SureStay Studio by Best Western Paradise Lancaster County

searched for hotel with indoor pool and this hotel came up. surprised to find there was a pool in another hotel that you could walk in below freezing weather to swim in. not as advertised. tried to move but could not since we prepaid. old building tried to upgrade but work was shoddy. would not stay again

Nice breakfast ,pool, and gym.

So when we booked, we saw that there was an indoor pool. What it does NOT tell you is that the pool is in the main hotel. Not a good idea when it's 30 degrees into to have to walk across a parking lot just to get to the pool and other hotel listed amenities. The site should mention that. Our room had a very small amount of toilet paper and when we called, the front desk was very nice and brought us what we needed. It's a cute hotel but I must say, it wasn't till the morning we realized that the trash can under the sink was never emptied from the last stay and the soap was still in the dish in the shower. So the toilet paper, trash and soap leads me to believe the room really wasn't cleaned from the last guest. Can only hope the sheets were at least changed. Best Western brand, I expected better.

The breakfast was good lots to choice from. Checking in was easy nice people at the desk. The room was good liked the full refrigerator. The floors in the room were dirty sticky, The outside walk up was dirty it smelled like dog.The 2 pools were nice one out and one in. In all it was not bad. Just need to clean better.

This property was great. Much better than I expected. Staff was friendly . Breakfast was above what I've seen in other motels. Great location quiet yet just a few miles from shopping. Access to the other hotels pool, gym and laundry. Coffee available 24/7

Room was in fair condition. Something had been sprayed around the room (floor, tables, etc.) maybe a cleaner and not wiped up. You have to walk to the main hotel for the pool and breakfast. Pool was indoor, but cold. Breakfast was decent.

We love staying here. It was great. It was nice and clean. Both pools were great.

The place was wonderful. Breakfast is very good nice selection of food. Rooms were clean. Pools are well maintained.

Staff was nice, great deluxe continental breakfast daily, room was cleaned daily. Just understand you are booking with SureStay by Best Western Plus… Best Western Plus and SureStay are combined as far as amenities but SureStay is the older (but renovated) part and you have to walk to the main building for the store, laundry, breakfast, and inside pool. There isn’t an elevator on the SureStay side either. But if you call or go to the front desk of the main Building Best Western Plus they immediately provide what you need.

Checked in at the main Best Western property to stay in the SureStay part. The key card didn’t work at first so we had to walk up to get a new one. Not a problem. The room was dirty and there was a used wet washcloth in the tub. The tub was obviously not clean and neither were the floors throughout the room. There was a urine smell on the bathroom. We cleaned the writhing in the bathroom to make sure we didn’t shower in anyone’s germs. The bathtub drain didn’t work well and had a clog - Very disgusting to shower in a hotel and have the water come up past your ankles. The kitchenette area was nice. The breakfast was GREAT, though. The pools and gym were also great features. It was also very quiet since not many people were staying at the SureStay. I most likely will not come back to this place for the lack of cleanliness of the room.

Walking on the floor made our feet or socks black. Shower didn't drain properly so we had to stand in water. Bathtub faucet needs attention.

Had to book here one afternoon on the fly and stayed for one night. We were provided a room in an 'annex' building. The building is more like a 2-story motel facility and is kind of old, although they apparently have done some renovation to some of the finishes and built-in furniture. Unfortunately, it feels likely a fairly shoddy renovation, because so much of the base building needs renovation as well, and it becomes apparent next to, say, the newer LVT floors (e.g., rotting metal door frames, painted over textured wall finishes). The rooms a kind of small, so there wasn't much space to open even our two carry-on size travel bags. The room features a hotplate and a larger fridge, which is nonsensical considering the size of the room. More importantly, the hotel really fell down on cleaning. The room was frankly dirty. Initially, we found pubic hair on the bedspread, and then there was visible dirt on the floor edges, which were LVT. We had their staff come and clean this up. We left shortly after arriving for an event, and came back late. Only then did I realize that it looked like the shower had either been used previously by a very hairy person or they had cleaned the shower with a dirty mop on the walls. It was truly disgusting. We were too tired to do much about it, and we left as quickly as possible in the morning. The Hotel was apologetic but not much else; they attributed the issue to a shortcoming in their current cleaning operation.

Thankfully the room was in better shape than the exterior of the building. The outside and staircase was very dirty, cracked, unkept looking. It made us very nervous about what the interior if the room would be

I liked the free breakfast. Nice selection and tasted good. Plenty of free parking. Hardwood floors in room need to be mopped daily. If you walk around without shoes, your feet will be filthy!

Bathroom was dirty. Floors were dirty. Alot of hair in bathtub and an open soap bar that we did not use. This is more like a motel not a hotel. Will not stay here again.

The room was beautiful. Everything was very updated. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchenette was equipped with a nice size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, dishes, silverware, sink, toast and coffeemaker with supplies. We were within walking distance to the main building that had a nice indoor pool, small store and nice breakfast set up. The free breakfast had many items and everything was delicious. We will definitely stay there again.

