We enjoyed our brief stay at the Terrace Inn. We had dinner outdoors. The food was excellent. The other people staying at the hotel were very friendly. We had some laughs out on the front porch before dinner.

I have been coming here for more than 20 years. The whole staff was new; we didn’t recognize anyone. The breakfast wasn’t that great. No cereal, hot or cold, no milk, no bowl of fruit, and no toast. They did have yogurt parfaits, hard boiled eggs, quiche, and store bought pastries. Now, if we want to come back next year it will cost an additional $150. We won’t be coming back.

Very lovely older Inn. Location is close to downtown. Very clean and rooms are nice. Parking is primarily on the road and can be a little ways away with a busy restaurant. If you like an older inn I would recommend.

A grand old property with lots of character and surrounded by a quiet, historic neighborhood where you can stroll to your hearts’s content after dinner or breakfast. If you don’t come expecting all the shiniest conveniences of a Sheraton but prefer comfort, conviviality, and conversation in the parlor or drinks on the porch, this is a place you might consider.

If you want to stay in a historic hotel in beautiful Petoskey but still want to enjoy modern conveniences, this is not the hotel for you. First of all, there are three floors, and no elevator. The front desk staff did offer assistance with our bags, though, and we were grateful for that. The rooms are not well maintained. I’m guessing the last room renovations were in the 1980s, and our room was so tiny. Barely room to move around. We did request a different room after our first night there, but none were available. The shower was so small there was hardly room to turn around. There are Roku tvs in the rooms, but you can’t watch them because their WiFi is slow. All in all, we were very disappointed with the accommodations.
