What guests think

Across reviews of Florence Express Inn, travellers report a mix of low price and occasional clean, comfortable rooms, but many describe serious cleanliness problems—especially smoke odors and roaches—plus nighttime noise and uneven service that can affect rest.

Several guests praised friendly front desk staff and noted good water pressure or a restful sleep. An on site bar and grill is mentioned, but the restaurant was closed during one stay and another review reported no breakfast or morning coffee. Rooms and furnishings can feel dated, though the property is reportedly under renovation. Expect a budget stay with significant tradeoffs.

Listen please take these people off your selection list please!! We had the night from hell!! They have roaches really bad!! Only reason I didnt leave my children went to sleep on top of the sheets. Waiting for the supposed maintenance man to bring spray! When he final got there apparently he went straight to the party that was being held!! The sign at the front tells it all! No refunds under any circumstances. We came for a church function in town by time we got back the roaches had a field day 10ish with 3 children! A hot mess!! I truly wanted to leave... the closet store gave me a bottle I had to fight roaches while my kids slept on top of the bedding they calmed down when sprayed but I shouldn't have had to do so...with a whole bar and grill!! Should be called roach hotel!! They come out hard at night! Left the lights on so we could make it till morning without roaches crawling on us...this makes you all look bad...

Cockroaches. Nasty cockroaches. Nice and personable front desk clerk. Attached bar/nightclub was loud at entrance but no problem from room. Clean appearance at first. But turn on the bathroom light, and nasty cockroaches scattered. Would have stayed another night but for that.

It had a Bar & Grill on property, that was good. Bad was that our room was dark because only one of three lamps had a light bulb and towels were like old rags.

There was a person already in my room when I arrived. So thought it was no big deal, but that I just received the wrong room key. When I went back to the front desk to notify the staff, they told me lets walk to the room together and check it out. As we returned to the room the person who was in there was gone, but was very easily noticeable that the sheets and towels were just used, the room was just 'freshly' smoked in and, bathroom had hair on it and bugs crawling out of the drain and the staff member said it looks clean to me and asked me if I was high on drugs and that I was just being paranoid. Wasn't very happy with my stay.
