What guests think

At Super 8 by Wyndham Hernando, travelers highlight clean, comfortable rooms, friendly service, and a convenient, safe location near I-55 and Memphis, making it a solid, good-value stopover rather than a full-service stay.

Many appreciate the quiet setting, easy parking, and pet-friendly options. Common drawbacks include the lack of an elevator, cigarette or marijuana odors in hallways or some rooms, and a basic breakfast with limited protein. A few report intermittent A/C performance, thin walls, or minor maintenance issues. Expect a straightforward budget stay with reliable essentials.

There is no elevator in this hotel for customers. Stairs are about twenty of them. Front door is locked at 10 pm. You have to enter on the side of building. No ADA entry. Curb only. King size suites on second floor only. Good price but bad choice.

My room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is no elevator to the second floor so it is not easily accessible for everyone. And it was hard for me to carry my heavy suitcase upstairs. Breakfast was nice. The coffee was good and hot and there was a decent selection of fruit, juice, oatmeal, cereal, toast, muffins and waffles. The shower was hot with good pressure! I enjoyed my three nights stay there. It was a good location for me between Tupelo and Memphis where I did my vacationing. There were a few restaurant options up the road from the hotel. The only thing that was not perfect was the swimming pool had some algae in it so it was not appealing to want to go in on a hot day.

The air conditioner in our room barely worked. Checked into our room, turned the AC on to 65, came back 4.5hrs later and the room was barely cool. Woke up covered in sweat, no air conditioner running and too warm to even go back to sleep. Finally kicked back on enough to cool the air a bit. The answer from the front desk was "maybe it's on energy saver mode"

This was an average hotel. This hotel is not handicap friendly. I asked for an accessible room due to my knees needing to be replaced. When I got there to get checked in I was given a room on the second floor. We went to get our bags to find out there was no elevator either. I managed with the help of my boyfriend though. The room was clean and comfortable. Could have another towel no not a huge deal. The walls are very thin; I was woke up by a couple have some a fun time in bed. The only other thing is they allow people to hang out in lawn chairs in the parking lot at night which was a tad creepy for me.

We enjoyed our stay very nice and clean. The only complaint we do have is the air conditioner is was little slow coming on & off it would get real stuffy in the room real fast when the air would kick off. But when it kicked on it was nice and cool. A fan would have been nice to keep the circulation going around the room. As everything else was great .

I stayed here due to inclement weather that would lead to unsafe driving conditions. The staff was limited due to people not being able to come into work. The owners of the property were cleaning rooms of those that checked out. I did my part by taking my own trash out and not asking for cleaning services. The limited staff there were always kind and helpful. You wouldn’t have known they were just trying to keep things going. Very impressed by their professionalism and dedication. Will stay there again.

The lady with the curly hair at check in wasn't friendly or should I say welcoming. On the front bottom part of the TV it appeared to be a web camera on it that was held in place by adhesive tape I covered the camera lens with a small piece of post it note I turned off the lights and recorded the TV with my cell phone to make sure I didn't see any blinking light coming from the camera lens. There is a gap around the door (top and bottom) where light from the hallway comes in the room. The hallway smelled like marijuana. I seen one roach on the wall that I killed. We didn't eat breakfast because there wasn't a good selection they had yogurt, banana, apple, cereal, toast and waffle. The room key didn't work on the outside to get back in the hotel I along with 5 other hotel guests had to be let in the hotel by the lady with curly hair and we had to get our room key re-programmed. There were 2 cats and four kittens roaming around the parking lot. The housekeepers were nice and accommodating with getting us clean towels and taking our trash.

There's nothing to say unique about this property it was a horrible check-in that lasted an hour and a half while we sit in the hot parking lot after driving all day because the system was down to just be confronted with a very rude manager or whatever he may had been... I will never again.

For a budget hotel, this Super 8 exceeded my expectations. Very clean, extensive (included) breakfast, comfy bed and friendly staff stand out. The only issue was that one can't explore the area (to get a bite, for example) without a car because it's so pedestrian-unfriendly. Great for a one-night stay to get off the adjacent interstate.
