Hotel HBlue Malecón

What guests think

Across recent reviews, Hotel HBlue Malecón stands out for friendly, attentive staff, consistently clean rooms, and sweeping sea and city views, with many guests also appreciating the convenient setting a short walk from the Malecón.

The rooftop terrace and bar are popular, but multiple reviews note a very shallow plunge pool with limited lounging and access through the restaurant, plus recurring elevator keycard hassles and some unfinished or debris-strewn exterior areas. Rooms are often spacious with very comfortable beds and quiet nights, though some guests noted smaller layouts and low lighting. On-site breakfast and restaurant options are widely liked, though selection can feel limited. Overall, expect a modern city hotel with notable strengths and a few practical limitations.

Very nice new property. Great customer service. Good breakfast. Great views of the all bay. Only thing is a small plunge pool for guests with no lounge chairs, a nicer big pool would it be amazing.

The pool is not of a splash pool and is about 2 feet deep. It’s great for cooling off but you have to go through the restaurant to get to it. The rooms are very clean and beautiful. We had two king size beds in our room. There is plenty of space. The staff are extremely nice and personable. The restaurant staff are very attentive. Mayra was our server on our first day and made sure we had everything we needed.

Be aware, the pool is a sham. There are no lounge chairs and no where to lay by the pool. It's by a bunch to tables and chairs. The pool is about 1-2' deep so you can't swim in it, just more of a decoration for the restaurant. The beach is quite a long walk down a hill and it's a small beach, you have to drive about 20 minutes to get to a decent beach. When we tried to leave early due to basically no pool, they would not give us a refund for remaining days. I would not recommend going here

I've stayed at the Centro location of HBlue Hotel as well as the Malecon location, but I think I like the Malecon location better. Both stays were excellent. Extremely comfortable and clean, amazing value, friendly staff and a stunning view from the rooftop pool. They've earned my loyalty - I won't stay anywhere else in La Paz except for HBlue, and I'll be happy to come back anytime!!
