Quality Inn South

Indianapolis had a winter storm on Sunday morning. I took my dog for a walk around 6am. The entrance was completely covered with snow and ice that wasn't removed before we left the building. When we returned to the entrance I fell right in the entry way where there was no one at the desk for any help at all. The hotel didn't offer any medical assistance or help at all for my injury that happened to my right leg, now I can barely walk without a cane.

Parking lot was open to park easy. The noise from people in hall and the age of the bathroom we had is less than to be desired, loose fittings in the shower is just to be one issue. The room was clean, slight smell to room when we first walked in could be moist from the bathroom.

Since I had a Semi truck, I had to park in the back where it was like a swamp. Walking back and forth from my room to my vehicle was unpleasant because there were piles and pile of dog crap every three to four feet. If I didn't pay close attention to where I was stepping I definitely would have stepped in one...Oh the house keeper didn't bother to knock and walked as I was about to get in the shower.

Armon was our guest services representative when we checked in he went above and beyond to with professionalism and friendliness. We asked about getting a truckers discount because my husband has a CDL’s , he immediately checked into that for us,but because we booked on hotels.com. We was not able to get it. I am a smoker and after we got settled in, I came downstairs to smoke outside. I was going to walk down to the end of the building to the exit door and he gladly explained that I could step outside near the front desk and a lighted area, with patio chairs, and ashtray stand. that’s very comfortable and the blankets were perfect not too thin not too thick. The air conditioner works perfect. The hot water is excellent. The hotel was very quiet. We definitely got a good nights sleep. and in the morning I came down for breakfast. The gentleman at the next for the next shift was friendly greeted me, and when I went to the dining room, the lady I believe was training another new employee and they greeted me as well and introduced themselves and explained if I needed anything there are there to help the breakfast was good dining room is very clean and she even came out with a extra juice on a try to offer me as well as yogurt. The outside had some construction going on in the front due to an unfortunate event. So didn’t look so pleasant when we drove up, the hotel definitely needs updated, but after our experience, I would definitely stay here again no doubt about it.

Came into town for concert stayed overnight. Stay was average. Could’ve been cleaner but have seen worse. No elevators

Upon arriving the parking lot area was run down. Signage was not inviting. Walking in the building there was no one at the counter and after 6-8 mins we walked around to look down hallways. We found the desk person at the end of the hall seemingly frantic. There appearred to be a guest layung on the floor and not moving. So first impression was not good. We believe the guest died and certainly not a way to start an overnight stay

located next to a rock quary, everything covered in dust, holes in the wall, no maid service at all, cramped and loud, all around mess.

No elevator or bathroom in lobby area.

Very welcoming and friendly environment! The hotel is old and the main entrance was damaged but i realky like their hospitality!

Staff was absolutely a pleasure, But the room itself was absolutely filthy and in disrepair.

The staff was helpful. Other than that: - the hallway smelled like weed. - the room floor was so filthy that when I got in the shower my feet left prints like I had walked on a dirt road. - the shower fixtures pulled away from the wall. - no outlets at the desk and few others around the room. -the cable box didn't work. Thankfully I was able to work with Hotels.com and the staff to cancel the rest of the reservation.

When I got there I checked in like normal. Got my room cards and went to my room. Went to plug in my phone to charge somebody had left their computer chords still plugged in. I went to grab a hand towel and it was dirty. There was used soap bars still in the shower from a previous person. My kids opened the closet like they do at every hotel and there was somebody’s dirty clothes laying on the bottom of the closet. When it was time for bed we flipped the blankets down and there were black spots all over the blankets. The top blanket had a stain on it that the pillows were on top of to try and cover it. You could tell that our room had not been cleaned in awhile

I cannot overemphasize how filthy the room was. Stains on every linen, mold on the ceilings, even the walls are stained.

Only rated 1 because 0 is not an option. The room was filthy. It wasn’t swept, there were multiple hairs in the tub, and crumbs on the entertainment center. The walls had drip marks covering the entire wall. The entertainment had no drawers—they had been removed. Very few outlets and what outlets were there, were hanging out of the wall and what appeared to be blood stains on the ceiling. There was only one set of towels, even though it was booked for two. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and the breakfast is what I had expected.

