When we arrived we were informed that the pool and business center were both out of order. The lobby area closed at 8:45 pm and you need to use you key to enter though one of the three side doors. Unfortunately, all but one of the doors was out of order and there were handmade signs to tell us to use another door (which was also out of order). The area around the building is not well lit, and we felt unsafe walking all the way around the building in order to find the one door that was functional. The room was reasonably clean and the continental breakfast was sufficient. We won’t stay here again the next time we are at an event at the Talking Stick Amphitheater. We would have been better off driving a few miles to a safer area and paying just a bit more for nicer accommodations.

Good room for the price. My room was not ready when I checked in at 5pm, but after a 30 minute wait, it was clean. Because of the homeless population, the facility locks the front door until 9:00 am and advises you to use your room key and enter through the back door. This door recognizes the key and works about 50% of the time.

Everything was good except the guest laundry facility. The washer didn't spin enuff to take out the rinse water and the dryer was cool, not warm, and 3 coin feedings didn't dry the clothes thoroughly. After mentioning this to someone at the frnt desk, noted that both washer and dryer were tagged as broken.

I only gave it three stars for the facility because they have had an ongoing problem with using your card to get into the hotel when the front desk isn’t open. It was before 7:30 in the morning and I was loading my car and the key did not work in the front door nor either of the side doors with the electronic key entrances. The night desk clerk said they have been having an ongoing problem with this and it would be a while before it gets fixed. There is a phone by the front entrance to call after hours, but a couple of times I tried this and no one answered. I think because the front desk night person stepped away for a brief time which is not unreasonable. If this is an ongoing problem, this should’ve been fixed Much quicker and this should not be an ongoing problem because it is quite inconvenient to be locked out of the hotel after hours.

Safe and clean. Staff is nice. Work out area out dated, no hand weights available. Pool are ok but no towels out for guests. Breakfast could have more option. One day it was only biscuits and gravy. No one really ate it.

It was a nice place to stay. The hot tub never works on a busy weekend (you can tell by the wornout sign) Our room was right by the dining area up front, so we smelled coffee, food etc being made, all night. The room keys had to be reprogrammed everyday, which was an inconvenience! The front main doors are locked everynight at 8:45pm-9am. Guests have 2 doors to enter after hours, the side door and the back door... which neither are safe, nor did the keys always work. At that time of them not working, we needed to go up to the front door to fix our keys, as it was a challenge getting into the front door, that no one should face.. trying to get in with all the homeless hanging around.

This hotel is a disaster. I knew we were in trouble when the outside door nearest our room would not open with our key. We were informed that that door would not open at all. Then for the whole three days we had to constantly have our keys activated so we could enter the hotel through other doors and our room. The maids never entered our room to clean and change the linen. We never received clean towels. We were told to leave our trash in the hallway. Basically we were paying $200.00 a night for a flop house. There were NO SERVICES OFFERED. In the morning for breakfast there were no eggs. Nothing but fat and carbs. The pool was ice cold. The jacuzzi was warm but the jets didn't work. I have nothing positive to say about this place. I have always sought La Quinta when in need of a hotel. I liked them so much I purchased their stock when they went public and kept it until they were sold to Wyndham. However, after this experience I will never stay at a La Quinta hotel again. EVER!!!!!

This property was average. I found the staff to be helpful and the breakfast was decent. The condition of my room could have been better, it was older and could use a remodel. The bathtub had rust and the water drained slowly. It's just average.

I did not stay there more than 5 minutes the place was a dump, poop in the shower the room smelled like crack and poop the mattress had a hole in it and the shower was held together by caulking. Homeless people all over the place in the parking lot and at every entrance and exit

Terrible! Starting with checkin! Front desk gal did not perform professionally! She gave us no kind of direction or info about our stay. She didn’t even tell me where my room was located. I had to ask! She didn’t advise me checkout time, times for breakfast, absolutely nothing! So many things wrong with my room! Mold in the shower! Bathtub and toilet were not properly cleaned! Toilet seat was broken. Used shampoo bottles in shower. Sink clogged. Terrible lighting in the entire room! Hallway carpet outside room was filthy!

The staff was SOOOO so nice and they always seemed so happy to be there, the hotel was clean and nice on the inside. Here are our complaints/things we felt were weird: -we were told at check in that their new policy is that cleaning services/staff would not enter our room at all during our stay unless we call to request it. On our first day, we left to get lunch, only to come back and realize our room keys stopped working and so did everyone elses. Then we found out while we were gone, the cleaning staff did in fact go in our rooms, which in turn afterwards is when all of our keys stopped working. Weird. -while the hotel is nice inside, clean inside and very well lit throughout inside. The outside is a different story. The surrounding area is run down outside the gate and there are homeless and tweakers everywhere all hours of the day and night. The gate never closes on the el polo loco side of the parking lot, theres holes in the ground under the cemet parts of walls where people have crawled through to what we assumed would be to get to cars outside of cameras views. There is minimal lighting in the parking lot as well. -in our room, room 205, there was a decent amount of water damage and mold in our shower. Sagging ceiling around the light, mold and the wall leading up to the ceiling in the shower, water damage around the tub overflow hole and handles. Aside from thess things, I still give the experience a 4/5 stars because the staff was so happy, kind and friendly!

