Super close to good dining locations, bars and events. The pool and hot tub are awesome. If you are not used to parking in Minneapolis, MN parking can be confusing but there are lots of parking garages nearby. Next time I would probably just use the valet option,

disappointed that valet was closed at EXACTLY 10pm. had to park across the street and find my way to the hotel in a rainstorm. A/C didn't work in the room...was 77 all night. Room was fine...nothing special.

Property was fine. Restaurant was closed for remodeling, so we had to seek outside options at the end of a long day but the concierge was very helpful. Pool had a metal bottom and was cold. Biggest disappointment was that we were in the pool for 2 hours and asked for towels 4 times during that time and they were never delivered. Terrible service from that standpoint.

Total inconvenience with regard to parking and parking accessibility. Westin parking inaccessible night I arrived(Thursday). Parked across the street @ Gaviidae Commons underground parking. I'll be writing them a letter of intense compliant for my inconvenience and no info or reason given for the closed access(skyway)!!!! to get my car out of the garage on Sunday morning. Walked around the building twice in unshoveled snow to find access to the garage. Security guard I reached and spoke with via intercomm had a heavy foreign accent-so no help. NEED TO INFORM GUESTS OF THIS INCONVENIENCE. HAD NO HELP INITIALLY @ 8:30 SUNDAY MORNING!!!!!!!!! Finally through grace of God saw two ladies with :ambassador" on the corner who helped me find a skinny door that was open to access the garage. We then had problems getting to my car because the freaking elvators were turned off over the weekend un beknowst to the ambassadors and me. Probably won't choose to stay here again because of the parking " keystone cops " scenario trying to get my car out of the garage..oh did I fail to mention $36 a day cost at this building -same as the Westin

We stayed here while visiting our daughter for family weekend at UMN. Our overall experience was excellent, and the hotel was beautiful! The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly & accommodating, and we felt very safe, even with the offsite secured parking.

Key entry for the room was defective most of the time. The room was not the cleanest. There was also a very unpleasant smell in the room . The vent for the air was extremely dirty. We both got sick from some kind of bacteria that came from unsanitary vent and filtering system not maintained

The room had food and candy wrappers on the floor when we got there. The hot water took over 5 minutes to warm up. The ice machine was broken on our floor. The kitchen was shut down for remodeling so very limited access to food. Could've at least had a few items in the lobby. No airport shuttle.

It's clear that this property was once really top of the line. However, our room was not very clean when we checked in, and there were some maintenance issues. There were lots of stains and smudges and rips and dust in the room. The amenities were very nice; tons of little perks and comforts, like coffee in the room and a workout facility and pool. The night staff was not very friendly; we checked in late, and the guy at the front desk had a big bottle of Kratom sitting there, and he was like "hold on". He gave us no information about anything when we checked in, he just said "your room is that way" and pointed toward the elevators. I think it would be nice if hotel staff would share information about parking with guests before they arrive. The garage across the skyway from the hotel is $75 a day. Mostly a nice stay, but just needs some attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and a better night staff.

The room was a bit dirty, the roll up shades didn’t work, and the AC was set at 65 but plateaued at a balmy 73. The lobby was exquisitely beautiful but that did not extend to the rooms. The view of the city was actually a view of the roof below, not the city. Overall, the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

We loved the bank building, lobby and common areas, and location of the hotel. We have been long time fans of the Westin experience and the building/location definitely met our expectations. We love walking into a guest room to find a wonderfully made bed, good smells and a sense of luxury. At this location found the guest room experience in room 509 very underwhelming. The seat of the desk chair was very worn, the bed was sloppily made and the duvet cover was frayed. There was dirt stuck on the sink and we got an overall feeling of uncleanliness. We came for a couples night away and wished for a better experience. Without learning about more focus on delivering the consistent Westin experience we are used to at this location, we would not choose to return.

The hotel was alright but my room was weird as windows were up high on the wall. I can’t really look out / down as in a regular hotel window. Door of bathroom opens with swinging into the bathroom- and i don’t have space to stand at the sink. Need to close the door to have room to use the sink. Weird hotel room ever in all of my travels. Thumbs down on room.

The television in our room did not work sound would come on but no picture on the screen. I was informed the engineer had already left for the night and was offered points or a Starbucks coupon. Neither of those were helpful in solving this issue or compensating towards my current stay. My check in went great, the room was clean, but unfortunately our time in our room was not enjoyable for my family.

At first this seemed like a great place to stay--the location is fantastic, and staff is friendly. Unfortunately, their A/C does not work. They sent a maintenance technician which did not fix the issue. Then they claimed it was because they have motion sensor A/C, but even when we were in the room, it did not cool off. They did provide a box fan. But after seeing other reviews, it is clear their A/C does not work at all (at this time anyway). Our room was 77 and stuffy, which made for an uncomfortable night.

