Stayed 1 night

We showed up and the entrance, lobby and breakfast/dining areas were under construction. The pool, gym and other amenities were under construction. There was plaster dust in the air and not tarps to protect the lodgers coming in and checking in. The elevator wasn't working and was told that hopefully it would be working by 6:00 PM (it wasn't). My room was on the third floor, which I now had to climb the stair to reach. Having no cartilage in my knees, that's a major issue. I told that to the girl at the desk and she tried to find a room on the second floor, but had not luck. Later that evening, they did eventually get the elevator working. We were told that the breakfast would only have items that were finger food or things that could be microwaved. The warm breakfast items that they normally have would be available if we were willing to go to the hotel next door. When we went down to breakfast the next morning, the workers had plaster dust in the air drifting over the food. And there was nothing to drink. The food was not that great.

Great hotel, good price, well maintained, breakfast every morning, close to expressway but not loud, the staff was very friendly and helpful- always greeting you when you came and left The only issue we had was that they don’t come in to clean until the 4th day of your stay. (We were staying 3 nights) I have 2 boys and a husband that were swimming every day and golfing every day so they took a lot of showers. Towel just kept piling up. It would have been nice to have the room cleaned every other day.

The one problem was the elevator quit. Two days before that I mentioned to the desk clerk it was running slower. She said she would bring it up to whoever was over that. The morning we checked out it was out of service. We had a handicapped room as I'm 72 recovering from cancer treatment and my friend traveling with me has Parkinson's. We were on the third floor. All I got from the desk clerk was I'm so sorry about that. No offer to help us get our luggage down three flights of stairs. And apparently nobody took the warning that there was something wrong with the elevator. There was no offer to help us get our luggage down the stairs just I'm so sorry. We managed to get all our things down the three flights of stairs. I feel that since they were warned about it they failed miserably. I understand that things break down. But when you have a warning and you only have one elevator they should have been right on it. And at least offered to help us get our things downstairs. I think a partial refund on our rooms would be nice. As far as staying there again, probably not.
