American Heritage Inn

What guests think

Across recent reviews, American Heritage Inn is consistently described as clean, quiet, and staffed by friendly people, with many guests finding the rooms comfortable, though the property feels older and could use updates in places.

Beds receive mixed feedback, and multiple comments note a basic or skimpy breakfast. Several reviews mention an older, dated feel with occasional maintenance issues, plus pool closures or a poorly kept pool area. Location is convenient off the highway and near dining, but some guests found the entrance hard to locate due to limited signage. Expect a straightforward, no-frills stay.

Super basic room. Two queen beds, full size shower. Bathroom counter had a TON of chips in it, yellow staining around the sink drain. All of the towels had holes in them. There were only two outlets in the entire room, one in the bathroom and one behind the microwave. We were looking forward to using the pool but it was closed the entire stay without warning. Front desk receptionist was friendly.

I liked the walking path behind the hotel. However to access it you need to walk on the side of the hotel which has many mole spots making it harder to walk .

The hotel said I did not have a reservation (I did) that I hadn’t paid (I had) and that there were no rooms availability. I showed him my paid reservation on my phone and he said there were still no rooms. While he called someone he handed me keys to a run down room. The air conditioner was very loud and the beds were very uncomfortable. If there was any other hotel remotely close I would have left. I do not recommend this hotel.

The drive way to the motel is hard to find and has potholes in it. The room was clean, although the blanket on the bed had a burn hole in it and the sheet was worn very thin. The refrigerator worked fine, along with the air conditioner and microwave. There were no safety bars for the bathtub/shower. It was very quiet and staff was friendly. Breakfast was minimal and not diabetic friendly.
