Express Inn - Richey in Houston, USA

What guests think

Reviews of Express Inn - Richey highlight updated, good-value rooms and general cleanliness, while also noting inconsistent housekeeping with stains or odors, occasional bugs, and noise from upstairs, planes, or freeway traffic that can affect light sleepers.

Service feedback is mixed, with many calling staff friendly and responsive, but several citing rude or unhelpful encounters. Guests like the remodeled king suites, modern showers, and two-TV setups, yet some rooms lack a closet, iron, or coffee maker, and a few report slippery showers, thin pillows, or missing deadbolts. Expect a basic, budget stay with strengths in value but variability in details.

The room was great for the price point so expected no frills. The things we didn’t like is First we noticed stains on sofa, stains on walls & doors & the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly. I think this would be a great place if they take care of the rooms properly. Also be careful in the shower, it’s very slippery and my mom almost fell. Had to put a towel for us the stand on in shower.

Sheets were not clean and had women’s hair and stains. The room was full of cigarette burns, including the bedding, and was supposed to be a nonsmoking room. The parking lot was noisy. Would not recommend.
