Great staff. Love the breakfast availability. However, dissapointed that elevator was broken and had to carry own luggage down the stairs. Carpet was dirty.

Old. Dirty carpet. Elevator broken (long term?) and this was not disclosed until checkin. Beds are incredibly high which was fine for us but an older individual or someone with any type of chronic condition may have significant difficulty.

Small pool other than that it was great.

Staircase was cool. Nice atmosphere. Great staff. Parking area a bit small.

The pool was very small and there was no hot tub. It was ok but not as nice as other Holiday Inn expresses we have stayed at.

Easy to find, clean room, within walking distance to a couple of places to eat. Room was clean. Bedding was high quality. Pool was tiny. I think the load limit was 10. Breakfast was plentiful. The actual room had some rough edges, but still fine. The staff was very friendly.

Parking was simple, staff were friendly and the room looked and felt clean. Mattress was a spring mattress and a bit firm, but not a dealbreaker. Lots of options for exercises in the gym, albeit a little cramped.

The staff were super friendly. Property was clean and well kept, but could use some updates. The beds and linens were very comfortable. Pool area very clean and well maintained, although quite small. Bathing capacity of pool is a maximum of 10 people, which actually feels a bit too many. Breakfast was fresh, hot and tasty. Nice selection, as well.

I didn't like the fact that my room smelled old, i didnt like how it was dirty, indidnt like the fact there was no conditioner, the bathroom mat was filthy the shower curtain had black mold on it i took pictures was not worth the amount I paid at all

The room had an odor of cigarettes and sewer gas. The towel rack in the bathroom was broken.

The hotel has a weird smell. The shower curtain was dirty. I couldn’t take a shower after seeing it. The room was clean. Breakfast was great

Overall i was disappointed in the cleanliness of our room and the common areas. The carpets throughout the building were in need of deep cleaning. We had stains and uncleaned splashes on the wallpaper and lots of stains on the chairs in our room. I know we were paying only $200 a night and this isn't a 5 star resort but I still have a basic expectations of cleanliness. On the positive, the staff was very nice.

The hotel looked like it was severely in need of an update. I’m sure it was beautiful in the 70s. Our room smelled like dogs and the carpet was so old & disgusting. AC worked great though!

Very clean. We had enough towels and coffee which was great. I would recommend this place.

The Wi-Fi was awful. Super slow when I connected and then it shut off completely. I talked to the front desk and they said they would restart the switches and routers but I don’t think they actually did anything. The Wi-Fi never got fixed. I was on a business trip and told them the Wi-Fi was important for completing my work. They didn’t seem to care at all.

The bathroom sink faucet quit working shortly after arriving. The rooms need to be updated, they’re old and rough looking. Staff was great

Overall the stay was great with a nice breakfast. Our only complaint was the bed was pretty rough and you could feel the springs through the mattress.

If I could, I would give it 4.5 stars. The building is old and it shows, but it is clear that the management cares a lot about providing a great service which, to me, makes up for a couple of small slightly below par things. Cons: doors do not shield you *at all* from sounds in the hallway. This is true for a number of hotels, and definitely true for this one. Every time someone passes near your door, it seems like you have guests. This can be an issue for people with light sleep (not my case, though). Tubs/Showers are definitely old. The chair in my room was so old that a screw went through the cushion and made it uncomfortable to sit on it. Pros: everything else, including many details. They have Dove brand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. The hot water arrives *immediately* when you open it. I took a shower at 5am, and I did not have to wait more than a couple of seconds for the hot water to arrive. Beds and pillows are comfortable. There are a fridge and a microwave in the room. The breakfast has 4 warm items (eggs, bacon, potatoes and biscuits+gravy), plus a number of other options, including 2-3 types of fresh fruit, top-brand joghurt, high quality cereals, muffins, and even warm cinnamon rolls! Location is great, near the highway, close to a gas station. It is clear that they pay attention to details. I will be back next time I travel to STL.

The only thing wrong with the room I had was the ac/heat unit clicked non stop when it ran and had fan only option. The face of the unit wasn't attached and would fall off.

On our last night, there was a front desk young lady who had music playing so loud over the speaker above her that I couldn't even concentrate while I was trying to get some work done in the Business Center. And this was at 9:30 pm on a Friday night. It was very inconsiderate of an employee to play such loud music.

The cover for hvac was off. Still worked but annoying. But unsure why the heater has to put out cold & hot air. Isn’t that double work for units. Sometimes it does not pay to save in equipment on that. Just have to grin it & bear it. All in having a business.

Please for the love of God, get better updated wifi. It is entirely very difficult to work online !!! If you lower your price as your not giving us the service for the price we pay

Was ok… seams on the wallpaper in our room were separating. Room was very tight.

The staff /woman at the morning breakfast area was very welcoming each morning which was very nice. The property was kept very clean. We really enjoyed the little touches such as the free toys for kids in the lobby or the free candy in the lobby along with the bottled waters in the rooms, extra toilet paper and paper towels and so on, we will stay here again

We had 3 rooms with 2 queen beds some of our beds were not good. However the manager was wonderful and called to inform us that my mom had left her hearing aids and they mailed them to us. Wonderful service by the manager.

Needed a last-minute convenient place right off the highway on a cross country drive. This room fit the bill.

Not far from downtown St. Louis attractions. Very nice, great breakfast and value for St. Louis area. Staff super nice and helpful.

Great service. Very clean. Shower water pressure rivals a pressure washer. Breakfast is awesome. Best hotel I've stayed at in years.
