the requests from people staying there. if something bothers me or anyone in general, the hotel staff should at least try to accommodate its visitors. Not everyone likes a loud and trashy environment. At least try. There is a lady at the front desk when i checked in other occasions and she has been truly nice and understanding of what I wanted. Too bad she wasn't there that evening. I like the place otherwise. it wa just that one night. No connected rooms for me please Motel 6