When we booked a SureStay studio room that would guarantee a mini kitchenette, we didn’t realize it’d be part of the main Best Western hotel on the property but its own totally separate building. We were limited in our driving so while not terribly far from the main lobby, it was an issue for food delivery. The drivers couldn’t tell the difference and kept going to the lobby so we had to walk back and forth to meet them. We wished we stayed in the actual hotel at that point vs the separate studios. The studio building also did not have an elevator, which we did not realize. With an infant, we could not use his stroller so had to make several trips to the second floor. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette for us to wash bottles. However, during our stay, we had a couple of flies or gnats that kept appearing by the bathroom. The room was relatively clean otherwise. The beds were a little soft for our liking and kept shifting off the boxspring but were otherwise clean. We would stay again but this time, would stay in the main hotel.

It was fine for the 2 nights we were there. The room had a very motel feeling. It was clean but not updated, and the beds were on a cot type platform where the mattresses would slide.

Our room was no frills BUT that’s what I wanted. No carpet, nothing super fancy but very clean and you can’t beat the price. They even had shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathtub/shower area. The breakfast.. amazing! That says a lot coming from someone who can’t eat gluten. The staff was so courteous and helpful too. The outdoor pool was closed for the season but the indoor one was open. There is also a hot tub there to use as well. I highly recommend staying here and plan to do so myself.

This was our second time at this hotel. The reception isn't friendly, but it's very formal. I need to work, but the internet in my building was terrible. The breakfast is the highlight. Very tasty and complete. I wouldn't stay here again. There are better and cheaper options in the area.

We stayed in the suite, bathroom is a little small but there is a sink & counter outside of it, nice having a full size refrigerator & beds were comfortable, overall cleanliness was good.

The staff was wonderful. The room was missing toiletries, not enough towels and wash cloths. The tub was very slippery. The TV kept freezing up.

The room was clean and newly renovated. There were no towel racks, the TV said no signal and you could see daylight all around the exterior door. The breakfast staff was very friendly and the woman we checked out with was very pleasant.

It’s pretty close to everything. The pictures that they show you are quite what they seem and there’s two buildings. We were in the second building not the main building so maybe it would have been better but we didn’t realize we were put in the second building. It wasn’t to clean and we had problems with the tv both nights we were there.

The staff were amazing and were very helpful and courteous. The room was very clean and well appointed. No major issues, except a slight problem with the air conditioning, but staff immediately worked to correct. I highly recommend!

Room was very clean upon arrival. Housekeeping was hit and miss. Beds not made up for entire stay. Trash was emptied. Fresh towels were left. Coffee was replenished. This did occur daily. However, if you follow a checklist, and the guests are not using Decaf coffee, leave some extra Regular coffee. Also, the toilet was plugged at one point, and when I called Front Desk to report it, I was told I could come to the desk for a plunger! Me, you expect me to play Plumber? That being said, breakfast was absolutely outstanding, and was the reason for not giving a lower score.

On our 3rd day there we let housekeeping know that we did not need service to our room that day, so went to dinner came back and our room was serviced after we said no. The last day checkout was 11 am and it was 9:35 am, thank goodness the top slide lock was on, the housekeeper did not knock on the door prior to entering like they should and just opened the door which scares me because no one is expecting that to happen, I was upset with the fact no one knocked but just tried to enter, I guess they assumed that everyone must check out early. Not always the case. But other than that it was a great experience and would visit again, it's close to outlets, restaurants etc. The price for the Surestay Studios in Paradise PA was very reasonable, especially since mine had a kitchenette, full size fridge stovetop microwave toaster and small coffee maker.

Very nice and clean room. It did smell a little like someone smoked in it though. We also booked the room for 4 people but only had 3 sets of towels. They came quickly when we called for extra towels. Also, good thing I brought body wash because the one in the shower was empty.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It was very clean, comfortable and full of friendly people who were always willing to help! We loved the location. It was centrally located to all things in the Amish countryside. We loved the look of the property, full of so much charm

This place is amazing - always stay here yearly on our vacation. Breakfast is different everyday very delicious! Place is near shopping areas beautiful Amish farms and great entertainment!

The location was nice. There is a place to see a show and get dinner that’s walkable. Although there are no elevators it’s only a small walk up to the second floor. The suite has a burner top stove which was great except there are no pots or pans to utilize them. We brought food but had no way to cook it unless we used the microwave. The bed was comfy, everything was clean. The water pressure in the shower was fabulous. We did ask to have maintenance come because our phone didn’t work. They did not come. There is a way to check out from your room by dialing a certain number but I called the lobby on my cell and they were able to do it. Overall I’d give them 4 1/2 stars and would stay again.

Very nice place to stay. Close to Sight and Sound and many other sights to visit. Also very good restaurants. Would stay again. Also a few slot, games of chance. Breakfast was amazing

It was listed as a Lancaster hotel, which is true only in an extended sense. I was a half hour drive to Lancaster. I suppose this is partly my fault for not checking more closely where "Paradise" is. The breakfast was good, people working there were pleasant and courteous. The biggest problem was that we felt deceived. The property pictures make it look like hotel, when in reality half the rooms (including ours) are in a separate building, which is a converted motel. The room itself was clean and looked relatively redone, but it was clearly a 1950's motel conversion: the room was narrow and hard to get around in, with the sink outside the bathroom. The outside hallways were fairly dirty, looking like a 1950's motel. If we'd known we'd be getting a converted motel in a separate building, we'd never have stayed here.

Room was clean,staff friendly, accommodation were comfortable, although there was no laundry service as advertised. When traveling for a long period of time its important. Food was average but the hot food was not hot.
