Country Inn & Suites Modesto-Salida

What guests think

At Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Modesto-Salida, travelers frequently note clean, comfortable rooms, courteous front-desk service, and a convenient location just off the freeway, with recent renovations giving many spaces a fresh, modern feel.

Breakfast includes hot items and is generally decent, though several guests found it limited or repetitive over multi-day stays. Traffic and train noise, occasional thin walls, and isolated maintenance or housekeeping lapses (plus a few reports of rude service or booking mix-ups) were downsides. A good fit for travelers seeking straightforward comfort near the freeway.

The checkin was quick and efficient. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet offered many choices to eat. We used the pool twice - very convenient for seniors to access. The staff was friendly! We stayed over a weekend so got a good room rate.

Repairs being made in entry way was unsafe. No safety cones, uneven because of missing tiles, and tripping hazard because of exposed tile space setters.

When booking we asked for accessible parking and check-in. The property saw this and called to ask if we would like an accessible room as well. They even asked which type of shower/tub would be best for us. This was much appreciated bc when booking we didn't see any accessible rooms available.

It was fine but they were remodeling, the carpets were partially removed. Lobby was a bit messy. The room was clean. Beds were comfy but that street light located outside room 214 was very bright even with the curtains drawn.

Hotel was decent with plenty of parking. They offer a free breakfast. The only thing is the shower curtain in our room looks like someone with dirty hands grabbed it. But all else was great. Looks like some minor prostitution might be going on based on 2 different sets of folx that we saw. But all good.

Property was nice, room was clean. Only thing is we were there 3 days and they never came to clean room, take garbage , make bed or change towels. Maybe this is the new normal but I do prefer my room to be fresh when coming back from a long day and not having to call for clean towels and toilet paper.

The room smelt like urine and the floor by the bathroom was soaking wet. We didn’t get in until 9pm so we were too tired and just made due and left by 7am. The pillows were just cases there was no substance to them. Four pillows and my head was still flat to the bed. Very disappointed and if I had to come back for another baseball game I would not stay here.

Our stay was fantastic! We booked two rooms for our group of six, and each of us had a great night’s sleep. The rooms and the hotel have a fresh and clean new look. The mattresses are firm, but still comfortable, and the pillows are super soft, so you might want to ask for more. The bathrooms are spacious and have great shower pressure. The breakfast was okay - waffles, oatmeal, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage patties. The juice was a bit watered down, but there was coffee and tea available. Unfortunately, there was no hot chocolate.