The dirtiest place I have ever seen. The room I was given had stains on the walls, a rotting wooden window that wouldn't close, mattresses with ripped-up corners, a chair that looked like a cat had been sharpening its claws on it, an old insect cocoon on the wall, carpeting that had never been vacuumed with dead bugs in it, and a funky smell. I stayed just long enough to book lodging somewhere else and got out of there. Don't believe their photos. Stay away.

There was stains and holds on the sheets. The carpet in the room and in the hall was dirty and smell terrible.

It smelled really bad of stale cigarette smoke. The carpet in the room and hallway looked and smelled like it was never cleaned. The wooden frame around the window fell apart when I opened it. The bedding smelled like mildew. blankets had cigarette burns. The pillows had yellow stains on them. I had to buy some Fabreeze to try and get some smell out, but it didn't work. And the toilet wasn't flushing. And I couldn't run the ac or heater because too much dust and dirt kept blowing out. My daughter couldn't take a bath because the tub was dirty and had shoe prints in it. I don't know how they can still be in business. It was nothing like the pictures. I am super pissed that I got charged this much for the filth that we had to sleep in.

Room was dirty and smelled bad from substantial amounts of air freshener that didn’t dissipate. Carpet in the room was worn and dirty. Bed was made, but I found something crunchy in the sheets. Towels were thin and small. The hotel overall looked tired and in serious need of renovation.

$100 deposit in a not so great area, due to concerns of people smoking in there rooms but it smelled like a marijuana dispensary.... Thin walls...

Well it needs work, broken sink, TV broke. Tub needed replaced.smelled like cigarettes smoke. No chair to sit . The people that worked there are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

The room feels neglected. When we arrived there was a couple tools on the room that looks like somebody was working there. The shower was not good at all, The shower handle was no properly working. When we took a shower the shower was also stuck. These rooms definitely needs a fix.

We were told at check in that breafkast began at 6am, turns out in the weekend it starts at 7am. The toilet in the room was not secured in place, it kept balancing, the light on the restroom is inconvenient. There was no cable.

I really enjoyed my stay but my only problem/concern was that the Wi-Fi would connect and disconnect whenever it felt like but other then that I liked my stay

The key cards malfunction all the time, they never open doors on the first attempt and I’ve had to get replacements every few days. The furniture and appliances are old. My microwave and light bulbs didn’t work, and when I asked for replacements several times each employee said “we don’t have any more” without bothering to look for any way to fix them. The bed was uncomfortable and old with indents from use. The toilet runs every few minutes and the wifi goes in and out. The rate was affordable, which I was grateful for but now I see why they don’t charge very much. My needs were sufficiently met, but I would call this far from good quality.

The hotel didn’t have tv, lights were broke, and the bed had stains all over it. Completely disgusting. Barely slept. Would’ve drove home but we got done with our activity and checked in at 11 pm and were too tired to drive 3 hours. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I would like a refund!

Waited 45 minutes at the front desk for someone to check us in. Once checked in we had to switch rooms because the shower head was broken, TV didn't work and the toilet didn't flush well. Photos of the hotel do not match the actual state of the rooms which are in huge disrepair.

After check-in (which went smoothly), I entered my room and was greeted with the pungent odor of stale cigarette smoke. The mattress on the bed was thin and felt cheap, the tub was filthy and the shower handle was broken. I didn’t discover that gem until the next morning. A highlight was the hot breakfast offered. I was looking forward to this. When entering the breakfast area, there were no plates. I brought this to the attention of the person at the front desk. She looked for more but none were to be found. The juice machine was out of order and the coffee was empty. I may have stayed in worse places, but I sure can’t recall when or where.

At the reception desk Bridgette Dixon was if superb assistance. I had concern a couple of times with my transportation. Instead of allowing me to worry to long, see l she came up with a workaround solution to make the situation as smooth as clock work. Thank you Quality Inn for having a great employee to represent the chain.

