Regency Inn Lakeport

I am a traveling lawyer and was sent to Lake Pond last minute. It was an absolute nightmare getting there from LA. Booked room through Expedia. Town is awful... well if you like that mountain, fishing, one lane roads, crappy internet then you will love it. Got to hotel around midnight after almost hitting a deer. Could not understand lady at front desk who had to tell me about bugs at the property and to turn all lights off so it doesnt get worse. Room curtains had chip clips on them, toilet had tape on it and the bed was like sleeping on a 2x4. Deplorable. No uber service out there. Booked for 4 days and trial was continued. Stayed there one night. The manager said he could not refund money on days not used even though I had reservation protection and told me to contact Expedia. I did... Expedia said I paid hotel directly and they could not do anything. Took me two hours to get Bob at the hotel to give me partial reimbursement. I only stayed one night and checked out next morning 0930 hours. I was there a little over 9 hours and he charged me 2 full days. Refused to give me the three nights I paid for back. Only gave me two and it took me two hours to get him to do that. I was on phone entire time at the airport trying to get back to LA to save $200 on the room. Not worth my time and NEVER again am I going back. Awful

The room was clean, however, the bed was old. It was a bit hard maybe because it was on boxsprings. Fishing was excellent! The dock does need to be worked on. But we made it work for us. The owner was very nice and cordial. Check out was at 11 and he allowed us to stay and fish throughout the day past 11. That means more than sleeping on a rough bed. We will book in the future.

I have stayed here several times with no issues even when I have to arrive late at night. The staff is always helpful and the rooms are always clean.
