It says Spark by Hilton... umm ok but you left out this is an old outdated hotel that his now changed to be Spark by Hilton. My family and I stay Hilton all the time and this is by far not the Hilton standard that I am use to. Lets start with one elevator was broken the entire 2night stay and the other was half working, and we were on the 4th floor. Elevator is also nasty. Sure there is complementary coffee and tea 24hrs but there has to actually be coffee or tea for it to be available, not even HOT WATER in the the thing! Breakfast is very very basic! Bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, muffins, and oatmeal. God forbid your a diabetic or cutting carbs lol There is no microwave in room, there is one downstairs but pray the elevator is working. Overall the room is ok, nothing special, shower could have more pressure but at that point I was just glad it was working. I honestly would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed at Spark by Hilton for a quick trip and it was exactly what I needed. The room, hallways, and common areas were very clean. It’s not full of extra bells and whistles, but it was perfect for a short stay and quick turnaround after my flight. The shuttle service to the airport was super convenient and made travel stress-free. Great option if you’re looking for something simple, clean, and easy.

I enjoyed my stay at Spark. It was close to the airport, I81, and several shops and restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, and I had no issues at all during my two night stay. The tv even was on with my name and welcome when I first arrived in my room - that was a first. Perfect for a one or two night stay in the Star City.

This seems to be a property that was bought and renovated by Hilton’s brand. I found two cockroaches in my room, although it seemed clean. They probably are in the walls from its previous ownership. The room key didn’t work well, but it was one night ahead of a flight the next morning, so I didn’t complain. But the brand is now tarnished in my eyes and I won’t stay there again.

Overall, I liked my room. Both the room and the facilities seemed very clean. My biggest issue was that we couldn’t find a way to properly regulate the AC. It either kept getting too cold or too hot in the room. And even with the AC running all night, I somehow sweated through my clothes - which never happens. I needed to be up early for an exam but my sleep was disturbed because I was so uncomfortable and sweated so much.

Pro…The desk people were kind and helpful. They presented themselves well. They were prompt when I ask for towels. The property was spotless and I’m EXTREMELY particular. The bed was excellent, so comfortable. The room was spacious as it was handicapped accessible. A microwave in the room would have been so nice. Also the coffee and tea being available the time was nice. The Cons…although there is a continental breakfast, it’s anemic. We only ate there one morning out of three. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

The elevator was broken at check in on Friday 4/11. Our room was on the 4th floor. The staff was kind and offered to help us bring up our luggage. The next morning on 4/12 the elevator was still broken. There wasn’t an out of order sign placed on the elevator and there was a gentlemen in a wheelchair that needed assistance, he was alone. He had no access to food. I told him I would let the front desk know. While walking down the hall to the stairs there was another man in a wheelchair. I let the front desk know and the woman rolled her eyes and then yelled across the lobby to the older woman working breakfast “come on we gotta go help this man in a wheel chair on the 4th floor”. They started complaining about having to carry him down the stairs!! I spoke up and said that they shouldn’t do that, that would be a liability and if they dropped him he could get hurt. They then said they were going to ask him if he could “try to walk”. I feel they were rude and insensitive. What if there was an emergency? How would they get out of the building? Shouldn’t wheel chair only disabled folks stay on the ground floor?

I didn’t actually end up staying. There was no way I was staying here once I saw it on arrival. You have to drive about 2 miles down a back road through an industrial park. I arrived after sunset so it was dark with no one or car in sight. Once you reach the very end of the road, the hotel is there. I got out of my car and saw lots of people standing in front of the hotel. Several publicly using drugs. Two fire engines arrived. I went into the lobby to find lots of people standing around. I asked the staff front desk why emergency services were there and one said she didn’t know but maybe an elevator had broken. I told her I was not going to check in and would contact hotels.com. As a grown woman who has traveled the world independently, I felt more unsafe here than many rustic places overseas that I’ve been before.

While the hotel was clean and comfortable, with a friendly check in staff, we were most disappointed by the breakfast included, as it was not up to the usual standard for a Hilton. There was no hot or prepared food at all, just a gluten intolerant nightmare of bread, bagels, breakfast cereal (and a mediocre fruit selection) - we went down at 9 (breakfast was until 10), and even the danish and muffins tray was empty/not restocked, giving us even less choice. As my priorities are a clean room, comfortable bed. Generous, hot water, and a good breakfast, I will not be staying there again, even though everything else was to our satisfaction.
