Residences Oahu Honolulu earns strong praise for its clean, modern rooms and convenient location near Ala Moana Mall and the beach, with many guests appreciating spacious suites with kitchens and great views, plus helpful amenities like a shuttle to Waikiki.
Facilities such as the pool, hot tubs, gym, spa, and on-site dining are frequently highlighted. Service is widely described as friendly and attentive, though several reviews report front-desk or check-in issues and occasional billing or communication problems. Valet-only parking is expensive and can be slow, and some guests mention housekeeping lapses or inconsistent restaurant quality. In Ala Moana which is cleaner than Waikiki. Wamart next door and Ala Moana mall 1 block and the State park beach on the other side of the mall. Everything is walkable but they do provide a shuttle to the mall, park beach and Waikiki beach. Clean new rooms, pools, Jacuzzis, gym, spa, bars, restaurant. Staff are very responsive.

We stayed here again because of great views in clean rooms with great customer service. Also the location with a Walmart behind for souvenirs and the Ala Moana mall in front with a big beach in front of that, all walkable. Dont forget the shuttle to Waikiki. Concierge service, spa, family friendly pool thats not overwhelming for couples like us just chilling.

Renaissance Residence was such a great stay. Very clean and very friendly staff. The coffee shop was conveniently in the lounge. The restaurant and bar had some good food and drinks. A bit pricy, but expected I suppose. The hotel gym, pool, hot tub, and sauna were all very nice and clean. The hotel is also between Walmart and Target, which was a quick walk from the hotel. My only complaint would be the parking situation. Online stated there was parking available. The only parking is valet parking for an additional $50 a day. If you want to park it yourslef you need to find street parking. Also, be aware of the daily "resort fee." I understand it's a new hotel, but there are some kinks that need to be sorted.

Everything was great except their room cleaning service. During our 4nights' stay, I always double checked for our room cleaning, but on the last night, they didn't clean up the room which made us really upset! And the second day, the service was just rough! Other than that, the food in the restaurant was great, and the pool & gym was also more than satisfactory. But the most favorable service was the free shuttle to Waikiki beach! Especially, the driver at night(Asian looking) was perfect!

Beautiful, clean, modern hotel. Amenities help you feel at home. And our ocean view was so nice to wake up to every morning. I loved how the hotel entrance smelled, too. Very calming and soothing scent in the air. Staff were all friendly and courteous. The only things I didn’t like: my GPS kept routing me to enter from the wrong direction. You’re not allowed to make a left turn into the driveway, and finding a turnaround was inconvenient. Also, the extras were expensive (sky deck bar by the pool, the restaurant, the coffee shop, the spa) but then again, it’s Honolulu and most things are going to cost a lot more.

The hotel and staff were 5 star, all the way! My only complaint is the $55/day valet, with no option for self-parking. However, you can walk and uber to all the tourist spots if you plan correctly and save yourself $500-$600 in car rental and valet fees.!

A Dream Vacation in Hawaii – 5 Stars! Our stay in Hawaii was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and top-notch service that made us feel like royalty. The resort itself was stunning—beautifully designed with a perfect balance of luxury and island charm. The suite layout was absolutely perfect—spacious, well-appointed, and offering breathtaking views that made waking up each morning a dream. Every detail was thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. The food was another highlight of our trip. Every meal was an experience, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and an impressive variety of flavors that left us looking forward to each dining experience. From gourmet seafood to delicious island-inspired dishes, everything was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Housekeeping kept our suite immaculate, and the valet team was always prompt and courteous, making getting around effortless. A special shout-out to Rocky, one of the managers, who truly made our experience outstanding. His attentiveness, kindness, and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident in every interaction. He made sure we had everything we needed and provided excellent recommendations that enhanced our stay. If you're looking for the ultimate Hawaiian getaway with outstanding service, world-class amenities, and a team that treats you like family, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!

Phone line was down the entire stay. Impossible to contact front desk. Mara restaurant was not good at all. Pretentious staff (except valet and security, they were nice) Valet was completely understaffed. Wehad to wait for onto the Main Street after circling the block 5 times. They’re new so I hate to be so brutally honest, but is the truth.

All of the staff are incredible! Proximity to Ala Moana (both mall and beach), Target at the end of the block, an absolutely gorgeous building and suite, and the amenity deck is absolute paradise. It’s brand new so that means no mustiness like a lot of hotels in Hawaii. A couple tiny hiccups due to it being such a new hotel made the stay a 9.9/10 but I will most definitely be back as soon as I can. Kitchen and laundry in-suite made the stay so much more convenient. Friendliest 5 star service I’ve experienced literally anywhere! No attitude or arrogance; pure kindness, capability, and accommodating attitudes from everyone. Other hotels would do well to replicate this place.

I would recommend this property for a day or extended stay. It is very close to the Ala Moana Mall and Walmart as well as the Sam’s Club.

It was great being away from the noise and crowds of Waikiki but still able to take the shuttle there when desired. Good shopping options were within walking distance from the hotel.

Great property. Love the washer and dryer and full kitchen. This made the trip absolutely phenomenal along with the view and the close proximity to the mall target and Walmart.

The building, room, and staff are amazing, I just wish it was a lot closer to waikiki beach where all the happenings are. Unfortunately parking in or around waikiki beach was both a pain and a drain so we couldn’t really hang out there often.

Nice comfortable hotel. Very friendly staff. Nice spa, and the restaurant in the hotel is first rate. Not much of a view, but not far from the ocean either.
