There is soooo much to like about this place. With one significant detracting item.Let's begin with the lengthy list of positives:Excellent locationVery cool, historic propertyThe location's amenities (especially pool and fitness center) were fantastic and easy to accessThe check-in instructions were clear and detailedThe check-out procedure was entirely reasonableThe unit was comfortable and well-appointedUsable, inviting outdoor spaceHowever, be aware:the bedrooms do not have ceilings! There are walls demarking the bedrooms, but they're entirely open at the top. This seriously impinges on your privacy. No question, it adds to the super-cool warehouse-loft conversion vibe. Is, in fact, implicit in the term "loft". It may very well be in the description somewhere, but I missed it. So depending on your traveling circumstances and your innate level of self-confidence, if you're looking for privacy after you've retired for the evening (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), factor this into your decision. But otherwise, in every other respect, excellent experience!

Great place, centrally located and management was very responsive when a neighbor passed out with a movie on blast. Hammocks on the balcony were fantastic and place felt very large. 8 year old loved it.

Stayed while son was attending a nearby camp for the week. Property management was great. Was nice to have a pet friendly place and so many pet friendly restaurants and parks near by!

Location is easy 8 min drive to Duke U Hospital but felt like a small escape from the serious purpose of visit. We were attracted by the hammocks for that reason and it WAS nice to grab a swing. As a close-proximity stay — as long as you don’t want to be right on the hospital campus — it was a winner. Nitetime arrival was no problem due to code entry. Plenty of room for 2 and would work equally as well for 2 couples who get along in shared spaces. Just one TV, but WiFi was fast & reliable for streaming. Bedroom walls open to ceiling so keep tantric acts muted. Bed was comfy and all rooms were spotlessly clean. Lighting in bdrms moody vs bright.Generous # of dishware, utensils, and glasses, large fridge water-filter pitcher drip coffee maker and microwave. (No toaster, no large mugs.) With several restaurants within a few blocks, kitchen perfectly stocked for take-out & leftover meals. Just the basics for pots & pans, tho, so if you need a specific item, ask if available. Laundry room is right across the hall and detergent is provided. Machines accept credit cards or phone pay.Parking in lot in front is a dice-roll but we lucked out each night & backup lot is 1blk away. Longish walk from elevator to room, so opt for wheeled luggage.Super well stocked with shampoo/conditioner/soap/ towels/paper products.Only con: 3rd party vetting requires all guests’ selfies, primary license photo & sig, a privacy concern since no data protection terms provided.

..but the walls not going all the way up felt a little strange. The windows to the hall and family room were actually a little fun. The bathroom is finished so cheaply. Chocolates only, no water, no coffee. Too many fake plants everywhere. Didn't love the entry to the building. I did like the brick walls and the location was pretty good. Can park in the lot if you are lucky, otherwise you have to walk a block to the garage.
