What guests think
Across recent reviews, Hotel Du Lac Congress Center & Spa is praised for friendly, helpful staff, a high-quality breakfast, a beautiful, quiet pool area, clean and comfortable rooms, and a convenient lakeside location within walking distance of Ioannina's center.
Many travelers describe large rooms with balconies and lake views. Several also praise the beautiful property and gardens, along with convenient on-site bars and restaurants. However, a few note minor maintenance or odor issues and service inconsistencies, such as slow pool service, less friendly or forgetful breakfast staff, a small dated room, or balcony access limited by nearby construction. Expect an upscale, lakeside stay with strong amenities and a relaxing vibe.

Fantastic 5 star hotel,, not far from Town Centre, spotlessly clean and very good front desk. Lovely Gardens that are immaculately kept. Breakfast was good but could be more fruit choice and staff in breakfast a bit more friendly, otherwise a great 4 night stay

Really a beautiful hotel and well maintained property! Will definitely be back. Room was luxurious, spotless and very comfortable. This time room 710 construction going on outside in the back kept us from balcony but is understandable would have liked to be told before. Carpets in lobby and hallway of 710 need either cleaning or replacing and fragrance of entire indoor hotel is too musky but is just my personal opinion. Staff at pool was inattentive and had to constantly walk to bar to order and very slow with orders. Pool area is very beautiful, clean and classy. Nice area to sit and enjoy a coffe and snack off to the side. Continental breakfast excellent! Had a wonderful lunch by the waterfall everything was delicious! Dessert too! I am in no way complaining just providing some feedback. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again when in ioannina!

I was only there for one night, but the hotel was great. The front desk manager and staff were very nice upon arrival and gave me an upgrade. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There was a huge selection and the quality was excellent. The hotel has a beautiful view of the lake and is a short walk to the center of town.

Dining
Breakfast is consistently praised for quality and variety, and several guests like the on-site dining options. Downsides include weak coffee for some, a lukewarm dish, and occasional service inconsistencies at breakfast.

Fantastic 5 star hotel,, not far from Town Centre, spotlessly clean and very good front desk. Lovely Gardens that are immaculately kept. Breakfast was good but could be more fruit choice and staff in breakfast a bit more friendly, otherwise a great 4 night stay

We had a wonderful welcome by Pappadopoulos at the front desk. He gave some excellent dining and sightseeing recommendations before taking us to our room. The room was perfect in every way. Very good breakfast. Excellent service. We're definitely going back in the near future.

My partner and I stayed here for three nights in late June, between visits to Corfu and Zagori, and were very happy with our choice. Built in 1998, the hotel has the feel of a classic mountain resort. While some reviews describe it as “dated,” that really only applied to our room. The rest of the property felt traditionally styled, well maintained, and very inviting. Our room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the lake. The bathroom is due for an update, particularly the tub and half-wall shower, which left the floor wet after every use. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a bright dining room and a wide selection of hot and cold items. We were initially concerned that the hotel’s conference centre might make it feel like a business hotel, but that wasn’t the case at all. The large pool area, with plenty of loungers, umbrellas, a bar, and beautifully maintained landscaping, was a highlight of our stay. Although the pool was busy when we arrived on Sunday, the staff did an outstanding job ensuring guests could find available loungers by promptly removing abandoned towels. The hotel is about a 12 to 15-minute walk from the restaurants and bars in the city centre, making it close enough for convenience while remaining peaceful. We’d happily stay here again.
