What guests think

Reviews of Quality Inn & Suites Gilroy describe clean, straightforward rooms at a budget price, friendly staff, and a convenient location near Highway 101, outlets, and Gilroy Gardens, with continental breakfast and on‑site parking that suits short stays.

Common drawbacks include unreliable Wi‑Fi and occasional TV or key‑card issues. Several guests note maintenance or comfort inconsistencies such as hard mattresses, small or lumpy pillows, and dated or faulty fixtures. The pool and hot tub exist but are sometimes closed, dirty, or not properly heated, and some feel the surrounding area can seem rough. Expect a basic, budget-friendly stopover with simple amenities.

It was nice and quiet. The pool and hottub were fun. I like how there’s a bathroom in the pool area. The room was nice with a comfortable bed and a fridge and microwave. Blackout curtains help sleep in. The shower was nice and clean with glass doors. There’s shampoo and body wash in there already. The only thing wrong is that the floor under shower squeaks with every step you take. The staff at check in seemed overwhelmed and confused and she didn’t know if had already given me the key and if the room was occupied or available. The checkout staff was nice and seemed more knowledgeable. I will definitely come back and recommend this hotel.

The guy who checked me in was very kind and understanding of my situation. I should have a discount because he knew expedia was advertising a working pool and spa and they were both out of order. I only booked this place so my 8 year old son could enjoy the spa since he never gets to enjoy things like this. The shower had mold every where in it. The bed is old and dirty. The carpets are dirty. It was peaceful and quiet though, thats why I gave 2 stars including how nice the front desk guy is. I will never stay here again. Also, there was a bum my son noticed sleeping on the ground next to the hotel. My son didn't like that. Neither did I.

Like: quiet at night; close to restaurants & gas station; running hot/cold showers; AC works; small refrigerator & microwave; Dislike: no elevator; uncomfortably, hard mattress & pillows; stained, cut & outdated bed sheets & comforter; loud walking neighbors in the morning; next to abandoned business building; limited parking. This place is old & needs updated.

That bed was worse than sleeping in my car. You have to be in the shower to turn it on and the lights turn off while you are showering. Walked out of the shower to the bed and my feet were dirty, like I didn’t just take a shower.

The internet was horrible and disconnecting every few minutes, half the outlets weren't working, the A/C wasn't cooling down the room when its been 90 degree days that I was sweating doing nothing in the room. I was highly disappointed for spending over 100 on the room.

Pool was refreshing and hot tub was great just wish it was hotter in temperature. But everyone there was very friendly and polite. I actually left something behind in our room we stayed in and i called them to ask them if they can please not throw it away and I will pick up as soon as i could which the did and that made me so happy. They kept it in the office until i picked it up. Great service.
