This was a good, nasic place to stay in Baton Rouge. It does have an exercise room, thought the electronics of the equipment were mostly not set up. Breakfast was good. There are better places I am sure, but in terms of value for money, this was an excellent choice.

The only minor complaint I have is the gym is very outdated. I still worked up a sweat but it was because I kept the ac off. Everything else was great. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable.

It was a nice hotel in a good area. Even being next to the interstate, there wasn’t much noise from the cars unless you were outside. The room was comfortable and clean with no issues noted. There were a few problems which would make me stay somewhere else if I had to be there for an extended time though. The first thing was that the WiFi was just terrible and did not work well with almost anything we tried it for including the actual hotel TV and iPads for the kids. The tv was pretty slow and annoying to connect to sometimes so a lot of time was spent trying to figure out how to make it work. There was no breakfast since it was New Years Day when we checked out. Thankfully the area is full of food places. I never thought I would be complaining about a vending machine but it was very annoying that they were completely disabled. They weren’t broken, just disabled.

I personally never write reviews, but I can't help it for this one. Upon attempting to check in, we were not greeted. Instead we walked into the lobby to hear about someone being stuck in the elevator, and the manager being focused on that. We were eventually checked in mid-conversation over speaker phone with the attendant talking to an elevator technician. Not sure what came of that, but we took the stairs just in case. The hotel is dated, no big deal, most are. The room was clean except for the mirror by the entry door. The bathroom door had to be forcefully shut. The A/C got colder the more we turned up the temperature. The plunger for the sink plug was broken, so the sink took a long time to drain. The first morning the front door to the hotel barely would open a few inches, we had to turn sideways to get through. When we returned that night and tried to open the door, we were yelled at by the manager, in regular clothing, trying to say we broke the door. I would be fine with all of this if it were a cheap hotel, but I paid the same price as the numerous ones around.

The good: Overall clean. Breakfast eggs, potatoes, Turkey sausage, pour waffles in two flavors, grits, cold cereals, muffins & bagels, juices, coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Laundry available, $1.50. Well lighted parking. Business area without riffraff. No marketing the lack of daily room cleaning as “green.” The bad: Needs a little cleaning attention in the details. They obviously use lots of disinfectant which you can smell everywhere, but the stair doors have gross handprints, crumbs in the elevators & dirty behind one of our toilets. Just some extra in the corners would go a long way. The ugly: The noises coming out of room 205 at 5 pm with a do not disturb sign on the door. I just started talking all through the hallway so my kids wouldn’t hear it. Management can’t control who stays or what they do, but sure is the first time I’ve ever actually dealt with this scenario.

The mold on the ceiling, the dirty carpet(I am not sure it had ever been cleaned), the moldy smell, the dampness in the room, the AC that sounded like a jet was landing, and the trash in the hallways earned this hotel a rating of "terrible."

Checked in on Thursday July 3-6 2025, room was never cleaned. Had to change my own bed sheets and also had to get clean towels my self from front desk . , even the tissue paper wasn’t replenished. Went to front desk to see why my room wasn’t clean and guy said manager forgot to put on cleaning list. WOW. , then he said cleaning workers leave at 1 pm. So that means I had to do it my self , To top it off , didn’t realize that there wasn’t anymore tissue paper after using the toilet, so had to wipe with the Kleenex tissue. All guy at desk says Sorry.

Had an issue with my room when I checked in. I was traveling to Baton Rouge with my two sons to watch the LSU football game. I reserved a room with two queen beds, and was told that I had one king. Everything (including this hotel) was full. They were able to move some things around and get me a room with two queens. It was a 6.5 hour drive to get there, and I was really not in the mood to deal with this. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR GOING THE EXTRA MILE, AND GETTING US TAKEN CARE OF!!! Arrived late and found toilet clogged in my room. When I called down for assistance, I was told they had no majntenance and offered the plunger they kept at the desk. I asked for the manager and was told he went home for the weekend. I asked for a new room and was told no, that was not allowed. I left and went to the Holiday Inn a couple of buildings away, where for an extra $29 per night they don't require guests to do their own maintenance or clean up after other guests.

We tried to cancel the trip since we paid for travel insurance. The hotel denied us and did not give us a refund for the travel insurance. When we got there, the air conditioner didn’t work and instead of giving us another room they made us wait in the lobby for hours until it was fixed. This place is in dire need of updating. Needs paint, new molding, fixtures chairs and tile.grout and caulk was gross. They started picking up breakfast before breakfast was over. Man did not care that people were still trying to fix their plate. He didn’t look at anyone or say anything , just went around in a hurry picking up before you could finish. And there was a lot of noise in the hall very early that woke me up.