The door to the bathroom was the stupidest setup i have ever seen. If they had installed a barn door or pocket door it would have been ideal. The door only opens halfway which requires you to stand superclose to the shower then close the door to access toilet. Super small bathroom and a little outdated for a pricey room

Housekeeping staff: top-notch. Front desk staff: Not super helpful or friendly. I booked a city view room and got something on the fourth floor with a view of an asphalt roof. Never got the free WiFi access I'm supposed to get as a Marriott Bonvoy member. The key cards are wonky and take multiple tries to work when operating the elevator or opening doors. Towel racks are almost non-existent in the rooms and not near the sink. The fitness center is well equipped and the hotel's happy hour, while a bit pricey, was well attended. The Metro is nearby and runs frequently, which was great for trips to the U of M campus and St. Paul. Decent restaurant choices nearby. Overall an average experience. I got a nice deal from Expedia so I'm not mad about it but will probably just get a Vrbo next time since I learned that Marriott won't let you earn loyalty points if you book through a third party. The hotel itself wasn't memorable enough to make me come back without that perk.

They had 1 person checking in after a major football Game. The girl was doing amazing but it is a safety hazard for one employee to be dealing with a crowd. She had to leave and go get luggage for people as well. Why would one employee be checking in people to a major hotel on a very busy night?

The hotel Maddie was intentionally not helpful, ignored calls for help and maliciously provided inaccurate information that works have caused me to pay added fees. I'm addition my room was in a location that did not have an exterior window. The one window was to an dimly lit atrium. It was like being in a dungeon. The best part of the trip was Diana at the front desk. Aside from her Maddie needs to learn to treat all clients the same and provide professional, courteous and non discrimatory care.

Diana who works there, helped set this up for my kids who were travelling on their own and she was an absolute GEM!!!! They had no issues checking in and felt safe and it was so close to the Stadium for the concert they were attending. Thank you Diana :)

I’ll be quick. Elevator broke on the first night. Air was broken for the first 3-4 nights. No one ever answered the phone. Dried pee was on the toilet WHEN I GOT THERE. The motel 6 would’ve been better… and cheaper. Restaurant was also closed for repairs

Nice property, much larger than I expected. We picked it to be in walking distance from US Bank Stadium - a short 15 minutes. We felt safe in the area, entrances and elevators were secure. Room was very clean and well maintained, and our floor was nice and quiet.

Nice hotel and quiet. We loved that there was a Starbucks located in the hotel. The beds and pillows were the best- we slept great! The cold/hot water was a bit touchy in the shower and took a while to get the right temp. Restaurant in the hotel was closed for renovations and I was notified of that in advance. Great restaurants within walking and fun nightlife nearby within walking as well.

This is a super cool property (renovated gorgeous art deco bank) in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The bar downstairs is classy, fun, and has delicious cocktails. Our room was so quiet and so comfortable - would stay here again and also recommend to friends!

Nicky the bartender at the Bank was awesome. We sat at the bar and he was so friendly and made our experience unforgettable. Next time in town I’ll stay there again and definitely look for Nicky!

My only criticism would be the staffing at the bar/restaurant area in the lobby. Both areas on an extremely busy Sunday due to the Vikings game were so busy. The staff worked their selves ragged—however, the were very, very pleasant!

Bar closed at 9 so that kind of sucked. Restaurant and lobby were under construction so that was inconvenient too, but not a big deal hopefully it will be nice when it’s done. The pool and hot tub are very nice too. I like how convenient this hotel is with the area it’s in and the restaurants and bars around it. Parking for first time guests can be confusing because it is across the street from the hotel. When you find it though the parking lot is nice, safe, and convenient. One other thing I didn’t like was there were no vending machines for snacks. Only option late at night was uber eats or door dash and sometimes late at night that is unreliable. All in all I like this hotel.

I recently stayed at The Westin Minneapolis for two nights and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. While the staff was very accommodating when I fell ill—promptly providing extra pillows, fresh towels, and a mop to clean the bathroom—the rest of my stay was far less positive. When I booked through Hotels.com, I opted for a breakfast credit. However, the restaurant had very limited options, and no gluten-free choices, which was frustrating. Additionally, I was charged for breakfast on the first day, even with the credit, and discovered on the second day that the hotel does not honor the credit. I had to reach out to Hotels.com to address this, which was an inconvenience. Parking fees were also misleading. I was told it would be $32 per night, but when I checked my bill, I was charged $35 plus tax per night. This miscommunication was frustrating and felt deceptive. Lastly, the hotel appeared understaffed during my stay, with several wedding parties happening at the same time. It took much longer than expected to get answers or assistance, leaving me feeling like the hotel couldn’t keep up with its guests. Overall, while there were some positives, the lack of proper service and communication made for an unpleasant stay.

Loved this hotel. Incredible on site restaurant/bar that is a must-visit. Lobby was gorgeous, check in east, and my room was well cleaned. Mattresses could be improved- felt a little cheap, even with the Westin bedding. I loved the pool and it looked like the gym was a great space! Would recommend!

The stay was fine but we were told there was a continental breakfast by the girl that checked us in. But there was not. We were also NOT told there was a charge for internet but we were charged. One person said we should not have been charged but then asked how to remove and that person said we should be charged.. all VERY unclear. And then two night parking was 80 for two nights not 35 per night as stated
