Many find rooms comfortable and quiet, though some report loud AC units and thin walls. Breakfast is frequently described as better than average with hot choices, though a few call it mediocre or repetitive. The property is older with basic facilities; parking is easy and well lit, the small pool suits a quick dip, and there is no elevator. Expect a practical, good-value stay focused on convenience and friendly staff.

The breakfast was excellent..not the usual same ole same ole, But..real choices—fresh bagel, english muffin or even regular toast. Heartier eater cud choose bacon, eggs, or waffle. OJ, hot coffee, or cold clear water, yogart or cereal to add fresh milk from a pitcher. So convenient to Iron Horse Trail for a long bike ride..or to dine at nearby restaurants via car. Parking free, convenient, close..clean hallways and rooms.and the staff was eager to please. Danville is charming and contemporary. We will return.

I immediately felt comfortable because of the cleanliness. There is no elevator, so if you have challenges or a lot of baggage, ask for a first floor room.

I live locally but needed a place to stay with my 2 small dogs while we did some work on our house. I had a corner room in the back near the parking lot. Perfect with the dogs. It was super quiet, besides people walking to and from the parking lot. I was working remotely, and the wifi was great. Bed was very comfy. The staff that I interacted with were all very, very nice and friendly. There is a diner connected to the hotel, and across the street are a bunch more restaurants and shops. If you drive about 5 minutes over the freeway, you've got downtown Danville. Great location, right off the freeway. I would definitely stay there again.

Front entrance is in a weird spot, behind the Black Bear Diner. But no biggie once you find it. There's plenty of parking. Right by the highway but quiet once inside. The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful. Very friendly and informative. The hotel is definitely old. Some rooms exit outside, and some are into a poorly ventilated hallway. (Didn't smell bad, but definitely stuffy). We had an upstairs room. There is no elevator which was fine with us and the gentleman at check in confirmed that we didnt mind before assigning us a room. The room was pretty stuffy and the AC was pretty noisy, but got the room cooled down. The fridge was hot. Would've been nice if that was cold already. Pillows and towels were great and plentiful. Mattresses were old and sunken in the middle. Sink faucet sprayed all over. The large TV was nice, walls seemed insulated enough, and the breakfast was great. Overall, the hotel is definitely old and outdated. But the kind staff does what they can and it was a decent budget option right off the highway.

The staff were exceptional, the pool was fine (it's not heated and very small but great for a quick refreshing dip) and the breakfast was fantastic compared to similar motels. The room wasn't quite ready at check-in but there was a lobby with seating. The carpet in the room was absolutely gross and turned my socks black within minutes; generally the room could use some updating but really other than the carpet I was more than happy. Great water pressure in the shower and their accessibility options were great. There is a Black Bear diner attached and a convenience store right there, and a number of restaurants across the street as well as a 30-mile walking/biking path across the street.

Came for a single night for work trip and needed a place close to destination. Pros: Hotel is centrally located in town, and there is a restaurant attached and a gas station right by so that is convenient for many people. Really good water pressure in the shower. Fridge worked well to keep my water cold. Cons: Hotel halls (I was on second floor) smelled really bad mildew/musty smell, dirty carpet. Rooms are clean (ish) but very outdated and carpet was dirty looking, lumpy in areas, and room had sour musty smell. AC/Heating unit is small, really loud, and was not able to keep up with the warm day (it was 97 outside, with AC on full blast by 1am temp was down to 85 in room). You can't set the temp, just hi/low AC or heat. Apparently, there is a breakfast at the hotel, was not told about it on check in or check out when I left at 7am. I received a welcome text and asked how my stay was going. I referenced the AC not working, no reply. If I hadn't been 4 hours from home and worked all day, I honestly would have left as soon as I got there. Won't be staying again when I come back to Danville.

Good stay! My room smelled like a locker room. I suspect carpet clean and a good airing out and clean AC an replace the filter should help.

It could use a face lift. Carpet and bathroom floors were filthy. My socks were nasty after walking for just a bit on the carpet. I wiped up water from the shower on the floor and the towel was incredibly dirty. Bed was comfortable. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. The facility itself needs improvements. It was convenient for our needs, so that was nice. A little TLC would up a long way. 😊

The stay was fine overall. The room was clean. Except the rug. I walked around barefoot in the room for over an hour. And the bottom of my feet were black. So that meant the carpet was filthy. It looked clean. But it obviously was not. Other than that the area was quiet and decent area.

Overall, the hotel is nice and quiet with large rooms but they are a little outdated with rolls in carpets. There’s no elevator, but staff is very friendly and helps carry luggage when asked. Gas station in the same parking lot which is convenient and town with food options shopping is five minutes away.

The hotel was very clean, and staff was kind and attentive. However, several guests weren't observant of quiet hours. Also, one of the two cooling units in the room was so loud when it turned on. It sounded like a space ship was trying to land. Lastly, the lights outside in the parking lot were very bright, which is fine, but the blackout curtains don't close all the way, so we were stuck with a loud a/c unit, and bright lights, which didn't make for a super restful night. Everything else was great though. Breakfast was delicious, the amenities were good.

Only reason for the 4 stars is because upon arrival we had to inquire where are room was, how to get there, etc. May have just been a new employee? But everything else was good. Close to downtown, clean, and for highway being so close pretty quiet. We will go there again.

Best Western in Danville is a great value and in a location that can’t be beat for this area! It has your basic amenities and is very clean! The room felt spacious and the shower pressure was great! Free breakfast had multiple food offerings, including hot food items. Would stay here again for a night or two.

We spent 4 nights. The ac didn’t work so room was very warm. I told them on Friday am. They did replace the entire ac on Saturday and it was a huge improvement in the comfort of the room. Staff is very pleasant and well executed breakfast.

Whenever I am in the east bay area I always stay at this Best Western. It's right off the 680 and there are several dining options within a very short walk. There's nothing fancy about this Best Western, it just gets the job done.

Easy access off freeway and Black Bear diner shares parking lot, along with gas and circle K. More nice dining across the street. Local to everything.

Dining
Breakfast is generally well liked with hot options and variety, though a few guests found it mediocre or repetitive. An adjacent diner next door offers another easy choice.

Best Western in Danville is a great value and in a location that can’t be beat for this area! It has your basic amenities and is very clean! The room felt spacious and the shower pressure was great! Free breakfast had multiple food offerings, including hot food items. Would stay here again for a night or two.
