What guests think

At La Quinta Inn Lexington-Horse Park, travellers describe a budget-friendly, pet-friendly stop with convenient highway and Horse Park access, consistently friendly staff, and a basic free breakfast, but also frequent cleanliness lapses, worn rooms, and intermittent facility issues.

Guests report the outdoor pool being closed or unclean at times, an airport shuttle that is inconsistent or unavailable on some days, and no elevator. Several reviews cite unreliable Wi-Fi/TV and occasional noise from halls, barking dogs, or loud HVAC. Beds and room size vary from very comfortable and spacious to less comfortable, with some updated touches alongside dated decor. Expect a simple, convenient stay if you prioritize value and location over polish.

Staff friendly, good selection for continental breakfast. No elevator, but could climb stairs to second floor. The only main problem that I had was the free airport shuttle was not available to pick me up from the airport that night I arrived. I waited for 30 minutes at the airport because they were calling the driver. They could not get ahold of the driver. I had called the previous day to ask about the shuttle and they said it would not be a problem. They need to put on the website that reservations or something are needed for the shuttle. I had to pay lyft to get a ride to the hotel.

Our check in host was friendly, efficient and a pleasure to work with. The pool however was green and you could not see the bottom. The room was clean however pretty damaged. Fine for a quick night over but would not want to stay longer than that.

While they advertise an airport shuttle, it's actually not available on Saturday or Sunday, and it took me 5 phone calls to get someone to answer the phone to tell me that. Nowhere does it say 'limited' airport shuttle- I then paid $40 to a cab driver to get me there. The front desk staff charged me for my room even though it was pre-paid. The room was just alright-tried to modernize it, but cheaply done. The exterior of the facility was poorly maintained, and there was feces right outside one of the access doors.

There was on decaffeinated coffee in the room. I called down to the desk and was told that I could come down and & get regular coffee packets. I was already in my pajamas but went down anyways because I do decaffeinated. Someone should have brought it to my room. The shower had hairs in it so I'm not sure if it had been cleaned from the previous lodgers. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfy. My shuttle to the airport was on time.

I don’t know where to start. The bathroom was not clean or partially cleaned. The shower had stuff on walls, mold on shower head, mold growing on the ceiling. The trash outside was over flowing at all trash cans with food on ground. The dumpsters were overflowing with trash on ground as well. The entry way on side of building smelled like cat urine and had bird feathers and feces everywhere. The pool was closed by the health department. The room had new beds and sheets were clean. Towels had stains and the ceilings were peeling. Housekeeping was not thorough sometimes they made bed and left towels and sometimes they left towels and changed trash and didn’t make bed.

Our room was so dirty! I have attached some of the pictures. Bed did not fully cover the frame and underneath was disgusting. The air unit had dirt/mold in it. Pool had been closed by the health department due to structural reasons. The bedding was so worn and discolored, pillows were the same. I will never stay here again.

It was ok for a quick one night stay. The breakfast was great and the common area was clean and well maintained. The room had corner baseboard pieces missing, the floor was coming apart in the bathroom. There was dog food crumbs and muddy prints on the chair and on one of the comforters. It was manageable for the short time we were there.

1)As soon as we enter the room my son mentioned there was blood on the floor, after I inspected it I realized it was only ketchup, I took a wet towel and wiped up the red spots on the floor and wall 2) After our evening activities we returned to room round 11pm I climbed in bed and found a dirty sock from a previous guest between the bed sheets clearly proving the bed sheets weren't changed it was late and the other bed looked fine so I slept with my son. 3) In the morning while showering there was racist word written on the mirror that could only be seen when the bathroom had steamed upped

If cleanliness is a top priority, I advise staying elsewhere. Upon entering our room we always to a walk thru to make sure nothing is broken and what not. There was a plate of waffles left in the fridge, empty for all shots around the bed left from previous guests and small hairs in the shower

Room was dirty, hair and food crumbs everywhere. pool area was dirty and unkept. The hotel entrance handle on our side of the building was broken, as a result the door did not lock or require a key card so anyone off the street could enter the hotel with ease. The lights in the parking area were very bright, and the curtains in the room didn’t provide good coverage so the room was very bright all night making it difficult to sleep. There was a party in a room down the hall. 15 people or more in a single room, they were still up partying when I left at 6am, the entire hall stank of marijauna. Terrible stay.

My daughter and I traveled for family matters and she is disabled. Our first room had no hot water and the desk agent was completely uncaring and dismissive. She did ultimately provide another room, but that room's floors were falling apart. The third room (changed on our second day there) had similar floor issues, but at least consistent hot water. Our room wasn't cleaned before our last night there - terrible. The only bright light for the stay was desk clerk Wilma, who was sweet and kind to my daughter and did the best to help us with what she had available.

But Stephanie on night shift called to make sure we were ok, since we had spoke earlier and we still weren’t there. Upon arrival she was kind and very friendly and helpful. Since we arrived so late she even gave us an extended check out. The room was spotless, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Will definitely recommend and be back. Thank you for everything.

Right off the freeway, next to gas stations, places to eat, and lots of other hotels. It was in quite old condition, probably had been remodeled. We had a few tiny things that needed fixing on the room (a loose shower handle, etc), but overall everything was ok. Breakfast was a full continental breakfast offering. Guest laundry has 2 washers and dryers available and it worked just fine. Our room window faced a walkway/another building wall, so not a good view, but it was not relevant to our stay.

I’ve booked this property twice in the last month for school, it’s been my go to and I know to expect, they are clean, staff are nice. The first time staying here a homeless guy tried to get over the fence at the pool, *house* tail style for notified and took care of the situation safely, cautious and effectively. This one definitely be my go to hotel when I’m in Lexington. It also has a Cracker Barrel within walking distance, plus a McDonald’s and tow gas stations nearby.