It was the worst experience ever I'm not only it was dirty my hotel key would work one minute and then the next it stoped the first day I wanted to check in and couldn't find anyone I ended up sleeping in their parking lot and when I woke up then I found the manager so I could check in I explained what happened he said they is someone here all the time I said well I looked everywhere and couldn't find anyone the night before I was going to check out same issue couldn't find the employee went to the store to get groceries and thanks for my key not working and couldn't find the guy that decided to show up 2 hours later my groceries spoiled I had it by this time got another key and packed my things and left early called headquarters to get a refund they said since I booked with a 3rd party they will have to refund me I called the 3rd party and they tried to make it right but they said they couldn't refund me that the hotel will have to I to them well great it looks like I'm getting a run a round because that's what the headquarters said so the 3rd party said they will call the hotel on my behalf and try to get it resolved it's funny because when I called the hotel before I choose to call headquarters they said the manager wouldn't be in until Tuesday so there was nothing they could do but when the 3rd party called they lied and said they couldn't do a refund because I never reported any issues which is a lie I'm so upset I went there to relax but it was a horrible experience

When I checked in the clerk said since I booked my room through a third party app and not them directly, my $100 security depaosit had to be in cash. It was 2 hours before 3:00 and she charged me $25 for early check in. I didn't see anyone else my entire stay, it was far from being full. She then chose my room, the one odd room that is literally in the hotel lobby. There is no wall or partition to give any degree of sound barrier or privacy. The door is right across from the check in counter. You hear everything from the doors opening up to every footstep and every conversation that is had in or near the lobby. I had to ask for a different room. Again, this place was far from capacity. Not sure why I was initially put in the room that should be a last resort spot when there are just no more rooms available. The next morning the same agent was working. The first thing she asked was if I had everybody out of the room... checked in alone and was alone in the room. I said 'do you mean me?' she told me it was a question they are required to ask everyone. Before she returned my cash deposit she actually went down to the room and inspected it before retuning my $100. When I asked her if I left the room to her liking, she surprisingly said,' it actually looks pretty good '. I have stayed at many many hotels /motels, including this same hotel 4 times in the past, and I have never any of these things happen before. I felt very unwelcome. This will be my last stay here.

I called at 7pm to indicate I'd be checking in late for my (prepaid) reservation. They assured me it was no problem. When I arrived, the hotel staff said they'd overbooked and gave my room away already. They then directed me to their sister property, which I eventually discovered was also totally booked. Several other QIS customers arrived while I was there, with a similar story. QIS took no ownership and was unhelpful, leaving us all stranded and scrambling.

Wasn't checked in till 40 minutes after check in. Supposedly there were no clean towels. About 15 people waiting and be rude and hateful. Stains on the carpet and holes in the wall. 5 days later and still waiting on my $100 security deposit to come back. Returned the rental car I had and deposit was given back and hour later

Beside a truck stop so it is a bit noisy. Not located in a convenient area. Rooms are old and need updating. Not the cleanest and beds are not comfortable.

Drug addicts in the parking lot sniffing drugs, carpet needs to be cleaned and a few other things

This property was terrible, we didn't even get check in into this hotel. Staff was rude , neighbor was very unsafe.

Quiet rest area with great staff

The stay was pretty good just far from everything and no good eateries around the hotel.

Free breakfast, great options! Bagels, breads, egg, meat yogurt, make your own fresh waffle my favorite! Delicious options for the price included in room! Very nice staff Plenty of towels for 2! Great service!!! Kind staff and people!!

The staff was great - the rest was just acceptable. Maybe? The staff was very attentive but breakfast options were a waffle or biscuits and gravy. My room had a dirty sheet but the staff quickly fixed it and were apologetic. The bathroom fan was a bit busted.

I was three nights in this hotels they have very old and dirty carpet break fast not good last day even no have coffe in breakfast juice machine broken I am not recommending to go any body over there

Staff was friendly however the hotel is very dated and run down. The hallway had an odor and the carpet was dirty and stained. The rooms were run down and dirty and the beds were old and uncomfortable. Breakfast area was dirty and the food selection was poor and the biscuits and gravy were cold. There was no one at the front desk when I wanted to check out around 9 am so I left the keycards and headed home. Normally I would have canceled my reservation but we were in town to see a concert so options to change were limited. I´m sorry but I won´t be back.

Didn't like it at all. Don't waste your money. 100 deposit is asked at the front desk. The TV didn't work. Breakfast is a joke. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T STAY HERE.
