Dutch Motel

What guests think

At Dutch Motel, travelers consistently note remodeled, very clean rooms, friendly front-desk service, and good value, with easy parking and a convenient location near restaurants and major roads, making it a straightforward, no-frills place to stay.

Common drawbacks include thin walls leading to noise, occasional smoke or strong cleaning smells, and some rooms missing small conveniences like lamps, tissue, or extra towels. Breakfast is minimal, with mentions of coffee and sometimes small pancakes, and there is no on-site restaurant, though food options are nearby. Overall comfortable and I got a good rate, grateful for affordable price and nice staff, but not the most sensorially pleasing place ever… Pros - -price! -bed reasonably comfortable to me -my room had mini fridge, microwave, nice cold AC, and free parking -can walk to yummy restaurants (just not coffee shop I dont think) -not too dirty Cons -no bedside table or lamp, bright overhead lighting only -fridge is loud, walls are quite thin, could hear neighbors tv on other side of wall all night, bed made clattering sound when i moved around -smelled like cigarette smoke in my room at first. Solved by buying a nice candle. -They have a bath tub but “dont provide the stopper” so you have to bring your own, be very DIY about it, or just plan on shower and not bath.

I've been here twice. The first time it was clean in the king lux suit. From what i can remember, that's why i booked again. Second time was a standard king. We checked in @3 exactly. No problems there. We walk in and there's a clump of hair on the floor. It seems it wasn't swept. Second thing was the restroom. A musty oder came off the shower wall when water touched it. Idk if it was mildew, mold, or it wasn't cleaned in a while. Other then that the room was ok. Tf Btw the app doesn't let me upload a photo i took off the clump of hair by the bed

The 1st room we got would have been great but it smelled of weed so badly. The 2nd room would of been great as well but this time it smelled like bleach so badly. We had to air out the room ourselves to get that strong bleach smell out for an hour. The rooms look pretty good, and the king bed is outstanding! The staff really has to focus on properly using bleach, and to make sure all that the rooms don't smell musty before the next customer.

Easy check in / check out. Units look newly remodel, but missing a few creature comforts: Shower self, wall art work, cabinet for microwave/fridge, etc. Walls aren't that thick, so you can hear if someone leaves the TV on all night. Floors need to be cleaned better between guests. My TV did not work.

Paper thin walls - there is a sign at the "Office", a glassed in safety enclosure, telling people to keep the TV volume down. Suffice to say I heard the TV, though my familiarity with the intimate activities next room was thorough-a howling good time was had over there. Rudimentary, no tissue, barely any toilet paper, not enough towels. Wife tells me to spend more. OK then.
