Breakfast and the on-site restaurant are widely enjoyed for quality and variety. Some drawbacks appear, including occasional TV connectivity issues, a smaller room for three, language barriers, a missed special request, and an unexpected charge for adding a guest name. Overall, it suits travelers who value a polished urban base.

After a long 13-hour journey to Albania, I could not have chosen a better place to unwind. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed. The entire property is spotless, and the staff are not only professional but genuinely kind and hospitable. The highlight of my stay was, without question, the deep tissue massage — the best I have ever had in my life. On top of that, the free access to the spa facilities made it an incredible value. Between the sauna, steam, and relaxation areas, it was exactly what my body needed after such a long day of travel. I truly fell in love with this place — it exceeded every expectation I had. If you are looking for comfort, care, and a touch of luxury, this is it. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Amazing staff, very attentive and great communication throughout. I booked the hotel as a surprise trip for my one year anniversary and the staff helped with decorating the room and providing a cake, I was also able to book a couples spa treatment ahead of my stay. Big thank you to all the members of staff that helped; Anisa, Paola and everyone. Thank you for memorable experience!

Excellent hotel spa! Brand new hotel spa in Durrës. 5 min walk from bus station&harbour, close to archeological places, supermarkets, restaurants and a shopping centre. Service was excellent, mega friendly staff, really good breakfast (a la carte, huge portions), really clean, comfortable beds, safe area and the Spa was the cherry on top (Spa is free for guests). They booked me a taxi to the airport and provided early check in. Fully recommend it!

The staff were courteous and welcoming on arrival. The breakfast although it comes with food was substandard, European style. To gain more attraction the overall look of the restaurant needs to be more authentic alongside the menu. The spa was exceptional. I requested for a note with 2 glasses of prosecco on arrival in advance. This was not fulfilled. It came to their attention later on my stay which at that point was not needed I was charged an additional £60 for not putting in partner name in the room. This was an honest mistake. Nonetheless I paid as I don’t like long winded conversations after a long Journey to get there. Is this normal procedure to charge extra for added someone’s name onto a room that already paid for?

I stayed at the Grand Duka Hotel with my boyfriend for 4 nights/5 days and we had a fantastic experience. The staff were five-star – professional, kind, and attentive. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily with fresh towels, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable (I have back problems and still slept really well). The rooms are soundproof, so we never heard other guests. The hotel ambience is lovely, and even though it is inside a small mall, it never felt intrusive. The hotel lifts are separate, and the room fridge was handy. On our last day we checked out at 11am but were allowed to use the spa until our flight, and we stored luggage in the luggage room – great for late departures. Drinks at the hotel bar were well priced and generous. For accessibility: stairs at the entrance may be difficult for some, though there’s a lift from the car park. The location is excellent: supermarket, cafés, and restaurants are nearby, plus a kebab shop and bank across the road. ATMs (with English translations) were easy to use, charging about 500 lek per withdrawal, with better rates than the exchange shop a minute away. At the end of the road is an ATV rental, and a bus station is within 5–10 minutes, though we used cabs. The beach is a short walk (under renovation), but 20 mins by taxi you’ll find a livelier area. A market 10 mins away is also worth visiting. Overall: clean, comfortable, well-located, and excellent service. Would definitely return!

Grand Duka is the perfect place to stay in Durrës. The staff were warm, kind, and incredibly helpful. The spa, included in the hotel fee, was such a wonderful treat. I’d definitely stay here again the next time I visit Durrës, Albania. 10/10!

I had one of the best stay experience at this hotel, given my first time in Albania with my husband. The staff exhibited professionalism and was always eager to help. They made me feel welcome and was the most friendliest. I will be visiting again with friends at this hotel again.
