Fairfield Inn & Suites Hartford Manchester

I've stayed in my fair share of Fairfield's but this one missed the mark. The bed seemed old and springy and the room was still humid and warm even though i set the air to 60 (mind you my air at home is set at 70). Continental breakfast was standard. The gym was very small with 1 elliptical, 2 treadmills, and one bench. The pool and hot tub were closed. I had no interest either but noticed that the unsafe sign from the inspector on the door was from May.

We had an okay stay at this Fairfield property. However it is very misleading that the pictures show that there is a hot tub and when we called to ask if the pool and hot tub were open we were told yes however when we got there the hot tub was nowhere to be found. We stayed there last year and there was a nice big hot tub which is why we picked it again this year so it was definitely misleading and a bit of a bummer. Kind of a sneaky move if you ask me and we will be looking for another hotel in the area for next time. The breakfast was great and the people were nice so just mixed feelings overall.

The light in the bathroom flickered and sometimes went out. Front desk said maintenance man was off all weekend. Couldn't move us since we didn't book trough the hotel. Spa was more the ickkky. Dirty foam, couldn't even see the steps practically.

The hot tub was very dirty and the staff was rude.

Staff was fantastic. The area around the hotel is unkempt because of the very sparse mall. But rooms are nicely kept and clean. The first floor smelled of chlorine from the indoor pool which was a little overwhelming. Breakfasts are filling and pretty good.

Upon arrival, we discovered that there was no longer a hot tub. This was one of the main reasons we booked here. Not a deal breaker, but the attitude of the front desk person was very rude and cold about it. Im assuming they had a lot of complaints, but I had sinply just asked about the pool/hot tub hours. We also got to our room and the tv was on and it smelled like someone just used the restroom. We stayed 2 nights and they came in to refresh even with the "do not disturb" on the door. They left the tv again after doing this and did not give us fresh towels after tsking oir dirty ones. Pool are was clean and the breakfast buffet was always clean and well stocked. Overall, I did not feel this hotel was worth the price I paid.

It was clean enough. Pool didn't look too appealing, too much chlorine, or some white substance on top, we decided to skip it. It is not large, small enough for kids to play. Saw hot tub but skipped it as well. Breakfast was ok. Bagels were defrosted, our kids don't like toasted and they didn't taste as fresh because were still cold. But overall, we liked it. Denis at the front desk was very pleasant. We didn't see no other staff.

The woman at the front desk was friendly. Staff interaction wasn't really the problem. There were several people hanging out in the parking lots, smoking and also in front of the doors to the lobby. As soon as you pull into the parking lot, you can smell marijuana. The hallways smelled like marijuana and some of the rooms smelled like urine. Our room had a pull out sofa in it, but there were no extra sheets or blankets or pillows for the pullout sofa. So I had to call and ask for them, and after waiting 15 minutes no one came so I went down to the desk and apparently we were forgotten about, so I just got them myself. Overall not a good experience, will not waste my money again.

We have stayed there many times and love the convenience. Overall the stay was fine, but the bathroom was not as clean as I would have hoped. I may visit again but will also look at other options.

My to go Hotel when I’m in town! Super Clean, Receptionists always greet you with a smile ! Good breakfast!

The staff was very accomodating. The first room had a bed that had sheets with blood on them and tissue with blood on it. Staff very quick to fix however.

We stayed for 2 days and housekeeping never came to see if we wanted our room cleaned, restock the towels or coffee or even empty the trash. The trash was overflowing and we didnt have enough towels. I had to find my own coffee.

me my wife and son stood in room 134 and my son kept telling us he seen cockroaches in the bathroom super unclean and made us feel very uncomfortable then we had people across from us so loud we couldn’t get any sleep

1. Room smelled like marijuana. 2. Curtains weren’t blackout, light came through all night. 3. People screaming and slamming doors both nights until 1am. 4. No breakfast: first morning: that group that kept you up all night ate it all, none left; second morning, all we have is cereal, can’t get eggs.

Comfortable room with easy access to all the shops and entertainment needed while visiting with family.

The AC in the room was so loud.

Overall, a nice place, but the bed and pillows for some reason we’re just not as comfortable as it has been in the past. But overall, I still like this hotel.

Bed was sunk in open my curtains and I was facing a wall I got no sleep that first night it was terrible

The pillows really need to be replaced. They were so uncomfortable. Lost power in the area last day of the trip. Hotel didn’t offer any sort of compensation for the trouble.

Your told that your room will be cleaned every other day but that didn’t happen and when I complained about it I was told that the cleaning crew was “backed up” and didn’t get to it ! If that’s the case then they need to only take reservations IF they have the staff to clean the rooms as scheduled! Also the sink faucet was broken and there was no cold water - and that didn’t get fixed until the 3rd day.

I made reservation for 5 nights. I called while enroute to let the staff know that I would not be able to check in on the first night due to inclement weather. The staff at the front desk left me on hold for 30 minutes. I then reach out to expedia for assistance and was told that I would receive a credit for that night. I approached the front desk to check in and observed the manager (Justin)place 2 water bottles in a bag and handed the room key to the guest in front of me. When I approached the front desk, I was not greeted and 2 bottles of water and the room key were placed on the desk- very different experience. On the 2nd day of my stay, I returned to my room in the evening- to find that the bed was not made and the room was not cleaned. I called the front desk and received partial bedding and had to make the bed myself. At checkout, I noticed that my bill did not reflect the credit for the first day and inquired about it- I was told that the manager would not be in for the next 4 days. I called back on the 4th day and placed on hold for 15 minutes. Justin called back to explain that I would not receive a credit- despite me explaining the situation- which included a staff from expedia. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel and would never do business with this company again.

Young man in the dining room (Juan) was exceptional in keeping everything well supplied and hot. He was courteous and friendly to everyone. Made for a very good breakfast experience!

The staffs are excellent and the hotel impeccable.

Very professional, friendly, helpful.

Desk clerk was a little snotty when I had to go back and get new card keys since both did not work. Accused me of throwing them at him when I placed them on the counter and they slid.

Good location. Easy to get to. Straight forward Fairfield Inn. Place across the way was $40 more and didn't seem to offer anything better. Rooms were what we expected. What we didn't expect but was welcome was being right in the middle of a mall and shopping area which was great for us. Staff was great. Breakfast was fine.

Place was great. Breakfast was a nightmare. If I hear one more person complaining about the waffle maker I’ll throw it out the window.

I’ve paid much more for a hotel that didn’t give me as much in return as did the Fairfield Inn. Friendly staff, very clean common areas and room. Comfortable beds and sufficient heat and hot water. Breakfast included Chobani yogurt, homemade oatmeal with an array of toppings.Chocolate milk oat milk half and half. Biscuits bagels English muffins, pancakes and muffins.

It could’ve smelled a little bit better. My shower head was broken. I didn’t like that breakfast was horrible stale it could’ve been better they didn’t have eggs syrup for the pancakes. But no shade the stay was nice jus a little hiccups here a there im jus being honest.

Very friendly staff, breakfast was always stocked up, room was nice and comfortable.

No coffee out both days at 630am And on the Saturday building didn’t have power all day that was planned but guest were not aware

Room was really nice, excellent breakfast and we were allowed to use the breakfast room for a birthday party. Will stay again on our next visit up from PA.

Everything was fine but thought the breakast buffet seemed a little lacking. Sausage patties were the worst. And dining area was way to small.they didn’t even have staws in dinig area or anywhere in hotel. I asked.

Great facility. Very clean and excellent condition. Breakfast was excellent.