The staff was very pleasant, but the rooms were horrible. I had 2 rooms. One of the rooms, as soon as you walked in, smelled very strong of cat urine. Plus there was no shower curtain. In the other room, one of the beds had blood on the sheets. You could tell the bathroom floor had not been mopped, and the towels were questionable.

I stayed in room 127. It was a suite so I loved the space. It was an older building, but as every La Quinta I’ve stayed in, it was exceptionally clean. The one funny thing about the room was the mirrored closet door in the bedroom. It kept coming open. I’d go to close it, come back and it would be wide open. Before I headed out to my evening engagement, I actually pulled the luggage rack from the closet and propped it against the closet door to keep it closed. When I returned to the room, I found the luggage rack turned over and the door wide open again. I think room 127 might be haunted. I told your ghost I was tired and going to bed. I told him I didn’t want anymore shenanigans and to be quiet and I left the door open for him. He was respectful and let me sleep the rest of the night.

It was clean had a great pool. Staff was mostly friendly except for the breakfast server who was rather rude. The wifi was horrible. Kept dropping signal. Had to reconnect several times a day. We were sad that there weren’t many eggs at breakfast. The key cards and doors were a nightmare. Had to have them rekeyed ever time we re-entered the hotel.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. 1 worker on a Friday during check in time ? Literally took an hour to check in with 6 people in front of me. The guy had to run up the stairs every time, to make sure rooms were available. Keep in mind this was after 4 pm. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND HOMELESS PEOPLE EVERYWHERE

Check in wasn’t what it should be. For someone that use to work for a hotel check in is one of the biggest parts for guests. Knowing the time breakfast is and important things like if the main entrance is going to be locked and we need to use other doors is something that should be said at check in. The lady working was very rude from the time I got there to check in. I got there after 7pm after driving from California 15hr drive to pick my daughter up from college. After I had gotten checked in I had to leave to go pick my daughter up and got back around 9pm something. My younger daughter was feeling sick from the drive so I gave her my key to go the room. I went though the main entrance where the same lady seen me standing there so I picked up phone and asked if she could let me in. She didn’t want to and said I need my key. I told her I didn’t know the door was going to be locked and my daughter had taken mine because she felt like she was going throw up. She finally open the door then said I can’t come that way. I told her sry my daughter wasn’t feeling good and I just came back from my other daughter college. She was very rude. If this is how it then this needs to be said from the beginning not just leaving a note on the door saying if you KNOCK ON THE DOOR YOU'LL BE CHARGED 250. From the beginning she was rude on her phone talking to someone. If all this was said in the beginning and her not her phone it could have been avoided. Very disappointed with the check-in.

No maintenance on hand to repair tv, so no tv. You can’t setup a late check out until the morning staff arrives. Charges for early or late check in and out but only at this location as I’ve frequented many. First room booked into wasn’t cleaned (and I mean bed stripped and bags of garbage in at 10pm), and the manager doesn’t care to take complaints about the service or lack there of provided as she had an attitude about being called out on charges no other La Quinta has.

Staff was extremely rude. Internet went out 4 times in 2 days so we had no TV. Told the front desk and asked to switch rooms they said they would check into it and call me back and never did. Front desk staff are super rude and disrespectful. Breakfast was decent, lady responsible for breakfast was super rude as well. Elevator squeaks so bad and is scary to use. Neighborhood isn’t that good. Would suggest going somewhere else.

I recently had a disappointing experience at La Quinta. After a long journey, I arrived at 2:22 PM, only to be told by the front desk staff, Tobin, that I couldn’t check in until 3 PM. The response was unwelcoming, condescending, and bossy. When I asked if I could check in at 2:58 PM, I was sternly told “NO.” However, when I returned at 2:55 PM to get in line, she ( Robin) was accepting guests. This inconsistency and lack of consideration were unacceptable. The behavior of the front desk staff was not conducive to attracting guests, and I’m frustrated that La Quinta employs such personnel. Ever since I used to stay in La Quinta, but not sure again next time.

Good location and value for money. Check in staff on Friday 12th were great. Rude hotel staff on Friday night. Saturday 13th night staff was really helpful. Check out staff was good. Room looked dated with stains on carpet. Bed was comfortable. AC was really loud. No space to hang clothing. They locked the doors at night which is nice since there is a homeless encampment behind all the hotels in that area.

Went so we could be closer to the talking stick amphitheater for a concert. It was a good choice. Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff. Just in a sketchy part of phoenix. Lots of homelessness in surrounding areas, with that said, I felt safe at this hotel.

Staff was nice and courteous. However, we were on a 4-day stay and our key cards stopped working after the first day, a minor annoyance, but quickly fixed by the front desk person. The room was missing an item or 2, but we were able to get the items from the maid. Like I said the staff was great, my main issue was the area, which was pretty sketchy. I'll have to do a better job of checking reviews next time I pick a hotel in the area.

I Enjoyed my stay there and the room was cleaned everyday with clean towels. On my first day there breakfast wasn’t that great they had oatmeal and sausage and I’m not a big fan of oatmeal but on Saturday it was amazing there were plenty of options.

Everything was fine except for the breakfast, which was very mediocre. The only thing I could eat on my keto diet was the sausages, which were okay. Having both bacon and sausage would have been nice. I really liked that the pool was heated.
